Thx for the detailed review Micah - LOVE your videos!! Reading some of the comments it seems that some readers need to be aware of one critical marketing component - this vehicle is aimed directly at Supercar owners. These owners expect to pay $300K+ for a Supercar (chump change to some) and thusly the brand is whats important here. The vehicle must be the fastest, the best looking, the most Italian, the best ??? (fill in the blank) as they will now own a Lambo that can haul their kids/family, golf/ski buddies plus luggage to the cottage, resort, ski area in a brand that represents their lifestyle. Some of these owners also own $5-$100M+ yachts, $10M+ mansions, have the BEST seats at sports events, order a $1,000 bottle of wine at a dining establishment, buy $1000 mens shirts, Have pure bred dogs, travel often to Europe, attend art & cultural events and certainly don't have a regular J-O-B. No one needs to own/drive a Bugatti, Koenigsegg, RR, Bentley, Ferrari, McLaren, 918 Spyder, etc... but these brands are recognized to be the best of the best. So, when the opportunity to own/drive a Lambo SUV presents itself, those with means will buy it. They don't/won't seriously compare it to a current Jeep, Benz, BMW, Porsche, RR SUV etc. I was at an unveiling of the Urus here in Vancouver in March of 2018 and spent some time with it. I love the looks. The overall exterior shape and some of the dash looks very similar to the 2019 Audi Q8 but the drive, the engine, the exhaust notes, the feel, the ANIMA lever area, the aggressive looks of the front & rear ends are definitely LAMBORGHINI!! In Canada I spec'd one out (4 seater) to $320K CDN and the starting budget is about $280K. In Vancouver we have a strong Supercar community & many high end SUV's on the road too. This is the BEST LOOKING of the bunch imo. Its perfect for me as I take my buddies to sporting events, boys night out, golfing, hiking and up to Whistler & Kelowna during the winter months too. Yes my wife will drive it but not during potential snowy conditions. She hates driving (and terrible passenger too) in the snow. What many people fail to realize is that its a Lambo with the latest tech, a 641HP engine that does 0-62 in 3.3 with 627 lb⋅ft of torque at 2,250-4,500 rpm and it can haul 5 adults with luggage!! Its a Lamborghini folks that drives 5 adults around. - let that set in. Plus the exhaust note is AWESOME!!! Also, some people are complaining about the ANIMA lever and that you have to click thru to return to the Strada mode BUT...a little tip ... just pull and hold it and it returns to Strada automatically:-) Plus, Italian is in my blood (family from Verona & Treviso areas) so its Lambo or bust for me:-) Cheers from Vancouver, Canada!! All the very BEST!!
Tell you what. The Urus looks great and probably drives great. It is perhaps the world's best SUV for a driver. But it just doesn't scream *LAMBORGHINI* to me. When you think of Lambos, you think of angluar, sleek, or radical designs mixed with a strong V10/12 and insane noises. This however just feels... tamed. It's not a Lamborghini, but it is a great SUV.
@@youmongrel Seems reasonable to me. I've checked shipping prices for cars over from Europe before, it was around $2000. Now transport an exotic, that CANNOT be damaged...
the term "platform" is overused and without really understanding what it means. I'd love to see the space frames of both, but i suspect there are pretty significant differences, with geometries, materials and stampings looking potentially unrecognizable from each other.
No doubt this is an amazing vehicle, a feat of engineering and a pleasure to drive... BUT... shouldn't Lamborghini make something that evokes a little passion? Without the jagged-edge styling, this vehicle could easily be an audi or a porsche. I thought Lambos were supposed to be about being extreme. Throw a V12 in there (a lambo with a V8 is simply a travesty) and some huge all-terrain tires, something Rambo could drive while shooting a machine gun out of the sunroof at approaching Hind helicopters. The Ford Raptor is more of a Rambo Lambo than this thing.
Well i agree and like the sound of that but... lambo must have impressive driving dynamics and speed at the end of the day, and a ford raptor type suv or something wont cut it.
I saw a house with that Lamborghini Urus around this neighborhood I had to see if there a video of this vehicle and I can see there is and more. If I had the money I might buy this if I wanted a luxury SUV.
I was about to complain that it lacked a V12... but not even a V10? Ok, it's certainly an awesome car, but shouldn't it be some sort of "extreme" to carry the Lambo badge..
@@AFSienko Lack of a V12 is fine. The Huracan has a V10 and it's freaking awesome. But a V8 just ain't gonna cut it. You can have that in a Ford Mustang.
@@redvivid No. The weight difference is negligible. The actual reason is much more simple. You can't just grab the V10 and the dual clutch from the Huracan because it's not refined enough. And the current 8 speed cannot fit to the V10. Solution? They already have a V8 and a refined automatic that fits to it. Boom. Problem "solved".
This now tops my list of absolute dream car over the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S...and surpassingly similarly priced...thought this be more like the Bentayga and be at the 500k mark. I was a tad disappointed about all of the Audi parts....but what can you do? I think the performance balances it out.
Yep, as an over the road owner operator, my rate for enclosed transport on a vehicle over $100,000 is a minimum of $1500 plus fuel, road tax and mileage. Don't like the idea of the Urus being from an Audi Q platform.
I've always liked Ferrari over Lamborghini because of the FF & or lusso I like quirky cars this Lambo SUV is one of the cars I'm very surprised that I like I like a daily driver because I have a daughter and this could work all I need is like $190050 lmbo
Aurus and the chr has some bit of similarities on front end... but the urus is hotter version while chr is like a look alike version of the hot version
It' an awesome car, but I have to share in your disappointment. This is a LAMBO - it shouldn't be something Audi or Porsche could make. It should be some crazy, v12 powered armored assault vehicle...
@@jeremetriusoclaire6949 well I just some of us just have to accept that cars will forever change, Ford said screw sedans, GM in doubling down on EV, VW is investigating millions in EV, Volvo will no longer sell ICE engines, Everyone is making SUVs, and Tesla is still somehow the Kings of EV but constantly avoiding bankruptcy
There is a market for it. Even though I could have an Aventador, it is in my opinion a bit too much - I wouldn’t be able for example to drive it to work (I always drove Ferraris and the series 550, F12, 812 still have some class). So my first Lamborghini will arrive soon, and it is a Urus. I will use it to commute (and sometimes to drive to Mugello to go on the racetrack - but on a Ducati, not inside a car 😉).
Nope. The VW Atlas is on the cheaper MQB platform whereas this is on the MLB platform. VW made the Atlas for America because you want bang for your buck.
I don't care what anybody says, I freaking love this SUV!!! 🏁🏁🏁😎😎😎🏁🏁🏁
Lambos + Micah = instant thumbs up

No chance Lynn was going to get this review. Micah always gets the cool shit. Its good to be the king.
Yeah, she'll get the yaris review lol.
As my drug-addicted ex used to say, the magic ingredient is always speed.
LOLOLOL glad that it is your EX ;)
Hope u kept up
With the speed that is
Lol.... I cant even afford the destination fee.

Walking is good for your health and the environment. You are lucky! 😂
Stellar review Micah 😄. You and Tim are such an awesome team in these reviews then there's the hilarity you both bring that is truly incredible.
The concept looked so much better.
Isn't that what usually happens?

it looks better than a traditional lambo, tbh and with the ground clearance easily more daily drivable.
I like the way this guy reviews cars that I'll never be able to afford
I’m in love with this thing. Wow!
Some people live life and some people are living life. Good video as always good sir!

I don't know about all of that. But that Interior design is super clean.
Surprisingly practical.
I would feel more self-conscious driving that thing around than I'd be in a Huaracan or Aventador.
So a RSQ8 with a body kit.
Not really.
No..
Q8 is beautiful and has some of the same curves, but this shit is a monster power wise
Absolutely not
Yes they are mechanically identical. The Urus is only 4 times the price because of the badge.
Somebody give Micah every Italian exotic ever made, one at a time. I want to see this man review them all
waiting for depreciation to kick in like a boss.
00:05 The first car by Lamborghini that works on Norwegian roads.
I still would have liked to have seen the Huracan’s V10 at least in this thing. The Aventador’s V12 would be overkill but badass for sure.
The Urus looks really good.
THANK YOU MICAH. WE KBB FAM NEEDED THIS REVIEW. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH
Great review!
Micah makes the commentary more interesting than the car.
Would've been nice to see the infotainment system. You didn't mention it once. 🤨
17” brake rotors is insane. That’s as big as most cars actual wheels and bigger than some.
As Jeremy Clarkson would say: "Speed and power solve many things". He's right too.
That turbo V8 sound is so intoxicating.
Ain't gonna lie if I ever hit the lottery I am getting one of these! For the pure Excitement of course!! I like this over the Bentayga!!!
Nice Werther's Original interior..
Savage
Micah you're on a roll!
Also VW touareg!! Its also based in the same platform n cost half as much !

Hello? What about the sun visors. Do they extend?....DO THEY!!!
Well, it's either hyper or super SUV. Either way, I like it. Also, won't be surprised to see Tesla build one with Ludicrous package to compete.
