Where we normally fish NONE of the rods we had in the boat that day would work at all. So flimsy is completely correct to describe the uglystick and skp.

I did my first winter trip on the illinois river dec 7 1992, chainsawed my way from the boat ramp to the main river which was mostly open but there were big ice sheets coming down river but i found a wintering area and tore em up in 5 to 12 foot of water on the downstream side of a small island. It didnt always go that well and soon learned several techniques for hooking light biting big channel cats.
Epic Catfish, In the past ( Pre Obama) catfishing in Pennsylvania on the Mongahala river was great at all the coal fired power plants. Hot water discharges kept Flatheads all winter long. We only have Channels and Flatheads in Western Pa. since Obama closed all the Coal fired Plants we have to wait till spring to catch them. Stay safe from the most corrupt State of Pennsylvania. That first spot is proving to be pretty good for numbers. I saw another channel on the same spot a week ago. That lake has some biggins for sure, I've fished 20 or so tourneys there. Great content! Keep em coming.

Well i suppose we didnt- although the principle of the rod limit law is to insure that folks dont unfairly catch too many fish that they keep therefore over pressure the shared natural resource is reasonable and necessary we will follow it even if we dont keep any fish. Thanks for the heads up 👍

Nice video. They just introduced blue cats in there about 8 years ago or so if i recall. They did transport some bigger ones from the mississippi river previous to that though
Hello, their sir. I have fished the same lake this past summer. I don't live too far from it, so it's become kind of a normal place for me to try out. I usually fish at another power plant lake not too far from this one. I only do bank fishing but have done very well catching the blue. Great videos!! Keep them coming.

30 Miles north of Peoria you say...HMMM... That bridge looks a lot like one south and east of Peoria unless I'm greatly mistaken...great videos enjoy watching them.
Yes good change of pace. I have plans of fishing 6-8 different major rivers a few tributaries and a lake or two this upcoming season which is a little more than usual but not by much.
Epic Catfishig I fish Hoover Reservoir in Westerville Ohio I use skipjack and shad and I know there's 40 an50 pounder in there but I can't seem to catch them but I'm bank fishing I catch 10 and 15 pounders but do you have any tip on catching the big ones.And thanks again for the awesome videos.
