    same here with constipation. For 30 yrs I was chronicly constipated, pooped only 5-7 days. After excluding meat and dairy from food I started to poop every 1-2 days! :) happy happy now

    Yes! Thank you for covering this important topic and providing us parents with a new resource!
    I'd also love to learn more about vegan pregnancy. Specifically, I'm concerned about calcium intake. It's hard to find a vegan prenatal with calcium. I've basically given up, and am hoping that I get enough calcium in my diet eating oatmeal, seeds, beans and greens daily along with berries and a variety of other whole foods. I do eat soybeans, tofu and soy milk, but it's all organic and not fortified. I eat organic as much as possible, and very little (if any) organic products are fortified.

      Sounds like your doing great! I had the same issue and I think getting calcium from foods is best. I try to get my toddler to eat sesame seeds/ tahini every day or second day so that he’s getting a good amount of calcium along with a healthy diet.

    Garlic helped me to get rid off intestinal parasites within 2-3 days when I was 6 y o . My mom let me chew it raw and drink some water before bed. Garlic probably can help protect from other kinds of parasites: microbes, etc.

      Check out our site PCRM.org/FindADoctor! You can search the database by state to see a doctor in person, and if you scroll down, you can also search for telehealth providers who will see patients in your state. :)

    • @primitiveprimate5529
      @primitiveprimate5529 4 года назад +1

      I’m going to be honest, I don’t really know too well because I usually just use iodized salt in at least one of my meals but you can plug that into Cronometer and see how much of the sea vegetable will meet like 80% of the iodine RDI and remember that other foods will have iodine just not in concentrated amounts. As a reference 2g of dried Nori (based on chronometer) gives 50% of the iodine requirement. It does have a fishy taste so I’m not too sure how to get picky eaters to have it but I’m sure you can mask them by sprinkling them into your food or adding them to smoothies. I hope this helps!

    There are kids who have suffered due to low calcium as a part of their parents urge to make them vegan. They had prevailing laziness and fatigue. Most of them had lost weight drastically over the time. You should not force your views upon your kids. Let them choose when they grow of age.

    • @Cuhntcake
      @Cuhntcake 3 года назад +3

      That's your opinion. Parents have the right to raise their children how they want. They are going to do what they think is best and there's nothing wrong with that. You don't get to decide how parents raise their kids. You DO have a right to complain about it. But that's all you can do. Have fun(:

    • @ariawillows8915
      @ariawillows8915 3 года назад

      @@Cuhntcake at times parents can also be wrong since there are no set rules for parenting or it does not come with a guide book. Parents might mess up their children's health at the most crucial time i.e the growing age. The effects can be irreversible so it is better to guide people about it.

      There are also meat eaters who have diabetes or cancer as children. But ultimately that can be corrected with proper planning. There are many vegan foods high in calcium. If the child is underweight that usually has to do with a lack of calories, not an absence of animal products.

      Cheese cannot be healthy, it is loaded with fat. It IS a fat plus hormones and addictive. Please, read book “The cheese trap” by dr Barnard. It was an eye opener for me. When I see or hear anywhere ‘goat cheese’, in my mind I see goats with broken and bleeding horns. Producing any kind of cheese is a torture. Is it worth it?

    • @avartarjp
      @avartarjp 4 года назад +6

      Hallo to the cheese propaganda -because it’s nothing more, than lots of saturated fat, hormones, etc., not much nutrient at all. So it really has to be propaganda, when you really believe, cheese is a health food 😂. Then the propaganda obviously worked 😄.
