- My goal is to create a fun and positive place on the Internet for people to come and feel uplifted. I document my life as an author, presenter, blogger and columnist, but most importantly my roles as wife to Tom and mum to Buzz and Buddy.
Each Friday at 9AM I upload a new video in a series called DEAR CARRIE, essentially video diaries to my sister in law who we never get to see. Tom adds his thoughts into the mix on Sundays with Carrie replying on Wednesdays.
New to Monday's is MUMDAYS - with new uploads going live every Monday morning at 9AM. www.youtube.co....

Great suggestions!
Would LOVE to see Louise Pentland on here!! Fab podcast fab guests! keep up the good work G xx
I'm only sixteen and not a Mum however I find these podcasts really interesting and I love how authentic they are. Really enjoying this series :) x
Louise Pentland would be fantastic on this, she’s so open and honest that’s it’s funny but real! Love her
A lovely podcast, I really like that Fleur did what she needed rather than what is expected. Motherhood is so filled with judgement that it is hard not to be pressurised with: ‘do this’, ‘feel that’ etc. Breastfeeding is really difficult and professional can be so opinionated and expect that you know what you are doing. Calm helping and some guidance would go along way. My midwife didn’t turn up for a week after an emergency c-section and I was shell shocked x
I know exactly how Fleur felt when she didn't get the rush of love straight away. I was eighteen when I had my twin boys. I had them naturally at 36 weeks and as soon as they were born they were taken away from me and I got taken to theatre. I only got to hold them for 5 minutes before they were taken away. The next time I saw them was about 15 hours later and I was in a massive bed in this tiny room with three incubators either side and one twin was on one side of the room and the other was on the other side, I could only see the tops of their heads and it was heart wrenching. The next time I saw them I was up and about but I couldn't hold them. I don't think I really started to love them until they came home at three weeks old. They are six now and I still notice a difference the bond I have with my 4 year old who was with me from birth until we left the hospital and the twins. I still feel horrible for noticing it, and it doesn't mean I love the twins any less, but I definitely feel like the first moments that I missed out on with the twins are everything.
Please don't judge me for this! It's something I don't talk about often x
Ashy Rose7 thank you for sharing these thoughts xx
Would absolutely love to see Anna SacconeJoly on an episode!!
I could sit and listen to Gi chat for hours, she’s so relaxing idk how to explain it
This is so inspiring to me. I'm also quite terrified of the whole prospect of having children and prone to assuming the worst, so I love hearing that Fleur finds things way less bad than expected.
It depends a lot on your baby, whether your baby cries a lot or not makes a HUGE difference as to how hard the first few months are.
"Everyones got different nipples" my new tagline. Very nice podcast! Love Fleur and Gi.
This is the best one yet I Love Fleur so much! With my first I used nipple shields for the whole 6months that I fed him! I also used them with my second on and off for the first 2weeks!
Loved hearing more details about Fleur's motherhood experience so far! :) River is the cutest little baby! ♡
Just discovered this whole community through the book, loving this. Wish I had discovered when my first daughter was born. Listening to these will be the best advice to give mums to be or new mums in the future!!
Would love to hear Georgia Jones (Danny's wife) on your podcast at some point :)
such a lovely interview! loving these podcasts gi! xxx
I loved this interview. I see what you mean by your softer now, I can't explain how but you are. An the flow between you to was so nice. An you two are funny, ya had me laughing 😁
Hopefully when my husband and I do have children it will be as easy as yours sounds
My parents had a Springer when I was born and he was very similar. But when I started tottering around he became a little gaurdian. I leanered to walk by holding him ears and tottering with him around the house. He was a very gentle and special dog, so no guarantees yours will be perfect but do gets crossed
Fleur Bell doesn’t have have quite the same ring to it
My daughters name is Inara so I was always worried that I’d get teased for her name but now she’s eight and I’m like silly mummy it’s fine lol I think River is a beautiful name and I love love love birds so Wren is just stunning for me I think!!! I loved being pregnant and chatting with her and I was overly prepared as well lol That one on one time when it’s just you and this life you created is so beautiful. There is a joke with my family that the cord wasn’t ever cut because my daughter and I read each other so well, “telepathic “ my grams calls it lol. So blessed!! Thank you for sharing this with us friends!!! Much love!!!
Caolionn MacDougall aw both from Firefly
Catriona Walters yes!!! Thank you for seeing that!!! Not sure if she got hers from it but I did lol
Seriously loved watching them talk about their own experiences ❤️
Two of my favourite people together! yay!
I used nipple shields for 11 weeks! I had such a bad infection in one with 4 courses of antibiotics to get rid of it, and they honestly saved my breastfeeding. Would not have been able to carry on without them. I was lucky to have a supportive midwife. Here in New Zealand you can have an independent midwife who you see all throughout pregnancy, delivers your baby and sees you in postnatal visits after. My midwife was amazing and came round every day or two because of my infection. It honestly works so well! The UK should do that too, I’m from the UK and my mum had no support whatsoever when I was born and she gave up breastfeeding super early on because of the lack of support. Love this podcast Gi, you are amazing!
Yay, I've been waiting for this podcast :)
Yass! My 2 faves. Fleur is one of my favorite bloggers, and I've been following het for years. Gi is a new find who I've fallen in love with so quickly! Great to see you together in this!
Loved this!
I was surprised to see Fleur! But glad! Haha, I can’t believe for 7 years you thought De Force was her surname lol. Sorry. Ps I’m glad Fleur loves being a Mum, but some women do find it SO hard and struggle so much that they DON’T go on to have any more children x
The extra bags is the best plan my oh had to bring more stuff that was a disaster a woollen jumper?!?! For special care nearly died of heat stroke
Sucesso minha jovem

Really enjoyed listening to this xx
Love these podcasts! Would love to see Louise Pentland on here too :)
Love these podcasts makes me see that I didn't need to worry about my lbs development - he's 3 and only just started talking
Kathrin Elver Well you do need to worry? The earlier you get help the better things will be. I’m not saying panic but it shouldn’t be ignored , yes children hit milestones at different times but if they aren’t hitting them it’s time for advice and help.
He's been under speech since October he's being seen already it's taken ages to click now there's no stopping him
Dont be afraid to feed in public!!!! once you have done it once its a breeze! I feed anywhere. Expressing is a nightmare and i had to do it early on and at work. love BFing :)
Love these! Pleaseeee get Louise Pentland on x
Omg fleur!! That’s not your surname I’m in just as much shock hahahahaha .. wow x
It's Bell
Keyholder I didn’t actually want to know her surname thanks though 😅🙈
I love this ❤️🌷💕 fleur is so genuine
Aw this was so lovely Xxx
Omg YES to the men and cooking thing! How hard is it to rinse out a bowl and stick it in the dishwasher while the burger cooks?? Oh lord 😂
With me and my boyfriend it’s actually the opposite with cooking? 😂 I am the little tornado that just piles a bunch of stuff and he goes around cleaning after me. 🤷🏻♀️🙈
❤️❤️❤️
Hi lovely ladies - so what are your thoughts on epidurals now that you have been through labour? If you had it did you think that you could have coped without it? If you didn’t have it did you wish you did? I have heard so many mixed things and I don’t know how I feel about it - but I would like to hear people’s experiences (please no judgements of one another’s choices if you reply) xx
Lizzie Dean Makes I didn’t have one. I didn’t have anything , I was in labour 9 hours, full intense labour 4 hours. I’m not going to lie it hurt like hell, most indescribable pain ever however I knew a baby was coming and it just had to be done. I would do the same again, yes an epidural would have probably made it nicer but We’re trying for our next baby and I know it’s going to hurt like hell but it doesn’t bother me.
Hi Lizzie, I didn’t have an epidural with either of my children. And in hindsight, I’m definitely glad I didn’t. I won’t lie, it was excruciating painful and I was begging for an epidural (at 10cm and 15 mins away from the baby being born!) I had two relatively quick deliveries with gas and air only. I found feeling the contractions helped it all move along quicker and I was walking around, squatting etc. I was up walking not long after the birth having a shower etc. Hope that helps, Sally x
Sou novo escrito sou amigo Cláudia cozzella deus estar aqui protegendo nos todos na s as use paz
i also love it! its not as bad as what i would think it would be! haha second maybe? lol
Please have Louise on!
Watched this while feeding my 2 day old daughter through gritted teeth waiting for my husband to come back with nipple shields 😂
I also didn’t know Fleur’s surname wasn’t De Force! 😂
It's Bell I belive.
I had a C section and had the same delayed reaction when my twins were born, I blame the drugs that they pump you with!
Absolutely loved this 💕 💕 😊
