You and John were an amazing duo that really helped me invest more time into your content. Watching your content of east coast practice for SBO was golden content for me. Daigo, Rambo, Howard, chris loved it all.

It's still not even into the video yet but I know this is gonna be tough for me. I first got into your channel in early 2012 and a lot of it was due to your co-op playthroughs and Smark Guys with John. I was happy to catch up on old stuff over the years (you were right, John's first non SF appearance was Heavy Rain Taxidermist in March 2010) and be able to catch it live. I spent a lot of weekends having pizza, looking forward to Smark Guys episodes, and anticipating the next playthrough. I even got a lot of my humor growing up until now from your guys' quips. I'm happy that when you first lost your job you guys really connected because John seemed like that type of person to care for his friends. Nothing has really been able to replace that "right there with you" couch co-op commentary that you guys did, only really James and Mike have come close imo. I still watched John for years after - I guess ignoring this video was made - and I'm thankful you guys helped me get into each other's content. In my mind no one has done it better or more authentically then or since, so I think you were the best co-op duo there has been. It's a shame that pure and enjoyable things got ruined by outside forces and I'm sad that John (and Howard jfc he is not who I thought) ultimately saw things in those particular ways without expressing it. I was around 15 then, I'm 24 now and it's an unfortunate reminder that a lot of these things are just a time capsule and not meant to last.
It's a stark comparison watching 2015 Phil to 2022 Phil, he's slightly more mature than 2008 Phil, but still seems to be in the "primitive stage" compared to now. It's bittersweet watching somebody evolve, but I guess that's what life is all about.
I always thought Howard was very bitter that fans never cared about him like they cared about John. He was clearly trying to gain popularity off John, and Phil and became upset when it never financially benefited him. So of course being involved in a slander video he would jump all over at a time when it was the ‘popular’ thing to do with DSP.

the thing that really sucks is that dsp used to be a genuine dude just having fun. rambo was having fun with his bud. then dsp got werid and too power hungry. money really does change some people.
Genuinely what the hell is wrong with you, why dig up the past like this? You've spent the past half a decade attempting to clean up your image and avoid controversy, detoxify your channel and then you discard all of that for the sake of stirring up more controversy. I love watching your old playthroughs with John; I still do. I'm shaking my head in disbelief that you decided to make this 'reaction' to an old argument.
