its totally in the manual , and a hell of a lot more , there's a shortcut for every key on the keyboard, every key + ctl, every key + alt . every key + shift, and there's different shortcuts for inside the piano roll, playlist, mixer, channel rack, browser, etc, and its all on one page of the manual if yo click F1
I scrolled down to see if anyone else noticed that! Ctrl+V pastes, but i hardly use it cause it never pastes things where I want it to. Is that just me?
@@imsonoided it's easier to select and shift+drag notes in the piano roll imo. but copy and paste is very useful if you first select the little green box to the right of the channel name in the channel rack. then you can copy and paste whole melodies between channels without even opening the piano roll.
2:49 F12 does something, it is a smart way of saving CPU, if you realised, you should be closing/minimizing the playlist, and you should probably see ALL your plugins you didn't close in the background. Pressing F12 closes them all, therefore, you should have a better performance when your producing. Especially, Serum, Xfer Serum is a powerful synthesized and having a lot can spoil the CPU.

Ctrl + V is to paste, Ctrl + B is duplicate. Duplication will snap to the end of the last note, so if you wanna duplicate a specific region, you have to select it and then duplicate.
Great Tutorial and information. I am completely new to FL 20 and I have a question you might be able to help me. I use congas, timbales and bongos/CB. I have created individual wave files to each one of those sounds. Can I import the wave file into FL20 and use it to create a Latin Drum Track?
I sometimes spend a fair amount of time in the piano roll, using the various tools like slice, brush, pencil, etc. Recently, I discovered - entirely by accident - that you can middle-click + right-click in the piano roll (as well as the playlist window) and it will bring up the menu where you can select which tool you're using. :O
Collect all your samples into your project folder. Can’t remember the shortcut on FL, maybe even create a zip of the project in the directory you’ve saved your project into
Bro... I have changed laptop 4 times.. the only time I had a problem opening a project was in the last one.. was that was because it only have the drive C:... is like this. Every time you install it in a new PC what you need to worry is that all your stuff are in the exact same place in the new PC, because the project is gonna load from those locations as it’s code written or something that it was saved in those locations.. make sure you transfer everything from “recorded” “rendered” “and other folders.. other exemple is.. I have presets from a vst loading from Documents/Native instruments/“the vst folder”/presets and from the same vst loading from Steinberg/VSTplugins/“the vst folder (the one with the dll.)” and presets.. And had to save the same presents in the same locations. Same with kits loops and etc.. Amazing video, keep up bro

You missed F12. It closes all the active plugins. So if you have multiple plugins and windows open, hit f12 and bam, you need not to close them individually.
For the record , CTRL - V = paste.... CTRL - B = Duplicate ...just tryn to help.. nothin but Respect and thankx for your info vidz my man.. Happy Holidaze to you and yours
F12 does something, say if you open a project and found all plugins and effects open as mess on screen, you can press F12 to close them all once instead of closing one by one.
Thanks for that, never knew there was this sample history in the sampler, I accidently lost a sample so many time, that would surely be really usefull in the future :) Also, for all your render (and audio recording), instead of using the default FL folder (or any folder you choose), you can instead set your project to have its own folder. Like that you have everything for this or that project located at the same place and so no rish to have a wrong render loading if you move everything. It's in the option menu/project general setting and you change the data folder. It will ask you if you want to save the project in that folder too. So instead of having a folder with all your project and your sample in another project, you can have a folder for each project. It's almost like using the save as rar function for exporting a project :)
The FX slots on the mixer work going from 1 through to 10 and is processed in that order. So say if you have an EQ in slot 1 and reverb in slot 2 the processed sound from the EQ will affect the reverb. But if you had reverb in slot 1 and EQ in slot 2 the reverb will be applied before the EQ. A tip from me is to add the EQ after the effects so that things such as distortion and compression won't add any frequencies that have been cut.
Actually F12 closes all the windows sparing some CPU, when you have too much tools opened. 13:23 was the first thing I did when I got FL 5 many years ago and didn't know how to use it.
