    I really miss the Create channel on PBS. Now every time I see Ming on a food documentary, I start jumping for joy!

    Was just thinking today how much idiotic stuff there is on tv. PBS create is an exception. Thanks ming, found a 3 pounder yesterday!

    what kind of oil?

    • @amendfuse4276
      @amendfuse4276 6 лет назад

      surfer987dog Ming typically uses Canola for high heat (and it doesn’t impart a flavor of its own), but you can also add a little butter to the oil for extra flavor if you want.

    how do you clean your maitake? do you use water, doesn't it act like a sponge if you do?

      actually never clean mushroom with water. use kitchen brush and knife :) and cook forst with high hot temp for few min then slow cook like 5 to 10 minutes :)

      Unlike other mushrooms, I've never seen a dirty maitake.

      @@iPat6G if you pull it out of the ground there will be dirt on the bottom 😅

      @@suckmygooglies99 hen of the woods doesn't usually grow so close to the ground, plus with modern mushroom cultivation, this likely won't be an issue anyway.
