You can see Garmin is a navigation company. For routing, running and cycling i would choose the Garmins over this current gen of T-rex. Hope Amazfit will be closer in the next gen.

not surprising the amazfit maps are quicker to draw considering how small the map size is - don't forget the garmin has a whole region not just a section; it also has built in terrain feature giving 3d view and way more poi, all this is going to slow it down compared to others less detailed features.

One big difference of course when it comes to "mapping" is the fact that the Garmin will create a route for you directly on device. With the Amazfit you'd have to do that on your phone (with Komoot possibly) and transfer it. Not sure if that can be done without stopping an activity and starting a new one ?

Really wish it was a circular watch design like the ultra was.
Close to an option for me

Hi, nice video. Do you know if the amazfit has something similar to Climb pro functionality?

Can you do a full comparison between the Epix pro 2 and Trex 3? I really like the flashlight on the garmin, but I don't think it's worth more than twice the money...Also can you compare GarminConnect Data vs. Zepp, especially for some measurements like pace pro and Hill score etc?

Do not throw away your money & time by investing any brand other than Garmin, especially Chinese ones. The best Chinese is Huawei in terms of tracking accuracy but even it lacks much. I've used several watches since 2017.
      - If you need the best smart watch, then go for an Apple Watch or a Samsung. But remember that you'll charge them up every other day !
      - If you want to seriously track your health, your workouts and if you need the best mapping experience independently of your phone, then go for a Garmin.
Even Fitbit, Mobvoi and the others can not compete with it. If you hate Garmin then go for a Suunto or a Polar or a Coros. The others are just a waste of time and money.
I have been currently using an Epix Pro and i've forgotten when i charged it the last time.

Most people who I know who switched from Garmin to other brands, usually come back after a few months. It's simple, there is no second best.

wonder how much detailed are the amazfit maps and also can you use OSM maps that are incredibly detailed and available for free. This one thing is Garmin's best thing... there are no other watch with such a great maps like garmin - Unfortunatelly.

Usually, yes, but it isn't always linear. I took my T-Rex 3 and my Enduro 3 off the charger at 100% last night before bed. I've had one on each wrist ever since then. They both tracked me through the same workout, both on similar settings as much as possible, both going through the same nonsense with me today. Right now my Enduro 3 is on 96%, my T-Rex 3 is on 97%. Very limited testing to be sure, but those are pretty interesting numbers I feel.
