I have been with my partner for 21 years and I really LOVE him and really LIKE him too. However the love we have for each other now is much deeper than it was before. What we have is real contentment as opposed to that all consuming “in love” which is not sustainable for the long term.... I believe that is why loads of people leave relationships after that so called “in love” (I.e. lust), part is over. They are honestly chasing rainbows. If you find a person that you “LOVE” and also really respect and LIKE, then you are lucky.
