Sami's actor is so damn good.
Sami needed to tell him this and Ste is finally seeing what's happening to him but there's definitely a big twist coming.
Still dont feel sorry for him and it would be disappointing for everyone to forgive him just like that. Ste had plenty of chances to see their true colours and the fact is HE DID. HE knew they were racist but like all extremist he didnt care to admit because he believed he was doing the right thing. I get tiered of people using the he was "groomed" excuse to feel sorry for him. Nobody is born a racist. Every single racist or extremist was groomed at some point. Ste is no different and he is not innocent at all! He is a bigot wether he cares to admit it or not.
I agree everyone who's is a racist has been groomed become one they're talk to hate people of different race's or religion's in that's Ste is no innocent he was angry this far right extremist group saw Ste was vulnerable and they target him grooming Ste was blinded by his anger and grief that he didn't see for what they really were a despicable hate group using him to be come there pawn
As a Muslim I'm glad for this story...theres good and bad people in every faith don't get blinded in a world where hate is so easy!
Everything about this scene was on point! So much respect to everyone at Hollyoaks for taking on this storyline! It breaks me that there are people out there who may share Ste's views and I really hope this storyline has opened people's eyes #LoveMusicHateRacism
tbh this wasnt even really about racism since it wasnt about race but religion. They were islamphobic and i am glad they brought this topic to light because i have never seen a soap do that. They did well.But yeah Stes character is still ruined for me. However i am glad they chose Ste for this storyline and not anyone else because if they had picked someone less popular the viewers wouldnt really have been that interested in the storyline. This way it was a bit more interesting and unpredictable since everyone wanted to see what would happen to Stes character

I feel a back story for Jonny was needed. His views and actions were so completely off the scale that I would have liked to know the reason for it. Kudos to Ray Quinn. A fabulous performance. This guarantees a clean sweep at next soap awards.

Powerful scene between Sami and Ste. I love it. There’s something I would like to say though, about extreme views that Sami said. As someone who believes in God, what others view as extreme are not to the believers. Example, In Islam or Catholicism(maybe in some other religions too), homosexuality, just like adultery, is forbidden and sinful. We cannot engage in or support such acts. And many of us are silent about gay rights too because we don’t want to get involved in such matter. Most of us don’t press our beliefs onto others either. To us, it’s not a extreme view but what we believe in. But that is us. And just like gays, people of faith want to live happily with other people too and all we ask for is understanding and respect. Extreme views are when violence towards innocent people are committed. Just like what the right wing people are doing. I don’t mean to insult or offend in any way to anyone but if I do, I am sorry.
Ste is so lucky he had so many people that loved him and fought for him.

Great scene, have not seen it all but I hope Sami said it’s the same that happens on both the far right and religious fronts, both extreme groups groom, and both normal kids and normal muslin kids get caught and taught hatred which neither should feel. I can’t bare to think about the young Muslim kids groomed to go to Syria and other places and can’t come back, they didn’t know someone was using their religion or there pride against them. Any person dragged into far right or religious fanaticism is a lost soul and I hope all their families, whatever faith or non faith and help them come back to the love their lives or religion can bring if taught understanding.

As a Muslim I can confirm that Islam doesn't have hatred towards LGBT.
Many Muslims don’t but I have personally met several who do hold homophobic beliefs and use the religion as an excuse for them, I’m sorry but religious people just aren’t entitled to discriminate against and criticise others for something that they have absolutely no control over when you can choose your religion and when the teachings are outdated by about 3000 years, same applies to any other religion that condemns homosexuality. We can’t just ignore the fact that there are several countries where Islam is the state religion that still refuse to abolish the death penalty for homosexuality and again use the teachings of Islam as justification for it.

You know ste actually has some points about islam and homophobia. They did protest outside of schools and these people were not even radicals.
And how is that bad if you think that them protesting outside school is bad then we should look at the fact that tell little children about lgbtyq and stuff is not bad wait for 20 30 years to see the outcome.
We send children to some for education nothing else.
I'd you want to teach them about lgbtyq stuff then first teach them about race and gender which I mean and equal pay and rights for both men and women. There are other things to teach them first then about lgbtyq thing.
