I'm running 6" F/3.8 Newt on my EQM35. Recently I managed 16 x 900s subs on Crescent Nebula, loosing a single frame to wind gusts. My usual RMS with this newt is .8, often .5-.6 during ok seeing on windless nights, on best nights it did happened few times to track at .35 for a sub or five :-) I did re-grease it 2 times, cancelled backlash of worm gears and gear boxes on motors, as well as corrected tension on both axes. I don't shy from a small bit of DIY but I am rewarded by improvements in the performance of this cheap, little gem. After owning EQM35 for little over 1 year I am happy to say it was a good decision and if I was in a similar position now as I was a year ago, but with benefit of hindsight i would not hesitate to buy it again. It works for me so well that after carefull considerstion of my specific use case I've cancelled my AM5 preorder and for my next upgrade I'll be going for battle tested (AZ/)EQ 6 R Pro as it offers great stability of heavier OTA setups even against lighter wind gusts. But my EQM35 will stay with me for travel and as second backgarden setup.

@PafMedic yes I totally understand. It's working for my intents and purposes at the moment. It sounds strong. I only use my phone attached. I finally got to peep the moon with it. Skymax 180 is a super scope for that... can't wait to get pointed at Saturn and Jupiter.
Grease is rather glue. I have EQM-35 Pro and also found that the donut shape disc below the polarscope is held by 1 grub screw only instead of 3! Hey Skywatcher, what factory quality check you have? This is nonsense!
Can you do a show about ‘What not to do with your mount or telescope’. I find there’s a lot of misinformation out there especially on FB and it’s doing no favours to the hobby.

Why not hardened steel gears?
Is the HEQ5 pier extension compatible for the EQM-35 Pro? If not which ones will work? Having a hard time finding what works.
There's no pier extension for the EQM-35 Pro unfortunately
@@SkyWatcherUSA Would the AZ-EQ5 extension work? Or the one for the HEQ5? I heard HEQ5 and EQM-35 has the same tripod mounting
Will the EQM35 take the weight of the Evostar 120/1000 for visual use only?
I'm about to throw a 180mm mak on one that's coming soon... let ya know 😅
Has a payload max of 22lbs I'm gonna use 21.5. 😂 we're gonna test er 😊

I have a Wo 71mm GT with a DSLR. Would I be better off with this EQM35 or the new GTI mount.
From a payload standpoint, probably the EQM-35. You could squeak by with the GTi but you might be pushing it.
@@SkyWatcherUSA I'm using a 72mm F6 with QHY163 and guiding on SA, pre-order the SA GTI to see how much does it improve
Hi! Any news about SA Gti delivery estimations ? Thanks a lot !
July and the Fall, but those will barely cover the preorders. Check with your local/favorite dealer for more info.

The problem might be with the distributor as well
Dude I can go on-line and read! Geez

Whew. Tough to listen to with the "aahhhmm" at the end of each sentence. Apologize for the petty comment.
