Diamond shopping can be stressful so I wanted to create this video to show my viewers carat size comparisons on a real hand so they get a better idea of what to expect. This should be able to help gide and manage your expectations. Diamond cut is very important so keep in mind I will have tips for you to get the right table and depth percentages to ensure you get the best diamond cut.

I personally never go below IF clarity and always Excellent cut, and play around color and carat based on purpose. If you are going to set diamond in real gold (yellow), then you can comfortably go down in "color" up to K, and spend the same amount in increasing the Carat, Cut and Clarity, which are much more important parameters in bring the "fire" in them. Most salesmen confuse you color with clarity and make you go to colors D, E, F, which is surely not valuable for the price difference they have, especially if you're going for gold jewelry. Most Indians dislike any other metal other than real gold, so I do not have experience buying any other non-yellow metals like platinum, white gold, etc.
Thats a good mindset. Though I will argue VS1 is ideal as that clarity grade will never impact the visual of the diamond.

With Emerald you want a vs2 or vs1 minimum and you need a higher color as it shows color easily.
Does the company have warranty on the rings? Let’s say the diamond gets damaged or lost? I was looking to buy from Kay but after seeing a lot of people referring to that website and looking at the prices I might go with the website.
Hi Jose, yes they have a warranty on rings. But not if lost or damaged. You need insurance for those types of claims. They warranty their rings from stones popping out due to the craftsmanship, not due to ring falling down and getting damaged.

I will say this, at every .50 weight, the price jumps. ex .50-.99. 1.00-1.49. 1.50 - 1.99. That answer depends on what your comfortable with.

Hi Jeff, Thanks for supporting the channel. Its very hard for me to give you a great answer over the internet. I am assuming it came with no certificate. I would advise you to contact GIA and get it certified if you are planning on selling. If its truly a large beautiful diamond, that certificate is the only way to sell for top dollar.

What finger size is the model? Also say you add a halo to a 1 carat, what size would that make it look equivalent to?
Hello, if I am correct size 8- possible 7 1/2. I have a video on the engagement ring guide and hold smaller diamonds with a halo next to a larger one. It certainly helps give a larger apperance.
@@OsirisDiamonds I got a .77 from James Allen my ring size is 6-, I haven’t got it yet but I keep worrying that the diamond will be small. Would mine possibly look a little bigger than the .75 that the model is wearing? I had no idea I could chose a lab diamond, I got an earth diamond so I had to chose a smaller diamond because of price. I’m pretty upset about that I could of got a bigger diamond with a lab.

No problem! I say color vs clarity. The rule of clarity is , as long as its eye clean you have a green light. Most SI1's should work.
