Hi Meredith - I hope you are well. I haven’t seen a post from you in quite a while. I’m not entirely sure what first brought me to your site a while back. I’ve enjoyed watching you and your darling children and the inspiration I found from your dedication to running and dietary changes as part of your helping your body while dealing with cancer. I wanted to share with you how much I’ve enjoyed your sourdough recipe/routine. I was a professional baker years ago, but we never made sourdough bread. I had tried different methods over the years, but alas it just wasn’t what I was looking for. Your recipe is fantastic!… I make a couple of loaves every month or so. I have to add an extra day to recharge my starter, but it is well worth it. I tried adding Kalamata olives to a loaf recently and it was divine!… Thanks again for sharing this, and I do hope you remain well! best - bonnie
Just to clarify, I had early stage breast cancer last year and I’m roughly your age. I’ve been following you for about a year, and I’m a member of quite a few FB groups that talk about how to fight cancer. The info I just sent you made me think of you. It’s hard to know what’s true out there and what’s not, but I wanted to send it to you with the hope that maybe this could be it? I feel like you take such good care of yourself and feed yourself so well and get a lot of exercise and I feel like this is why you are doing so well. Maybe you just need the extra push to put you into permanent remission? I am praying for you and your family. Continue taking good care of yourself :-) xx
Thank you so much for this video! I've been thinking about trying to do this but had no idea what the process was. You have showed me it is do-able! The bread looks delicious!!!
Definitely do-able, and brings me so much joy! I went into it just to see if I could do it, and now I have come to love the whole process so much! I say give it a go!
Thank you so much for this! I have been at the point of confusion from reading/watching so many ways of making sourdough bread. This was just a straight forward video that helped to eliminate my confusion and fear. I’m sure I won’t always get it right, but that’s okay!! ❤️
There are definitely times where I mess up, and I bake the bread anyway. And you know what? It turns out tasting just fine! You don’t have to make the “perfect loaf” for it to be tasty! 🩷
I keep my starter in the microwave with a mason jar of heated water and this can help keep things warm. Same with for bulk fermenting 😊. I’ve also autolysed the flour and water first before adding the starter and salt. So many ways to do things. Another tip I’ve learned is to separate the dough before bulk fermenting. Thanks for the video! ❤

@@Meredith_Feiraand you can make tasty flatbreads etc if the loaf turns out too flat! The taste is always wonderful 😊
sourdough bread is healthy bread!!
I would love to make sourdough bread with healthy buckwheat flour and Celtic salt that’s full of minerals. Great video and very helpful.
Sounds amazing! 🩷
Looks good :D
