Miss Nellie Marks Nakamarra your painting is wonderful. No one can capture your beautiful smile, you just flash it..... and creation glows a little brighter.
Empreintes d'humanité, des traces, de leurs histoire de leurs vécus, magnifique vraies, plein d'humilité sans calcul comme un livre à déchiffrer pour les initiés, 'art aborigène sans faux semblant j' adoré cette art
I was in Alice Springs recently (from Ireland). I absolutely love the Aboriginal Artwork and am now able to watch and listen this amazing art in action, I am very inspired and I'm going to have a go myself of my story......Thank you so much :)
So stunningly beautiful! She is so patient, and practiced in sitting in the position her art requires! I too want to paint in this style, and she inspires me! I have always been fascinated with Australia, and have read or watched anything I can get my hands on! Would love to see (and hear) more from Nellie, and other aboriginal artists!
Beautiful - artist and her art piece. Thank you for sharing, it was my first introduction to this art style - I'm inspired to do one - think I will begin with a small 5 X 5 canvas - ☮

We bought some art when in Sydney in 2012. Our painting by Nellie looks almost EXACTLY like the one in the video. I had to stare at ours on the wall for a few minutes to ensure it wasn't the same print. :-)
Many people don't talk while they paint, some comments said why isn't she talking, she is probably connected with a spiritual guide, from somewhere,I can tell she is connected.
Wow well so much for me thinking I was original I use a similar pattern in my art and here is some one on the other side I don't know doing something very much like my art I guess true creativity comes from the same source.
The Art of the Aborigine links me to the Cosmos, but I do wish we could hear the artists speaking as they are working, explaining the symbolism which is as important as the art. Too many of these uploads makes the artists look like they are performing for the camera. .
Do you usually talk about your painting while you paint? That's not how this art works. The painting is preserving the story and the culture, not advertising it for you to obtain cultural information. The meaning behind it may be private and not for discussion for the WHOLE INTERNET.
Jessica Rogers Lots of artists who post on the internet do talk about their work and their process. Most artists like to talk about their work, there’s nothing unusual about that. If the meaning is private, as you suggest, that need not be discussed, though many artists would say that one of the reasons they paint is to convey something of what they’re feeling or thinking. You make it sound like a crime to be interested in another culture, but if we don’t enquire about other cultures, how can we hope to understand them? If something is not for discussion for the whole internet, then why post it on the internet?
Richard Pymont this lady probably speaks her native language no one would understand her so she talks through her picture.....this is how they tell their stories
Dot painting was introduced to Aboriginals in Australia by an Australian school teacher and artist in the 1970s. He was not Aboriginal. It was subsequently adopted by the Aboriginal people.
Dot art, not much skill required, it was introduced to aboriginals in the70,s to help them make a living selling this stuff to tourists. Seen 5 year olds do a better job of it, same skill level
Wow! The patience and exactness in creating this work of art is unbelievable!

@@perledouce1358 Sadly No..... but I can look and admire, and let my mind wander. It pleases me, quiets my mind.

Beautiful! ❤️😮
Paintings, drawings, colorings, sketchings, sculpturings, and potteries all need to be preserved and held in place yeah

This art style has been passed down for thousands of years, long before even Jesus was even born :-)

There plenty books available on Aus. Aboriginal art and symbolism
Is that a brush or just a stick she is using to paint the dots?
It appears to be a bamboo skewer
My class watched this
What is the canvas made of?
Canvas.
They probably don’t pay her enough for the art she creates for them.

Comb is the word

Wow! Ur very smart! 😃🤓 but for some reason... the dots r making my eyes like bleed
I heard it was a French man that invented this style..........
Can aboriginals be white because I’m basically aboriginal because of my blood my parents say
Why not be what you are? Are you the original people of Australia?
Sure. Aboriginals claim it all the time for the extra benefits and rights the claim of Aboriginality confers.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
