Hey Jeremy, I wanted to get your take on something. Our first (resale) timeshare was with HGVC in Orlando, a week at Tuscany Village. We're thinking of getting one in Vegas with 60% more points, $150 less in MF per year, and reduce exposure to FL infrastructure and insurance maintenance. We'll likely only use half the extra points for stays, half for room upgrades. We'd save $350 per month buying a similar # of points that we have now. This would keep us at 1 trip per year, using over a year's worth in Hawaii EOY, where we would like to do a weeknight vacation at Elara in Las Vegas every year. Would you stay, jump, or go big?

I know a lot of Hilton owners recommend buying in Las Vegas due to the lower maintenance fees. We don't own HGVC, so I can't offer a whole lot of perspective outside of that.

We have a stay in 2024 at the Aruba Surf club for a week. What is your recommendation on needing a rental car? Is it necessary or can you get by without a rental car?

Unless you want to explore the island a car isn't necessary. There are several dining options on side as well as next door at the Ocean Club and Marriott hotel as well as plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance in the Palm Beach area. That said, if you want to get out and check out other beaches and attractions around the island, then a car is a must. We have rented a car every time we go to Aruba. Thanks for watching!

+ Probably the best pool options of all the resorts in Aruba.
- This is nit picky- but we hate the oversized bathtub in the primary bedroom, complete waste of space. The shower is tiny and this giant tub is never used besides storing luggage (which there is little room for as well).

I agree about the big bathtubs in the master bedroom. Not only at this resort. I am sure someone somewhere sometime uses them, We never do. Thanks for watching!

We (entire family and friend of the kids) just returned from Surf Club. Weather was great, had a good time. The check in process was a bit over whelming at first but by the end of the first day we had everything nailed down. Some consider the place too big but in the end, the size of it was actually a benefit especially if you wanted to stay in one pool and not deal with the other pool where after 12:00 PM everyday was the louder music, volleyball, pool bingo (a huge favorite of all guests), etc.
The lazy river from 5:45- 6:30 pm was the place to be as most guests were done for the day and getting ready for their evening. We preferred to extend each pool/ beach day before having dinner much later.
Overall a very good experience.
