Rewatching Buffy for my first time since the late 90's, early 2000's. It's way ahead of its time. Used to watch Buffy all the time growing up ON YTV Canada. It's been at least 20 years since I last watched it & I'm glad I'm not disappointed watching it today. It holds up so well!
They don't make tv shows like this no more, I was 12 when Buffy started I watched it from first ep to the last, I was 19 when it finished I very mush grew up with buffy just the greatest show ever!!
20 years from the show first aired and I still consider this one of the best them theme songs. I first started watching when I was 7 or 8 it shaped my childhood.
I remember watching Buffy as a 12 year old in 1996 for the first time ...and the theme music came on .. and the black cat jumped over something and Sarah Michelle turned around and her eyes was so beautiful I immediately fell in love with her ..I still love her
One of the best theme songs ever made, and one of the best shows, literally binging it (for the billioth time since I was a wee tiny kid) right now and am on Season 7, so sad that it is nearly over, but that just gives me an excuse to watch it again. They don't make shows like this anymore, we sure do have some great shows nowadays, but, Buffy was Buffy. Plus, Spike. Nothing beats Spike and Giles, fantastic actors and singers.
I have seen Buffy mentioned and of course I immediately had to come and listen to this, and now naturally I need to watch the whole show again. Goosebumps!!!!
My hubby bought me all the Buffy series for my b day , but what i love the most is that my two year old loves the theme song and she hums and dances to it 😎😍🤘
How I love this show! I recently saw him for the first time... And I fell madly in love with him... Forever in my heart! Angel and Buffy are the best couple on the show. And Drusilla and Spike are the best!!
im 36 now just rewatching the series now. tbis was my childhood its been 15+ years sinxe i heard the the past 3 days i cant get this song out of my head its just been on repeat
Joshua Thomas True, its been a while since i watched BtvS but i seem to remember S1-2 having a wolf howling at the very beginning? Did they remove that too?
It's sad that all the good and fun things happened in the 80'90' and early 2,000, things like tv series, music (rock, disco, eurodance, trance, etc) clothing, candy, etc. And they still can't reproduce what we enjoyed or liked to this day even with all the technology and new things in general we have nowadays. I'd love to go back in time and live those 2 and a half decades over and over for a milenium at least and then die.
I was supernaturally fortunate to meet Alyson Hannigan this weekend so this song has extra special joy even more than the passion it always brings out of me.
Totally met Nicholas Brendon (Xander) on Saturday, talked for a while. I had to tell him one tidbit of his childhood influence on me & my sister (our only true bonding moment) Every time Buffy aired.... forever, my sister & I knew the start time & there we were, in front of the TV (or scrambling to it as soon as we heard the wolf howl) waiting for the first guitar scream then we would headbang until the theme song was over & watch the episode. It was our ritual. How does he respond? He puts his arm around me & begins his own humming of the theme (which I join in) and side by side we belt the guitar riff and headbang. It was BEAUTIFUL!
Ahh the 90's. I used to get home from school everyday and watch Ready Steady Cook, The Weakest Link, The Simpsons and Buffy. Back when the BBC used to play shows worth watching
I started watching buffy when I was 3 around the time season 4 ended and I watched seasons 1-3 on video. And I continued to watch seasons 5-7 live until the show ended in 2003 in a epic hellmouth battle. The show still means everything to me and I'm 17 about to graduate. After the show ended I watched bufy reruns on fx until 2007. I started watching the show every year starting in 2013 after I realized it had been 10 years since the show ended. I love watching faith and buffy fight just as much as I did when I was young and the funny thing about all of this is that we can enjoy this art even in our middle age years that's the only good thing about buffy ending really. It will be around forever. I miss buffy and I will always cherish the time I had with it during its original run
The BBC has never been the same without this show. Especially the idents before the show started. I remember tuning into the very first episode. At first I mind thinking. It's gonna be some girly show with a few vamps running round and being camp, give it a few minutes and see what happens. Needless to say when the theme kicked in it was a game changer and couldn't wait for another episode and made sure to amp the TV to 11 when it came on. All I can say is thank God for only 4 channels and not a lot on at the time.
This is merely a vote reply to the comments saying which you prefer out of the series and opening songs Charmed or Buffy I LOVE THEM BOTH oh and leave a like if you think twilight sucks compared to this and charmed
I'm thirteen and whilst most of my peers think I'm insane I LOVE THIS SHOW. There is nothing that can beat it, and nothing that feels better than that adrenaline rush when this comes on. I'm grinning like an idiot right now listening to it.
I've been re-watching Buffy and it's bringing back old memories, I still get exited about this song lol ofc I got to watch it till then end of the episode to hear Grr Argh!! 😂

i have been watching this show for 14 years and im still not over the epic finale. I started watching buffy when i was 3 and i remember that very much because while other kids watched barney i spent my day waiting on a new buffy. I started watching during mid season 4 and after it ended i was lucky. My aunt recorded episodes of buffy seasons 1-3. What are the odds right lol? So i went back and watched seasons 1-3 & the little bit of season 4 i had missed and i was the happiest little boy ever! lol but yeah after that i continued to watch live season 5-7 and i remember on the day of the series finale i was really excited to see how it would all end. And as for the series finale i knew why buffy was smiling at the end because her and faith were no longer in the battle against demons alone but now that im older i realize that the activation of all the potentials now allows buffy what she always wanted which is peace and somewhat of a care free life since she is not the only chosen any more. Next year i graduate high school and this show still to this day means everything to me. I miss buffy and this will always be my favorite show
I grew up playing the 2002 xbox game with no idea there was a show. 5 years ago I watched 3 seasons and just forgot about it. 3 weeks ago I decided to watch the show in it's entirety and I finished on new years day and I'm so fucking happy I did. I even emulated the original xbox game on my pc for nostalgia 💞
that theme song is forever good, every year i listen this

Best Vampire show ever.
Watch Castlevania on Netflix. Awesome
Buffy was better than true blood and that was on HBO..with nudity and sex and still Buffy was the best
From a 20 year old. I started watching the show just before Halloween last year. And I've been hooked ever since.
Xena and Buffy ruled the 90s as the kickass girl baddies
The Buffy theme in 7 years. AWESOME!
I wasn't born when this show started and ended but I found it on Disney plus and I'm literally obessedddd with it and this theme song 😭😭😭
I will be the first 1 to say that all us 90's kids had better tv show movies and everything then today :) really miss those days :) 💯❤️🤘✊🙏🔥🎵🎶😎
This song brings back a lot of memories
This series is 25 years old today, 10 March 2022.
Growing up as a kid watching Buffy and Angel when this came on hearing the theme song brings so many memories
20 years from the show first aired and I still consider this one of the best them theme songs. I first started watching when I was 7 or 8 it shaped my childhood.
I can't believe my age. Long live this show and this theme tune
This show needs a reunion.
The Buffy theme song is epic!
I remember watching Buffy as a 12 year old in 1996 for the first time ...and the theme music came on .. and the black cat jumped over something and Sarah Michelle turned around and her eyes was so beautiful I immediately fell in love with her ..I still love her

I always add the screech that they took out of this song in Season 3. I am binge watching the series again. I never skip this song. Never!
its time for my yearly rewatch of all the tv shows that will forever be in my heart.
Buffy
Charmed
Sabrina
(reboots shouldn't exist)
2022 and this theme still slaps.
2023 now. Still slaps. ^_^
2023. Still a killer song.
It’s my workout song
Thank you mum for getting me into this 🧛♀️🧛♂️
Bro the hole this show left in me when it ended has not been filled.... My childhood
I am 12 years old and wathing Buffy in 2020
too young, there are scenes you shouldn't watch.
This is the definition of nostalgia.
My Favorite Show Off All Time Buffy The Vimpire Slayer Forever I Still Watch It He'll Yea Forever
E4 is streaming the entire seven series. Still one of the best supernatural shows ever on TV.
My hubby bought me all the Buffy series for my b day , but what i love the most is that my two year old loves the theme song and she hums and dances to it 😎😍🤘
That's so cool! This kid will be cool when she grows
How I love this show! I recently saw him for the first time... And I fell madly in love with him... Forever in my heart! Angel and Buffy are the best couple on the show. And Drusilla and Spike are the best!!
One of my most favorite TV shows of all time
im 36 now just rewatching the series now. tbis was my childhood its been 15+ years sinxe i heard the the past 3 days i cant get this song out of my head its just been on repeat
Am I the only one who misses the opening screech from season 1 and 2's version of the theme.
+Joshua Thomas Wasnt that added in because they messed up the original recording?
I like both.
Evo Villon Still, once you hear it for 2 whole seasons of episodes, you get used to it, then they fleet rid of it, when it sounded fine.
Joshua Thomas True, its been a while since i watched BtvS but i seem to remember S1-2 having a wolf howling at the very beginning? Did they remove that too?
Sorry but you mean that one when during the theme we can see the woman and her scream?
Yessss Willows witch screech is ICONIC they should have left it in for all seasons.
So much nostalgia for this show and the Angel spin off. I still watch both from time to time.
This is everything I need in life tbh
It's sad that all the good and fun things happened in the 80'90' and early 2,000, things like tv series, music (rock, disco, eurodance, trance, etc) clothing, candy, etc. And they still can't reproduce what we enjoyed or liked to this day even with all the technology and new things in general we have nowadays. Seems we almost all feel that way
I was supernaturally fortunate to meet Alyson Hannigan this weekend so this song has extra special joy even more than the passion it always brings out of me.
How did you meet her?
A convention?
I LOVE THIS TV SHOW 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🧡💚💜💛💛🙂💛💙💙🧡💚💛
31/3/2020....still watching the show
I never feel alone when I hear this song. Love it and the whole series over and over again xx
Totally met Nicholas Brendon (Xander) on Saturday, talked for a while. I had to tell him one tidbit of his childhood influence on me & my sister (our only true bonding moment)
Every time Buffy aired.... forever, my sister & I knew the start time & there we were, in front of the TV (or scrambling to it as soon as we heard the wolf howl) waiting for the first guitar scream then we would headbang until the theme song was over & watch the episode. It was our ritual.
How does he respond? He puts his arm around me & begins his own humming of the theme (which I join in) and side by side we belt the guitar riff and headbang. It was BEAUTIFUL!
Sure🙄
Just started watching this show, and I can already definitely picture Buffy playing this on guitar with Xander on bass and Willow as the drummer.
He'd be a useless bass player😁🐂💨💨💨💨
@@zorbanongreco willow would make a spell that gave him bass powers XD
@@frankmorris4176 oh yeh, you're right. He'd be the best.
....well ok at least.
x33333
I have so many old recordings of Buffy...
I love the episode where Spike first falls in love with Buffy. It's great.
the song he sing "rest in peace" that was beautiful.
Well done, my age is 34 and I was watching it on MBC 2. I love this movie😍💪
Probably 20 years since I've heard this. Crazy how time flies.
The nostalgia of when this was on YTV and I’d stay up to watch it even though I was scared of the vampires
One of my fav shows of all tome with a killer song. Love it!!!!!!!! Music for my soul
Was watching Buffy on Netflix out of boredom and I remembered how badass this song is. Makes me feel inspired, *inspired to kick ass and be awesome *.
Ahh the 90's. I used to get home from school everyday and watch Ready Steady Cook, The Weakest Link, The Simpsons and Buffy. Back when the BBC used to play shows worth watching
This song is one of my favorite tv theme songs next to the Firefly theme song
Gorramit you just had to bring up Firefly
I LOVE Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Same!!!!!!
This shall be played at my funeral
I remember of this show, it was each saturday after midnight and it was fucking nice, each time i was hearing the opening i was gone in a headbang.
Nerf Herder, GREAT JOB ON YOUR EPIC SONG!

Remember when we would sit hours glued to the screen cause series had meaning.
Boy, I miss that show: Xander; Cordelia; Willow; and the whole Scooby gang.
Buffy left to join the real Scooby gang
+Brian Cleary i miss Darla en Drusilla
Yeah didnt you know? she also joined star wars
Cordelia left to join Angel in LA.
D. N. What you mean
The Offspring introduction to Buffy gives me chills still.
The long rift at the end of it absolute bliss @@!!
Back in my high school band, we played a song our bass player/singer wrote "Allyson Hannigan"
I'm 35 but I never actually saw the show until 2008. I binged the whole series. My #1 favorite show.
She is beauty
She is grace
But most of all she kicked those vampires in the FACE!
I’m in a R&R band and we play this for a warm up! It makes us happy! Cheers, Buffy
Rock it! This show was a big part of my life, at a point in time...
But if course it's still AWSOME!
Thank YOU so much!!!
Back on E4 last night ….. ah the memories ! Kick-ass theme song too
This is merely a vote reply to the comments saying which you prefer out of the series and opening songs Charmed or Buffy
I LOVE THEM BOTH oh and leave a like if you think twilight sucks compared to this and charmed
Ahh the memories.... The fondest memories 🥰
This takes me wayyyyy back.
*My life before and my life after I fell into this fictional universe are two completely different things.*
Yes indeed
So glad all 7 seasons are on Netflix
I just checked they're not on there.
Buffy the vampire slayer is one of my fav tv shows ever
If there was a level that I couldn't pass from any game, I would play this song and pass it
VAMPIRE ROCK
The 90s the BEST ❤
I think doing buffy now rather than then would be so much better, better graphics, better fight choreography, more gore and less cheese 😎
Anyone back for October 2019? This made me want to binge the entire series again 🎃
Such an AWESOME show. Can watch it over and over, and I LOVE the theme music
I'm thirteen and whilst most of my peers think I'm insane I LOVE THIS SHOW. There is nothing that can beat it, and nothing that feels better than that adrenaline rush when this comes on. I'm grinning like an idiot right now listening to it.

Mutant Enemy
Here 2024 enjoying the nostalgia.
ahh the first song i ever played guitar to... i'm writing a paper on this awesome show for university and i'm just so nostalgic right now
This theme is amazing. The only bad thing is when it ends .
I LOVE BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER SOOOO MUCH!!! SUCH AN AMAZING SHOW!!:D :)
I SOO miss waking up, having my morning coffee and turnin on reruns of Buffy!❤
I had forgotten how much I loved this. Thank you.
Wow, i never noticed that the left side of the B and the F looked like stakes.
Or fangs...
Kick ass theme song to a kick ass show
Can’t believe I’ve been binge watching this since October first takes me back ❤️🔥🔥🔥

I am on to season five it is so good so far
Darn i loved this series and its sequel the Angel. 90s had so many good stuff, comparing to today.
Iconic, if I ever get married I'll use this music to go down the aisle saying 'I'M GONNA SLAY YOU!'. My partner obviously will have watched Buffy.
I have all 7 seasons on Disc! I LOVE the show!!!!
Remember when TV didn’t suck so bad and the shows often featured heavy metal and punk rock as theme songs? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
I have only just started watching Buffy The Vampire Slayer and I think it's better then Twilight films
It’s also way better than Captain Marvel.
If someone made me choose between Bella (Twilight) or Elena (TVD), I’d always choose Buffy✋🏼 hands down
i have been watching this show for 14 years and im still not over the epic finale. +vaas montenegro Darla and Drusilla
I know this is an old post but it makes me wonder what you're doing now.
I have never even seen this show, I just came across this theme and it is amazing. Can't stop listening to it
I grew up playing the 2002 xbox game with no idea there was a show. 5 years ago I watched 3 seasons and just forgot about it. 3 weeks ago I decided to watch the show in it's entirety and I finished on new years day and I'm so fucking happy I did.
