Human life is not for oneself but for others as well. Otherwise it may produce no meaning.
there is no average. its just there. and good or bad are subjective dualistic tags that we should consider to use less and less. even a ‘not so ok’ tag is a possible transformation, maybe in disguise. You simply havent gotten there yet.
Your interpretation of A. Sunyo's description about above/below average is all about the same thing = the middle path. Isn't that so?
I think to have the title ‘venerable’ is quite egoic.

Because however ‘humble’ or ‘holy’ someone is the ego still likes the trinkets of titles. I have also noticed with Western Buddhists that they adopt impressive names which sound good (to say) and have some great meaning.
This is all ego.
@@pippipster6767 The names taken during ordination are given by the Preceptors not for impression but to instill inspiration by the meaning of the given name. And ego is the domain of worldly people, not for those who have left the home life for the noble path. Like the proverbial lotus being part of the world but not of the world. The truth is in the paradox.
@@pippipster6767 BTW when you address someone in an honorific manner, you achieve more than the addressee and it cost nothing but your EGO to be humble & respectful.
Jesus is God. Buddha was just a man. Jesus christ is superior to all beings.
There are more evidences of UFO's, extraterrestrial, supernatural & the paranormal than there is of a God. Whereas there is historical evidence of a great spiritual master who was able to formulate a code of ethics and religion that is universally valid for all regardless of culture, creed, race and gender or LBGTQI.
There are historical evidence that Buddha was a prince who forego worldly pleasures to found a religion based on virtue, compassion, wisdom & peace and that all living being is one, subject to the same conditions of impermanence to be transcended. Whereas, Jesus was made divine by the Nicene creed, inspired by faith & motivated by political & self interest.
The question is Does anyone see God yet? I can guarantee the answer is NO , just a belief!
@@tuyendo7409 There are more evidence of UFO's, extraterrestrial, supernormal & paranormal than there is of a creator God. Check out Aliens have already arrived-Dr. Garry Nolan, especially that section on religion.🤭
