- Starring David Bowie - Nicolas Roeg's acclaimed cult masterpiece. David Bowie makes his unforgettable feature film debut as a visitor from a dying planet who becomes a reclusive multi-millionaire, only to lose himself in an earthbound abyss of decadence, self-destruction and alienation. Candy Clark, Rip Torn and Buck Henry co-star in this enigmatic masterpiece directed by Nicolas Roeg (Don't Look Now, Performance) that remains an extraordinary combination of sci-fi epic and mind-blowing allegory, as well as one of the most provocative motion picture events of our time.

being attracted to david bowie in this film wasn’t something i had on my 2023 bingo card but here we are
My favourite film of all time. I've even visited the locations where scenes were shot in New Mexico. Why it's being remade is beyond me. Bowie IS Thomas Jerome Newton.
I'm watching the new show and I came here to see David Bowie verson. Didn't disappoint at all
god I miss him ... I miss god ... I miss him .... omg I loved this movie ... standing in line in Westwood when it came out I was 12 and I have seen it in theaters over 100 times and total 200 oh yes I love that man
I still don't understand why they couldn't let them keep his normal eyes, they already got that alien quality to them
This movie is so tragic.
Love Bowie of course - But I just love Candy Clark in this film - she plays naive innocent so well - her character perfectly imagnifies Bowie's character , such a memorable film
It's hilarious that Bowie stated that he had very little memory of production at all due to his cocaine use.
Are u Lithuanian? 😂😂😂
I miss Bowie. 'Bye, buddy.
david has to be one of the most gorgeous men to have ever lived.
I miss you David 🕊
I watched this movie recently and aside from admiring David Bowie's beauty, the script felt kind of weak to me, it had so much potential, I wish they fully focused on David Bowie's character like what's really happening in his mind, what is he feeling and his hometown, his family etc

Loved the furry train cars on his home planet.
an interesting parallel that happened to me not to long ago has to do with the particular song that's playing in the first scene that's shown in this video. Now and Then, i think it is, though i'm not certain who sings that exact version in the film.
One of me favourite movies of all time i love it.
Lizard eyes, burning like fire
First class thanks x
