I did not expect much from Chang Mai, given that it does not have the sea and it is not a large city. But oh my, this was such a lovely surprise. The vibe is just amazing, being there I was so relaxed and happy! Thanks for brining me back in time, I started missing this place so much! Hope you enjoy it
13:24 awww bless your Dad, lovely. "I do not know anything, I am tired!" 😂I can feel his pain. If only people know how tiring this RUclips job can be 😩 Always lovely to see a video with your Dad experiencing different things. xx

Hi Alina! Welcome back to Thailand! Enjoyable intro overview tour of Chiang Mai. In addition to culinary delights, Chiang Mai has a diverse assortment of attractions for everyone! Glad to see you and your dad touring together!
I would love to go to Thailand and I’ve always wanted to visit Chiang Mai. I’ve heard there’s a large expat population there. A little cooler weather as well. Thanks for taking us there! 🙂

Great video Alina and dad! Thailand looks so nice and the weather is so warm and bright, whereas here is so nasty and cold. Your dad will be certainly happy. Also the food must be fantastic. Thank you so much for sharing your journey to Thailand.
For many years Chiang Mai has been my favourite destination. I first visited Chiang Mai in 1979 when it was a city out of the classical era with only one four storey hotel, The Prince Hotel on Tai Wang Road...I used to visit it at least thrice a year for many years until the development of tall hotels and an increase in population made it a modern city losing its traditional charm. Enjoy it..
Hello Alina, Thank You for bringing the sun of Thailand to the gray weather in Germany. A very long time ago, I visited Chiang Mai and Thailand. It was my first try of programming a slide show with real slides. The result was not great because I learned which kind of shots I need to take the next time. I am glad to watch this video after already had dinner 😋 Best regards, Ralf
Chiang Mai is awesome. Been going down there regularly since 2010. Great for its CV plant based (big ups to good souls!) just did my first revisit since HK opened again after covid and it was the best! Enjoy!
I have been watching you Alina since 2019, I have enjoyed your good presentation standards and content visiting so many countries,it’s been a fun informal education, easy to watch with an attractive woman showing me the world with some knowledge and maturity, thanks Alina. Much love ✌️❤️🇬🇧(google recommended in 2019 for travel vlogs)
Kind of eerie to see and your Dad follow the Me and Mon Ami YT pair who were earlier this year in Chiangmai at the Wat Phra Doi Suthep Temple! They took the hard way with the 300+ steps to the top so you guys saved yourself the exertion by taking the cable car to the top. Beautiful place and the best thing about being in Thailand is the COVID restrictions are finally gone and you can enjoy the country as you should. The north is a different and less traveled part from the tourist trap south but its full of interesting things to explore. Thanks for the wonderful video and I’m looking forward to more of your Thai adventures in the future. 😊
Awesome video of Chiang Mai. I was there for 10 days but didn't know about the durian cafe. Actually I wanted to bring my Mavic Mini along for some aerial videos but due to lots of red tape I decided not to bring it along.
I'm happy to watch your video. And your father will be happy with you too. I am thankful that you like Thailand. All of us Thai people are always happy to welcome you. (I live in Bangkok, if there is anything I can help you, you're welcome.)❤🙏
Chiang Mai was the capital of the Lanna Kingdom for at least 700 years. Some time the city was independent, but most of the time the City was a vassal state of various Burmese dynasties even right through the reign of King Rama I. When the British began to subjugate Burma and eventually abolished the Burmese King, exiling him to British India during King Rama IV reign, Chiang Mai was independent again but within a few decades, Chiang Mai King saw that Siam was beginning to exert influence to the North, the King decided to submit and even sent his daughter to become King Rama V's concubine. When Chiang Mai king died, King Rama V decided not to appoint a new king but put Chiang Mai directly under Bangkok's rule, sending a governor to govern Chiang Mai since then. Chiang Mai has it all, old town with several important temples, Wat Prathat Doi Suthep on 13 km up hill within 20 km from the city center and at the foot of Doi Suthep, there is Chiang Mai University, one of the four regional public universities in Thailand. The others are Khon Kaen in the Northeast and Songkhla in the South. All four regional universities have all traditional faculties including Medicine and Engineering. There is an going project to propose Chiang Mai's old town as Unesco World Heritage within this decade.
Wow wow I remember you , you visited Thailand in the hard time of covid19, 14 days but good time to see the beaches, it similar private beaches for you just in that year, now pretty crowd of tourist
Nice view. I spent time in Chiang Mai long, long ago. It has become a huge city. It used to be fairly small feeling and quiet. I now have a house a few hours south in Phrae, a very small and quiet city. I have been enjoying your Japan vids and just checked your channel to see so many other places you visit.
Alina you are back to Thailand. Your Dad looks so happy. Hope both of you enjoy the slow living in chiang mai. Visit Doi Suthep that was very sacret place, there a bone ribs of Budha that carry by white elephant along long time ago.
The Dorian pizza looked ok. I've had a spicy Thai version of calimari. I hope this doesn't gross anybody out but it seems like Thailand would have spicy squid and shrimp pizza and I'd put some Sriracha sauce on mine, love that stuff! I think seafood is vegan, just not vegetarian. I love mango but that may be to overload there. The last soy dish looked good. 😎👍🇺🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦 Looking forward to seeing you guys go to Japan!😎👍
Welcome back to Thailand Alina. I had followed your vedio 2 years ago when you came to Phuket during the covid 19 epidemic, and also watched your other vedios of your journey to many different countries.
