Crayola was started in 1885. The company is 135 years old. I have know idea when their products came to Canada but as for the USA they have been around a very long time. Interesting that your pencils say Crayola presents I have never seen ones like that. Maybe they were produced for an anniversary. Who knows! But I love the history of your pencil box meaning how many generations of pencils you have! So cool!
Thanks Abigail. Yes I know Crayolas history but we didn't get the markers or pencil crayons until a long time after you. We've, of course, always had the crayons. We still don't get all the products you do! I look on Amazon us frequently and see many Crayola products not available here except via 3rd parties.

My Value Village had no colouring supplies, sadly. But I like those Colouring book cafe books I went through your links and also again on my own and those books are $8.99 not $4.99. Argh! Lost out BUT they now have a digital shop and are a little cheaper plus I can put them on my own paper. Still wondering if I should wait because it may be $4.99 as you said if I join the club. Waiting for an invite to see what that costs.
Hi Arlene, When each new book is released they are 4.99 for, I think, 48 hrs. Then the price goes up to normal. I paid 9.99 for the Country Collection which is 4 books in 1. I think normal price is 7.99-8.99 still a pretty good price considering Jade Summer books start at 9.99 for us.
Laurentians were my favourites too. I remembering getting a set for Christmas and never opening it bc I was afraid to use it. Wish I had those now!!

Ahhh, you got the Black Editions 😃 Couldn't help but notice one was shorter than the rest - did you have trouble sharpening them too? (Don't know if you remember but I had a devil of a time with mine breaking after/during sharpening until I realised and changed the sharpener I used and I've not had problems since).
I really need to get those Monarch's soon, I don't know how I've resisted as long as I have but it's getting harder 😂
Actually no. I coloured quite a few pictures with them after first getting them and just used that one a lot! They do get used up at a pretty fast rate being so soft though. oh well. I love them!
@@NikkiinNiagara Ahh yes, the curse of the softer pencils - the more we like them, the faster they disappear, LOL.
