Chuck Berry got it all started . The long solos and hard hitting riffs , and not to mention the out of control dances. Thanks for bringing your style to the table
Just a layman here when it comes to guitar players. Loved Stevie Ray Vaughan, loved him--just to watch him on camera made my soul smile. Was feeling some of that watching this powerhouse Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Wow! I'm glad that I don't know enough technically to see anything but close-to-perfection when I see these guys play. Damn!
I just want to than Kenny and Noah for paying tribute to Chuck but more than that thank for honoring Johnny Winter with Edgar on the new album .what a great thing he truly was the white flame and you did him justice thank you .
Thank you KWS & Band for the tribute to a True Icon**** Like B.B. King the mainstream media did not even give his death a minute of time. What a shame. Thanks again & God Bless
Tonally and hand action wise this sounds a lot like the Johnny Winter version......A high compliment.....I saw Kenny at the Experience Hendrix fest at the Greek Theater in Los Angeles just before Mitch Mitchell passed away.....Mitch and Chris Layton were the drummers that night....Tommy Shannon and Billy Cox on bass.... Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, Mato Nanji from the band Indigenous, Eric Johnson, and Robert Randolph, Robbie Krieger and Brad Whitford.....All great guitarists with their own skill sets.... Kenny burned it down.
Nice version - I met Kenny a couple weeks ago at a show here at The Orleans Casino showroom - he's a good guy -a had a nice 10 min chat with him before the show - about guitars - staying tune - and of course the influence that Jimi Hendrix left on every guitar player since he died - whether they know it or not. BTW - *NOBODY EVER PLAYED "A LOOSE JAM TYPE OF THING -JOHNNY B GOODE - WHAT THE HELL" BETTER THAN JIMI'S SMOKIN' VERSION AT BERKLEY*. THERE IS NOT EVEN A DISCUSSION OVER THAT. R.I.P. CHUCK BERRY - YOU WROTE SOME TIMELESS MUSIC AND MADE UP RnR RIFFS THAT WILL LIVER FOREVER...
Everyone mentions the great playing of KWS, and I agree with that, but Noah is an awesome vocalist and Chris is the perfect drummer for this band.......
Also give credit to Noah don't know your last name but at the end of Johnny B Goode you raised your up hope to the give the credit to the Lord 🙏 thanks for the jester ma
Yes.. Chuck Berry is a legend...but Hendrix actually idolized Eddie Cochran... not Chuck Berry... Jimi said Chuck Berry was totally unpredictable and way to demanding... Keith Richards can vouch for that.. Chuck punched Keith in the mouth just for touching his guitar...
OUTSTANDING!!!! THATS how that song should be played. Jimi and Chuck would be proud

Jimi told you this? I'm sure on some level Hendrix "idolozed" Mr Berry, had a great influence etc.. how could he not? Try to not make anything else up
Awesome!!!
