"That's a pretty aggressive kiddie coaster." Right?!?! When I went my friends and I decided to go on some kiddie rides bc the line for all the good rides were pretty long. To my surprise that coaster took off and was crazy for a kiddie coaster. I'm so proud of my younger self for riding that alone.
I live right down the street from Knott's and I have a season pass, thus I visit (usually) several times a week, though never on a weekend, in order to avoid huge crowds. Lately they've been shutting down and even removing rides and have only replaced with one new one: "Sol Spin", which is middle-of-the-road at best, but Knott's is still my favorite theme park. I grew up with it and have watched it evolve over the half-century I've been coming. Sad to see some things go (often inexplicably), but happy to see lots of new, excellent stuff, as well. I'm a Knott's addict and have been for over 50 years.
If you're ever near that park during April Knott's has a boysenberry festival where they set up food stands all over the park where you can get great food all containing boysenberries.
Excelerator used to run two trains but for some reason they decided run only one train year round . Montezuma's Revenge is a shuttle coaster so it can run one train, but the operators cans dispense the trains very quickly.
Absolutely agree! Knott's Berry Farm is a Southern California landmark in it's own rite! Having been the birthplace of the Boysenberry to the birthplace of the modern day looping rollercoaster (The Corkscrew in 1975) this park manages to stay ahead of the game and compete with grand daddy parks like its uber-famous neighbor, the 1955 original Disneyland,....and it's competition to the north, Magic Mountain in Valencia. The park is so clean and beautifully maintained. And by far some of the FRIENDLIEST employees of any amusement park I've ever been to. (and I've been to a lot of parks from east coast to west coast). Their employees seem genuinely happy to be there and to help you in any way. I have a personal reason to love this park,...because they still have one of the very few old 1970's Schwarzkopf fly-wheel launch shuttle loops still operating to this day! Montezooma's Revenge is a classic Schwarzkopf shuttle loop. I grew up in the 1980's not far from Kennywood in Southwestern Pennsylvania. And during the 1980's,...Kennywood also owned a Schwarzkopf fly-wheen shuttle loop. It was called "The Laser Loop" and was at the very front of the park. It was my very first looping coaster experience. I was just tall enough to ride it,....but pertified! I LOVED the experience of going upsidedown,...and from that moment on, I was HOOKED on rollercoasters. So of course Laser Loop is long gone,...but Knott's Berry Farm still has Montezooma's Revenge and it still packs a punch! I love it!!!
Hey Taylor! This is my home park and I actually met you here when you came here during your summer trip and it was so much fun hanging out with you! If you ever come back here be sure to let us know!
And this was before Hang-time which is way better than Boomerang! I agree that the biggest negative was some of the extremely long lines on the Log Ride, Hang time and Ghost Rider! I only got to ride each of those once during a full day at the park. The lines were crazy long all the way up till closing. I’d probably recommend skipping the weekends during the summer if you can.
I grew up at Knotts. The guy in the big Snoopy costume gave the best hugs. And growing up riding the coasters and eating dippin dots with my buddies or a lady friend, Knotts has always been a local staple in Orange county, CA
Went at the end of Summer 2014. Loved the whole experience, especially the Boysenberry Juice Drinks (bought an all-day refill cup for that). The employees are friendly and excited to be there, and the rides are amazing, especially Xcelerator (my fastest launched coaster ever thus far) and Ghost Rider. Hell, I loved Jaguar! I loved my experience and can't wait to visit again.
This was my favorite park growing up as a kid in southern cali. The rides and the themeing kept me excited for my next visit. Timberline twister was my first ever rollercoaster, and i do have fond memories of this park overall :)
Great review. Good to hear the positive. Every time I think of Knott's Berry, I think of that soap box derby and the failed racing mini coaster, the one that always got stuck.
On a really empty day my friends and I made a pact to stay on Silver Bullet in the back until somebody joined the queue. We were on that ride for 3.5 hours.
I went here when it was young and had a blast. It has something for everyone, I love the theming, it’s a cool looking park. I’m thinking of going back here one day for nostalgia and to ride the rollercoasters
We had half a day there when I visited California in 2008 and I remember fondly Silver Bullet, Xcelerator and Riptide (RIP) and Montezoomas Revenge. Great park, I hope I can visit it again sometime.
I'm glad you enjoy Knott's Berry Farm very much because so do I. Unlike my other home park which is Six Flags Magic Mountain (except for Gold Rusher), It's very well themed to the state of California in both the old times and modern days
Well, originally Magic Mountain was themed for the wizard and trolls that were the original inhabitants of California, but Six Flags bought the park and got rid of this theming. :-(
CW has some great themeing too... I mean it's not a theme park like KBF, Disney, Universal, etc... but for an 'amusement park' the theming is outstanding! Probably 2nd best themed park in the CF chain... Knotts being #1
This is definitely one of my bucket list parks. I just love when parks just have that charm factor to them like Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Dollywood and this park both look really fun and I hope I can visit soon
I grew up going to Knott's Berry Farm and actually worked there for about 2 1/2 years before I left the LA area for college. A lot of the attractions that you loved about Knott's - the Calico Mine Ride, the Timber Mountain Log Ride, Ghost Town, Boysenberry Punch - were there long before Cedar Fair ever took over. They were all brought there by the founder, Walter Knott, who incidentally was good friends with Walt Disney. Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed Knott's. I haven't been there since 2003, my last day of work, but I'd love to go back and see what's changed.
When you thought nemesis inferno was underrated, so patriot was underrated, ride silver bullet!! Its always forgotten and put in misery by afterburn, montu, and alpengiest!! Its cobra roll is often forgotten too!!
go to knott’s during the week not during any holiday and lines are crazy short. longest we waited was 10 minuets for xcelerator. silver bullet was an 8 min wait, montezumas revenge was 5. really benefits to go during the week
Great review. I went to Knotts 3 weeks ago. What a beautiful experience it was. Loved it so much I feel sad that I'll probably never be back (living in Australia)
I went to this park during a big trip in memorial of my mom. It was awesome! And the food was amazing! I got Wagon Wheel Pizza, by far the best pizza I have had in a park!
To me being the person that grew up in California everyone should say this is the Best first theme park of California that’s well known for funnel cakes, roller coasters, scenery, etc.
I go here with my friend all the time just to hang out and enjoy the fun. Going here on Monday because we have a minimum day and get out of school at 12:15
I'll be in Anaheim, CA the first week in December, and I think you've convinced me to visit this park! How busy do you think it is this time of year? Any particular day of the week you'd suggest for shorter lines? Thanks!
I think with food, you have to go to their Boysenberry Festival, where they go all out with the food to make them Boysenberry flavoured, and it's awesome
Thanks so much for this video. With D-Land jacking up their prices up again this year, we're thinking of going to Knotts for the first time. With that, I have a couple of questions for you. How much smaller is the park than Di-Land? Can a family do the park in one day? How clean was the park?
I haven’t been to knotts berry farm since I was a baby, so I don’t remember anything from that place. But the time I went last month was the worst experience. It wasn’t the park it was the people I went with. I am the only one in my family that loves scary rides well also my dad. But my dad and my mom are divorce so. My moms friend and also her 2 little kids went with us. So it was basically just all toddlers except me. So the whole time I was there we where only at the kid rides 😩 We were there for 2 days and we stayed only at the kiddy rides. So I didn’t go on any scary rides.
iirc Ghost Town is old, almost as old as the western setting it depicts. It's what the rest of the park grew around, and before Cedar Point bought the place it used to be sort of gated from the rest of the park as a place you could just walk around for free, like a very atmospheric mall (Ghost Rider didn't exist yet). That's why the theming around that area is so much better than the more coaster centered areas like Boardwalk.
Frick I go there all the time have season passes I used to live in California but a few months ago i moved to Arizona. But i still go there sometimes but I do agree with you on the food and all of the wait times so fricken long.
Knotts is probably my favorite park, especially since I started working there. Definetly try to visit during holloween time for Knotts Scary Farm, and also weekdays are the best days to go cause it's normally a literal ghost town. I once got on ghost rider 3 times in 10 minutes (2 back row rides 1 front row ride) it was so empty
The cool thing with the ghost town is that it is based on a real ghost town in San Bernardino County also called Calico that Walter Knott had a lot of involvement in the restoration of.
I grew up going here. It is a really good park for thrill junkies, but for those who aren't ready for Magic Mountain. That's a great park too. I've been going here since I was seven.
I'm born and raised in California and I've been to Knotts more times than I can count. It has always been such a fun clean and well balanced park. I feel like it's getting worse though. I went this summer and the lines were so long they get out of the space made more the lines and it's getting to be rowdy. There was so many groups of young adults cussing out loud with kids around and it's terrible.
Just recently went there and LOVED it. Ghost rider is by far my favorite ride. Just some advice: GET THE FAST LANE!!! It is TOTALLY worth it. I got to ride Ghost rider 3 times in 25 minutes when it was normally a 1 hour wait or more to ride it once without the fast lane. I also rode Silver bullet twice in about 15 minutes. You pretty much skip to the front of every single roller coaster and only have to wait 15 minutes maximum, but usually only about 5 or so minutes. You also don't need to reserve rides like in Disneyland for the fast lane. Great park overall, love the themeing. Also the water park is pretty good too.
I grew up in Buena Park. I got to go to Knott's a lot. I loved it. It's not as good as it use to be. But still pretty great. Mr and Mrs Knott did a great job there. If you haven't already, look us their history. Disney is great too. Walt Disney was quite a guy as well.
I just got back from Knott's Berry Farm and it was incredibly fun, though they seemed to be having a problem with ride operations, Ghost Rider for example kept breaking down all day long to the point that I never even got to ride it today sadly. I feel like they could have added an extra vehicle on Xcelerator because it was just relying on the one car all day which probably had an impact on how slow the line was. However I did get to go on HangTime for the first time (rode it twice today) and it's an amazing new ride! I even bought a shirt for it. Great day despite my critical remarks.
I used to live 36 mins away from here and loved it! still isn't as amazing as Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood, but it is my fav Cedar Fair park.
One thing i will say about silver bullet is the colour scheme if its go SILVER in the name then why is the track painted orange and red? they should repaint it. But i like how most coasters interact with each other kinda reminds me of blackpool pleasure beach
Most balanced park in CA for sure, my mom hates rollercoasters and this is the only park she really likes. The log ride and mine ride are classic attractions and Ghost Town is just so enjoyable to explore and hang out in. With Hang Time open now, this park has a really solid lineup of thrill coasters, including the best woodie on the west coast (Gold Striker is overrated, fight me). As you mentioned, all the family coasters are unique and enjoyable, and Sierra Sidewinder honestly is pretty intense for a ride located in the kiddie section of the park. Food here is great (for an amusement park), hell I'd say the food's better than what Disney has to offer. Finally, this park probably has my favorite show: Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies, a super talented and funny bluegrass/country band that was laid off by Disney and immediately hired by Knott's a few years back. Magic Mountain may be the coaster capital of the west but I'll take Knott's before it any day.
This is where I went on my first "Roller Coaster" (I was 5... I think) I went on the side-winder. And then on that sea saw kiddie thing. God my stomach didn't feel good. Just to keep it short, I threw up.
Wish this was my home park (being around 6k miles away doesn’t help). Being a Peanuts fan, this is my favorite park ever. But other Cedar Fair parks are on my bucket list nevertheless! This year I’m finally getting to ride Hang Time!
I loved this park...sort of. I grew up going to this park a lot and while it has it's pros, it does have its cons as well. I suppose for me when I was younger I didn't go on thrill rides. I was, for the most part, scared to go on anything thrill related. Hell, I wouldn't even dare go on a roller coaster back then. So finding that middle ground ride was a challenge. However, this park is where I got my first experience riding a coaster. Jaguar was my first coaster ever. So I do hold that memory close to me. Overall, yes, this park has one of the most unique themeing. You can get candles made, wooden signs, even local jelly.
I'm from Europe and will get to LA next year in may but I only have time for one of the three main parks. I'm really unsure if I should go for the thrills of Magic Mountain, the charm of Knott's, or if I should just go to Disney. I mean Europa Park is my Home Park, and I've been to Disney Paris and Efteling, which is why I'm not prioritizing Disney Land. Magic Mountain has the thrills, but it's quite far away from anywhere and I probably won't have a car. It'll probably still end up being Magic Mountain where I'll go to, because of a bunch of rides I won't see in Europe so soon, but is Knott's worth to go to instead?
This park is the only theme park closest to where I live so I go there a lot and it is my favorite theme park in the U.S. I don't really have a problem with the lines and I think they go pretty quick compared to other lines at different parks. Btw, which ride do you think is your favorite? Mine is Ghost Rider.
Knotts is definitely one if my favorite theme parks. It definitely has my favorite train. I actually got (pretend) robbed on the train! The shows were great, the rides were solid, and the scenery was unlike anything I've seen at a Cedar Fair, or even a Six Flags park. I will definitely be back next time I'm in SoCal.
gplez91 ya!! I got pretend robbed on the train to, the robber had his hand out but didn't say anything n I gave him a high five n he was like "nooooooo Im robbing u" I don't remember exactly what he said cuz it was like 2 years ago
Excellent review. I enjoyed this park as well. I can see what you mean by balance as well. I went there with my sisters and brother when we were early to late teenagers (5 kids). I can see why we enjoyed it so much; too old for Disney Land but not exactly ready for the thrill of the big guns at say; Kentucky Kingdom or Six Flags.
Why do I feel like when I go here for the first time (yes I am sad person) my Disney obsessed brother would think Ghost Town is a copy of Frontierland?
Glad you finally reviewed my home park.
Ol' Misery yeah knotts is my local park
Same here
Ol' Misery same
Welcome to the club
It’s like got nothing to do let’s go to knotts at 5pm 15 minutes drive where there and have fun

Kenneth Cook I don't live next to knots berry farm but, my grandma that I visit every holiday and summer does live near by Gilbert Elementary
I'm from sf
If you're ever near that park during April Knott's has a boysenberry festival where they set up food stands all over the park where you can get great food all containing boysenberries.
Nerd_United Your profile pic tho.
Excelerator used to run two trains but for some reason they decided run only one train year round . Montezuma's Revenge is a shuttle coaster so it can run one train, but the operators cans dispense the trains very quickly.
Andy Mann xccelarator did have an accident where the cable snapped so that might be the reason.
Andy Mann it runs 2 trains now
Yeah they can get those carts running quickly on Montezoomas Revenge which actually surprised me
When I was there today they only had one train.
Sometimes on really crowded days Xcelerator runs 2 yrains
Hey Taylor! This is my home park and I actually met you here when you came here during your summer trip and it was so much fun hanging out with you! If you ever come back here be sure to let us know!
Thank you, and for sure I'll post whenever I go back! I don't know when that will be, but hopefully sooner rather than later!
Coaster Studios ok, thank you!
ItsKamden this is my home park too
ItsKamden
Robert William McGill what
And this was before Hang-time which is way better than Boomerang!
Your review is excellent!!!
I’ve been coming here for 50 years
Our family likes it better then Disneyland!!!!
If you like quaint, this is it!!!
I find it so funny, he said "finding a location for great thrills" as the camera pans over to a Vekoma boomerang
Jason Rondeau so glad they replaced it with hangtime
Went at the end of Summer 2014. Loved the whole experience, especially the Boysenberry Juice Drinks (bought an all-day refill cup for that). The employees are friendly and excited to be there, and the rides are amazing, especially Xcelerator (my fastest launched coaster ever thus far) and Ghost Rider. Hell, I loved Jaguar! I loved my experience and can't wait to visit again.
Have you heard of a game called Planet Coaster? It's probably the best theme park simulator game!!!
I also love how they didn't let Atari develop the game too!! 😂😂 I am so amazed by it. I'm glad they added RMC coasters too!!
I'm trying so hard to save up and buy it. I really want it so I can recreate a bunch of coasters!!
Nathan Weaver it isn’t rct
No limits 2
Yes.
I love ghost rider my favorite wood coaster
Yes another park review! I love these!
I've been to knotts berry farm twice it was fun
The fast passes are so worth it. Mm's flash passes are $100 and for only a few rides.
also what is your favorite coaster at knotts
Christianator YT silver bullet!
5:26 LOL at the father flicking his daughter's ponytail on the roller coaster
One of the best parks in October. Knotts Scarry farm was my jam when I was younger.
Who's ready for HangTime
Kaneki Ken not me
I live 15 min away from knotts and ima go this Sunday 👉😎👉
Rode it 11 times so far.
Kaneki Ken knots berry farm is my home park sort of it is 32 minutes away from me and I already rode it it is awesome
I already have ridden it! Highly reccomended!!!!
This was my favorite park growing up as a kid in southern cali. The rides and the themeing kept me excited for my next visit. Timberline twister was my first ever rollercoaster, and i do have fond memories of this park overall :)

Fun Fact: Knotts was family owned, and their food especially fries, were so popular and the lines were so long, that they had to add attractions.

King Oliver agreed
King Oliver actually cedar point has a bit better theming IMO
This is definitely one of my bucket list parks. I just love when parks just have that charm factor to them like Busch Gardens Williamsburg.

Loving the love for Knott's Berry Farm. It's one of my favorite parks too!
This review makes me love this park even more. Thanks :D
When you thought nemesis inferno was underrated, so patriot was underrated, ride silver bullet!! Its always forgotten and put in misery by afterburn, montu, and alpengiest!! Its cobra roll is often forgotten too!!
That roller coaster in Camp Snoopy was the first roller coaster I ever went on!
go to knott’s during the week not during any holiday and lines are crazy short. longest we waited was 10 minuets for xcelerator. silver bullet was an 8 min wait, montezumas revenge was 5. really benefits to go during the week

To me being the person that grew up in California everyone should say this is the Best first theme park of California that’s well known for funnel cakes, roller coasters, scenery, etc.
I’ve been to every knotts roller coaster, and hangtime was my fav
Boysenberry is a delicious raspberry/blackberry hybrid that was created at Knotts a long time ago when it was actually a farm still.
My home park, yay
I go here with my friend all the time just to hang out and enjoy the fun. Going here on Monday because we have a minimum day and get out of school at 12:15

i liked the discount admission after 5;00 during the summer,i was able to do everything i wanted before closing.great time.
YES YOUR COMING TO CALI FOR THESE NEXT FEW VIDEOS *Praying for a Goldstriker Review*
Thanks so much for this video. With D-Land jacking up their prices up again this year, we're thinking of going to Knotts for the first time. With that, I have a couple of questions for you. How much smaller is the park than Di-Land? Can a family do the park in one day? How clean was the park?
Clearly you're not from Southern California because us locals call it Sidewinder, not Sierra Sidewinder.
Jake Theo I'm a local and I call it Sierra Sidewinder! NBD.

I thought you'd reference Summer School. Such a fun movie.
I went in the summer literally went inside when it opened and went straight to ghostrider which already had a 2hr wait

yup, that's true! We actually drove past Calico to get to Knott's, and it was pretty cool!

Ghostrider has long lines because it's probably the best wooden coaster in CA. It's absolutely nuts.
Favorite amusement park that I’ve been to
I thought for a second that you give a final score on park reviews
I used to live 36 mins away from here and loved it! still isn't as amazing as Disneyland or Universal Studios Hollywood, but it is my fav Cedar Fair park.
Hey is knotts and magic mountain worth a visit from New York? Which other park should I go to while I’m there? Really just in it for the coasters... 😁
One thing i will say about silver bullet is the colour scheme if its go SILVER in the name then why is the track painted orange and red? they should repaint it. But i like how most coasters interact with each other kinda reminds me of blackpool pleasure beach
Can you do a review on tower of terror
The lines aren't bad during weekdays, I skipped school Thursday to go and there were hardly any lines and I got to do all the thrill rides in 2 hours
Since this video, Knott’s has added in a Gurstlauer Eurofighter in Boomerangs spot which makes this park even better.
It's actually a Gerstlauer infinity! Also, Taylor recently got around to Hangtime, which was his 600th coaster!
My bad
Good for Taylor
Plot Twist: The "Horses" pulling that carriage are actually advanced transportation animatronics
Really good review totally agree
I worked the carnival games my junior and senior year of highschool. Good times 😀
I think)
I went on the side-winder. And then on that sea saw kiddie thing. God my stomach didn't feel good.
Just to keep it short, I threw up.
Someone recreated this game in theme park tycoon in Roblox and it looked like it was really small. But looking at it now it looks genuinely big.
Wish this was my home park (being around 6k miles away doesn’t help). Being a Peanuts fan, this is my favorite park ever. But other Cedar Fair parks are on my bucket list nevertheless!
This year I’m finally getting to ride Hang Time!
i like knott berry farm better then Disneyland
I like Disneyland more than knotts
Well it is expensive but there are passe and packages for discounts.
christopher ruiz well Disneyland is expensive but it still has many more rides and it is one of the best parks in the world.
christopher ruiz Agreed
Agreed
You should definitely check out Gardaland, in Italy. Ofc you don't have to go there, but it has the BEST theming I ever saw
I will be there next month!
Woah, nice! It's my home park, really awesome and well done. Definitely not the largest, but the few rides are amazing. Planning some kind of review?
I'm going there for a field trip for school
This park is the only theme park closest to where I live so I go there a lot and it is my favorite theme park in the U.S. I don't really have a problem with the lines and I think they go pretty quick compared to other lines at different parks. Btw, which ride do you think is your favorite? Mine is Ghost Rider.
This park is the definition of charming
Im glad the boomerang is gone hangtime is so much better
This is my home park and it is one of my favorites
I love this park and once I arrived super early and rode ghost Rider first but there was like a 2 hour wait but I have to say it was totally worth it
My son and I are going in March. How are lines during that month?
You should go back for knotts scary farm And do a review
