Watching this from a pure performance perspective. The 4070 is going to become a price to performance king a year or two imo (when prices come down). The performance is mostly impressive, especially when you can make use of frame generation.
maybe, but maybe not, idk if faster memory will make difference but 6700 xt for example even on high, at least in the last of us, with fsr it can run out of vram, it would stutter when around 11.x vram, and get back around 10, and would repeat and it have 12 gb also of vram

@Ancient Gameplays Hi, would it be possible for you to make some benchmark testing during the upcoming Diablo 4 server slam (12-14 may) on rx 6700/6800 xt and 4070 at 1440p? There's not a lot real benchmarks about this game, I think many players wondering how it perfomes with those GPUs, especially VRAM usage wise with high resolution assets pack. Thanks a lot.
Im still a little new about some stuff, does it mean something if the gpu gets to %95+ usage while the cpu is at %40~ usage? Is it bottleneck or is it normal? And btw is there any bottleneck between these two components? Ty :)
That’s a slight bottleneck but also depends on the game and settings. If you are using the streaming encoder on the cpu it’s ok but if the cpu isn’t doing anything but processing for the GPU then yes - that’s a small bottleneck. Increase resolution or rendering resolution and bottleneck should reduce
What do you think about I have ryzen 9 5900x and I won't to upgrade mine gpu so I thinking about rx 6950 xt or rx 7900 Xtx I will play on ultrawide 3440 1440
I dont understand why people are so concerned with vram. From what ive seen, this card thrives at 1440 and crushes 1080p. Unless you are trying to run this card at 4k, vram will not be a problem, everyone is just speculating. Multiple devs have also claimed 12gb is perfectly fine for years to come, especially since most games are made with a console port in mind. Am I missing something? 12gb seems perfectly fine for 1080p/1440 for majority of games. Someone explain if im missing something.
I think you'd be better off buying a 6800xt, it's cheaper and outperforms the 4070 in most games and has 16Gb of VRAM compared to 12Gb on the 4970. If you are big into Ray tracing, then buy the 4070. The 4070 does use less power too.
Oh, and how does the Witcher 3 look with raytacing, DLSS 3 & Framegen? Is it a mess compared to native raytracing at 1080p or does it manage to maintain visual clarity?

At first, I didn't do any OC or undervolting on BIOS and during CPU-Based games my temp was around 85 degrees. During GPU and Ram-based games temp was around 65 degrees. To me, this temp was very high especially for Cpu-based games so i did some research on the net and forums. Eventually I downgraged my TDP from Auto to 65W (you know, in auto TDP mode, Cpu consumes nealy 170w) and got nearly 10 degrees cooling on Cpu. So I was playing Cpu-based games around 75 degrees with 2 or 3 FPS loss. And I was playing Gpu and Ram-based games around 55-60 degrees. I also tried undervolting Cpu but when I changed voltage setting from auto to manual, BIOS didn't give me an option to write a new value. That's why I couldn't undervolt it. During your video, I noticed that your Cpu is generally consuming 65-70W, max 100W while you were playing Cyberpunk. (if I remember it was the right game) Did you do any change in your TDP settings? Because your Cpu isn't consuming more than 100W while playing in the video. If you didn't do any changes with TDP, what did you do to make your Cpu cooler (OC/Undervolting/BIOS setting) or is it just a Cpu cooler difference? I will really appriciate if you help me to make my Cpu more cooler. Thanks in advance.

Hi man, thanks for the video. Does upgrading from 7700x to 7800x3d or 7950x3d worth for Warzone? I have 4080 and 7700x and I’m getting avg 150 fps at 2k resolution. Even if I change to low or extreme setting my fps is same and I guess that means 7700x can not handle 4080. Btw I ordered new 6000mhz cl 32 rams to change my 5200 cl 40 rams, does it make a big change? Thanks for your help.
You need to see what's actually the bottleneck first, the cpu, ram or gpu
Also, that ram kit will indeed raise the fps a bit, 5200cl40 is too low
@@AncientGameplays In mp benchmark if iIset balanced quality cpu starts to bottlenecking. If I set everything to ultra, there is no bottleneck.

Xtx is quite faster at higher resolutions and has much more potential untaped, but is also more expensive

Excelente video 👌🏻, tengo exactamente ese mismo setup, ryzen 7 7700x y Rtx 4070, solo juego a 1440p
nice!
I think you'd be better off buying a 6800xt, it's cheaper and outperforms the 4070 in most games and has 16Gb of VRAM compared to 12Gb on the 4970. If you are big into Ray tracing, then buy the 4070. The 4070 does use less power too.

Hi there, that's great video, appriciated. I have similar build with minor differences.
Motherboard: MSI MAG650 Tomahawk
Cpu: Rzyen 7700x
Gpu Asus Tuf Gaming 4070 Tİ OC
Ram: XPG 16x2 5200 Mhz
Psu: MSI MPG A850G PCIE5 850W 80 Plus Gold
Case: Cooler Master MasterBox TD500 V2 Mesh ARGB
SSD 1: James Donkey 256 GB Nvme (For Windows only)
SSD 2: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB Nvme (For games only)
Cpu cooler: Cougar 360mm Liquid Cooler
Thermal paste: Artic MX 6
It is my first AMD-Based build.
(if I remember it was the right game)
Did you do any change in your TDP settings? Because your Cpu isn't consuming more than 100W while playing in the video.
If you didn't do any changes with TDP, what did you do to make your Cpu cooler (OC/Undervolting/BIOS setting) or is it just a Cpu cooler difference?
I will really appriciate if you help me to make my Cpu more cooler. Thanks in advance.
its normal, just leave everything default for max performance
Do you have a video on how you setup your MSI Afterburner if not can you make one
I do not, if so, everyone would be using my settings and I don't want that :D
@@AncientGameplays ok I understand
Bro, where i live they only have dual fans so they performance the same??
The temps will be a bit worse
If nvidia does a 16gb refresh, this card will be super good with its performance and energy consumption.
With the memory bus on this card being 192bit, I dont think they can offer more than 12GB because the GDDR6 (X?) chips only come in 2GB... I think.
Wont happen since this card has 192 bit bus
@@TKDWolf isn’t the memory bus tied to the chip memory configuration? 2 more chips and the 16gb will be available at 256bit bus. Also did check the pcb and yes, there is room for 2 more chip. There is a chance even if very slightly
@InSomnia DrEvil there are literally 2 free memory slot that are not used if you see the pcb of any board partner. Nvidia used 2gb gddr6x 32bit , there are 6 chip with 32 bit= 192 bit bus 12gb , 2 more chips on the free slot are exactly 16gb /256bit bus the same as the rtx 4080
