From watching this, I'm so not a lux kinda gal. Budget to mid range is my kind of way. Have you guys got more of your favorites like fish and chip shop or breakfast place?
Funny to see Dishoom featured here. My wife's best friend's husband actually co-founded the chain. Enjoyed the three levels of touring. I kind of like the chill vibe we get instead of the frenetic racing (which I still enjoy).
Prices in Tesco and Lidl are often more expensive in London than the north. It depends on what you are buying and which part of London. I paid £1.99 for a 500ml coke from a Tesco in London. Never paid that outside of london
Good video. My tips: walk or use the Tube; drink in pubs rather than bars - my last pint £4.50; find restaurants with set menus - I like Brasserie Zedel, in Sherwood Street; and book your theatre-tickets (and trains) a couple of weeks ahead, choosing shows coming to the end of their run.
Have to say I’d spend £25 NOT to see Six but I guess I’m just an old git. London is a great place just to wander around which is good for the budget. The problem is when you want to find a hotel room at a budget. I found one the other day at £80 per night in Pimlico. It was a tiny room but clean and comfy. It would be interesting to see Nicky, Liam and Max compare cheap, mid range and luxury hotels too.
Great video - thank you all! The Indian YMCA was a brilliant tip, as was Dishoom. I’ve been a fan of Gymkhana, so it was nice to see it featured. All the drink options were perfect…I often will do Berners Tavern at The Edition if Dukes or one of my other choices is too full…as it’s a gorgeous room and it’s also in the neighborhood where my London friends live.
Gotta make sure to bookmark this video somewhere. Just came off my second trip to London & I definitely want to make the third trip charming. Don't know if to the tune of a few hundred pounds but definitely got some ideas off of here.
Great Video, but this is one of the few times I'm happy to live in South Africa 22 pounds for a cocktail you can buy 3 bottles of good Vodka here for that.
Thank you so much for such a detailed video on all budget ranges. This is giving me hope that I will be able to afford the trip I want to take! Ive bee doing research and all I get is have £195 per person per day for food and transport alone and for two weeks thats quite a bit for two people. Could you create a similar video to this for families please and thank you?
That's interesting. I've driven past the Indian YMCA and was curious about it. Wow. Liam must have caught a really quiet day to just walk in to Dishoom. Still yet to eat at Gymkhana
Was in London back in June for work and then spent the weekend doing my own thing. I did a mix of Mid to Luxe. I took black cabs if they were around and then Uber if not. Enjoyed the Ivy and 2 shows on west end (paid full price because I booked good seats a month before). Drank in a mix of fancy bars and pubs. Don’t think I would do pure luxe or pure mid. Gotta mix it up a bit!!
Royalty, very wealthy people, and celebrities don’t stay at the Shangri-La when in London, although it’s a good hotel. They tend to stay at The Dorchester, The Goring, Claridge’s, The Ritz, or The Savoy. Then you have the Mandarin Oriental, The Lanesborough, The Langham, The Corinthia, The Connaught, and smaller hotels like Brown’s and Dukes.
Excellent vid! Although I hate to break to you Nicky, but my little village doesn’t have a curry house! We have a dodgy Chinese and a chippy but need to drive a few miles to find an Indian restaurant (however, said Indian is one of the best curry houses in the area so no complaints there!)
I'm returning to London in mid-September (after 4 long years), and I'd already decided to try out Dishoom... but I'm defo heading to the Indian YMCA for a meal at some point! Some other great tips on this video, and entertaining and fun as always. Thanks, guys!
Londoner here, the spending on transport via cabs and uber luxe is obscene and 100% unnecessary if you ever visit London. London has tube stations, rail stations and bus stops everywhere, much of central london is in easy walking distance, and rapid, cheap tube or bus journey distance. Tube fares are under £3 and bus fares under £2. If you take black cabs and ubers you will spend ages waiting for them to turn up, they get stuck in traffic and you should only take them if you are happy for your hard earned money to evaporate
the candy in the uber just comes off tacky..nothing elitist about it when i was expecting the lady ridnig around in a limo it'd be helpful if they can actually give us a price range that they're testing out. a couple of dollar signs doesn't tell me anything
Nicky already blew his budget. If his Indian costed £8 like he said. He wouldn't have been able to afford it if he had £10 because his lift scooter wouldn't have got him there for under £2.
Watching this from India. Felt great to see so much appreciation for Indian cuisine!
It’s so nice to see Nicky and Liam again 🥰
Totally agree!
From watching this, I'm so not a lux kinda gal. Budget to mid range is my kind of way. Have you guys got more of your favorites like fish and chip shop or breakfast place?
Love the changing of the guard and Liam's tickets reduction love that too me I'd choose back to the future love that musical

Prefer to be in a black cab…. They know so much more about London than somebody who has got a nice car and a sat nav

this is a really cool idea/video. Hope to see more.
I concur. Yes, please!
Hahaha Nicky trying to convince us he's ok with the budget options :p
The music choices were all fantastic on this video!
You got a cab from Piccadilly Circus to Shaftesbury avenue?? Quicker to walk!
Nicky Kelvin, the man who makes our days with iconic cold opens 😂
Great fun. Please do this for other cities too.
Been ages since Liam was in a vid...good to see he is still on the team!
At mid-range I would have used the tube and walked tbh! Interesting comparison though!😊

Great video! Would love to see more videos from London.
budget option was 12.84, not 9.84, but good tip for YMCA
It’s great to see a video where faces are blurred at appropriate times. This is one of my bugbears with travel vlogs.
great video for my planning for the london trip at the end of the year! thanks for all the amazing recommendations :)
It's great to see Nicky and Liam spreading the love across the TPG channels!
Why is the thumbnail $ has London changed its currency ?
it's a global standard nowadays regardless of the country's currency
@@Aditya_Atodaria BS $ are not a global standard 😂
@@adamharbour111its a global standard, people can easily convert it to their currency and know much it it

Great video and chemistry between you all! Loving Maz!

I would love to have your budget!
The most luxurious hotel is The Shard no doubt.
Also, if you have mid-budget, it's cheaper to use the tube than cabs actually
The Shangri La?
@@shyhistorian yes

Great video but there is so much you can experience for 300 pounds then a one on one mediation session which most of it is sitting silently
Question- what time should we be at the barracks to see the changing of the guard?
I love the primrose hill so much, better than any bar 😍
Love that all 3 chose Indian cuisine😊

Great vid and an exciting and wonderful comparison😊
Great idea! Loved this one.
Great idea loved the video. Still in shock nick missed out on the luxury
Me: How british will you sound?
Liam: Moment please!
😂
Aaaabsolutely loved it! Finished off my birthday with watching this awesome episode with me mum, can’t waaaait to fly to London soon!
Great video. I want to watch more of your videos :)
More of Nicky going budget, yes.
On my next trip to London, I have to try budget and mid-range Indian food
amazing direction of content
it would be fun to try this out in Mumbai, India
And here i think 2,30 for a pint at Mannings in Ipswich is expensive hahaha
Nice video!! 👌

Ever heard about luxury experience? Sometimes you want to pay to stay away from public transport, crowds and have your own private space.
Gymkhana was the best meal I've had in my life, to be honest. Go if you get the chance!
the candy in the uber just comes off tacky..nothing elitist about it when i was expecting the lady ridnig around in a limo
it'd be helpful if they can actually give us a price range that they're testing out. a couple of dollar signs doesn't tell me anything
$$ signs don't matter. They fudged numbers from the beginning.
Loveeee thisss
Neco Williams, is that you?
Idk about y'all but who the heck has $1000 a day budget when traveling?? Lol
Nicky already blew his budget. If his Indian costed £8 like he said. He wouldn't have been able to afford it if he had £10 because his lift scooter wouldn't have got him there for under £2.
Ohh, you got the numbers wrong after editing
Don’t give the girl 1K - she’ll spend it on charcuterie boards
Definitely a moderate gal.
Sorry guys but not enjoying the recent changes to the channel.
i prefer NICKY'S budget
and use MCDONALDS for food
British Museums are are best museums in the world, Indians : We know 😂😂😂
Why do Brits put $$$ signs in their vids? Stick to your own currency, you DmbA's
