But what about the ones that you can put in a box and store in a closet each year? I want to know how those are made.
Lightningstone2u In China I think 🤔
They spray a lollipop with ant pheromones and it changes into a Christmas tree within a few days.. Now you know.. 😀😀😀🙌🎅🌲🎅🌲🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎊🎊🎈🎈🎈🎈🎉⛄⛄⛄🌲🌲🎅🎅🎄🌲🌲🎄🎄🎄
1. Cut green plastic
2. Wrap plastic around thick metal wire
3. Connect metal wire to center pole
4. Repeat
5. Add stand
Do you really need a video to figure that out?
Lightningstone2u Me too!
Here you go:
ruclips.net/video/wD5m6vhLV-A/видео.html
those are the ones that shopping malls put up , tell us how the regular ones are made that you put up in your homes
Charles DeLiberis same way
@@caspernicus5822 Definitely not the same way. The artificial tree my family puts up is completely different than shown in this video, there is no possible way this process would make the tree I have.
@@MargoMB19 I would say it's similar - basically the way they make the branches is likely the same. They just assemble it differently...
@@MargoMB19 the branches are exactly the same and the rest is obvious. It's just a pole.
I think its another way
Was hoping to see the cheap artificial trees we use in our homes
Ghost Rider right lol
those are made in china, and the show can't really go there, so only artisan places
@@arcbrush lol
I'm in the Pacific Northwest where real trees are in such an abundance that fake costs more.
My family has used Balsam Hill trees for years now. Anyone else use them?
It's cool and all, but I expected it to be about the type of tree millions drag out of storage every year.
U and me both, wasnt expecting the trees found in malls and businesses
Made in China you mean?
lol same
Same here

I've never had an artificial tree. We buy a live tree every year then after the holidays we plant it on our property. Been doing that for 13 years. All 13 of them are doing great with the biggest one over 20 ft tall now.
Such a great way to keep the beautiful trees living and enjoying for years to come ♡
trucker V very nice. Great thinking. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
trucker V that's awesome 🎄
Wait what? A Christmas tree is still alive after being cut? If this is true then why do so many people throw them out after Christmas????? Some people have them recycled into wood. CHips etc
WOF Chicago they don’t cut them down. They are live trees in a pot.
"How commercial Christmas trees are made" would have been a much more appropriate title
Exactly
It's still an artificial Christmas tree so the title isn't wrong
@@Monica_bondevik it was only said that it would've been "much more" appropriate, not that it was wrong. And I agree.
That's a thicc lookin tree
But seriously, how are the dusty Christmas trees from the depths of my dirty garage are made?
Decorating the tree is literally half the fun of Christmas tho!
Not when you have to install 48 of these in a mall every year
@@alec4672 is that what u do? Lol
@@marissawilder4587 part of what I do, I do commercial lighting displays. Christmas decorations in malls and government buildings, municipal holiday displays for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. Music festivals anything that isn't on stage anything big, decorative, with lights we do basically.
@Lera AnimeLover 26 were 16ft, 16 were 18ft, and 6 were 34ft the big 3 storey ones. We did the 34 footers when the mall was closed cause you need heavy equipment. Still nothing compared to the real one they set in New York.
@Lera AnimeLover You'd be surprised how efficent they are with LED lights now. You used to need a couple dedicated circuits for a 32ft tree now unless you want an over then average light density you can usually get 2 on one breaker
I expected a tree you would put in your house not a tree at town square
Merry Christmas everyone.....🎄🎅🎁💝
Happy Hanukkah
Wish this was about the trees people buy in stores.
I just wanted to see how the pieces of plastic pine needles ares made. I was wondering if it was with a machine. That is actually super fascinating that someone created a machine to do that!
It makes me sad that some people buy them already decorated. Decorating the tree was something we always looked forward to as a kid and I still enjoy it now as an adult.
I agree!
Our plastic tree had to be assembled every year, literally twig by twig. It was entirely hard plastic. One year my mother (who got stuck with assembly, decoration and dis-assembly) put ours up on Christmas Eve and took it down Christmas evening. She HATED that thing. My dad adored it.
Teacher: What did you learn over the winter break?
Me: I learned how artificial Christmas trees are made
Imagine how many presents we could fit under that tree.
Or inside it since it's hollow.
None. Since it sets directly on the ground. Unless you put it on something where you can then put the gifts under it. But you could sure stuff a lot inside of it!
I enjoy watching this program. It’s interesting to learn how things are made. I feel like I learn so much. I wish I could work in a factory. Where Christmas Trees are made. Granted the they are artificial. But their still beautiful and it doesn’t have to take away the joy. You get from decorating them at Christmas time. It just depends on the individual. Imho knowing I live alone. It’s no fun decorating a tree by myself. Since I would be the only one to see it. Merry Christmas Everyone! 😊
👍Cool. I always did want to know how the branches and pine needle look was done. I imagine that the smaller artificial trees for people’s homes are made in much the same way with some variances and different shaped parts that people assemble themselves at home.
Perfect timing for How It’s Made
You know because it’s Christmas.
how did i come across this video you may ask?
*its 1am*
that’s why.
meagan phan Same!
Same
I'll appreciate these even more knowing how it's made. Good job everyone!
i love how these shopping mall trees look nothing like a real tree. they're just triangles
How it’s made: “holiday air blown inflatables”
That’s really interesting to see how they build a artificial Christmas tree. I’ve seen workers in a hospital’s clinic building, where I live, put the artificial tree up. The tree is basically 3 stories tall. 😃
I bet the all stray cats will have a field day with that :P
...What?
@@DoubleDTVx2 Cats like attacking/destroying Christmas trees. So if they put up a tree in the town square all the stray cats will try to take it down or whatever.
89horizon OH, haha! Some may even try and live in it, as I’m sure the lights warm things up!!
So this isn’t the kind of artificial tree anyone owns
This a very interesting video, I was not aware how large trees were made. I do like are artificial trees, because of the the dry Texas weather. We keep water in the base of the tree, but with the heating of our homes, it still drys out and you have a real mess to clean up.
"if you want glitz, you can really go out on a limb." That pun knocked me out of the tree and I loved it.
Love videos like this. I always like to see how things are made!
Unexpectedly interesting. Thanks for posting
So clever and so much work goes into those trees. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🎅🎅⛄⛄🎊🙌😀😀😀🎄🎄
Cool, I need to fix my tree and this gives me an idea.
This is neat. I have a 6.5 foot pre lighted one and love it
Merry Christmas, How It's Made crew.
So amazing. Big thumbs up for the innovater.
Does the needle work still apply to cheap/standard trees or is it exclusive to time square tree?
Wow so every Christmas tree is made with love!
That factory is amazing, I was lucky to visit Carpenter's factory a few years back, there quality is the best, great video!!
"there" quality is great? Where? There where? _their_ quality.
Nice it’s Christmas 2020 now and happy new year to everyone
Merry Christmas🎄
I bet If we look up how artificial trees in stores are made that would take us somewhere
2:54my brain: put your hand in it
thats cool how they make them nice work
Someone:hey we're do you work
The workers:a fake Christmas tree factory
I love all these how we make stuff episodes.
Really fabulous
right on time👍🎅🌲
... and I thought polyester was just for pants in the 60’s
As a 2nd gen Christmas tree farmer, I’m saddened to see this. But it’s still quite interesting! Good times
watching this the day before christmas is a different experience
That is a beautiful artificial tree!!
Great job👍🏻
"...and the convenience is unreal."
Yes, it is literally unreal.
🎄 Merry Christmas 🎄
Beautiful. 😊
if you think about it in a very simplified way these guys decorate Christmas trees for a living
I find this endlessly interesting
I just love this show.
Happy Holidays Everyone 🎄
Looks good
very good . i love it. good job.
Nice to know how artificial trees are made!
How do they ship them?
Interesting now I can make my own
Thought it would be the everyday people buy but pretty much shows the idea of one.
sometimes we hide inside the tree ... ehehhe and spook my causins
I've forgotten what it's like to have a video start and end without commercials 😲🥺😭
Me at three am:I need to go to sleep
Scrolls past this video
Also me: ok you got me I've always wondered how this works
It's Christmas time and the algorithm brought us here! 🍻 🎄
love the trees, great job too I see, love xmas
So cool!
Fascinating!!!
A toilet brush company was the first to make artificial limbs for Christmas trees. It's pretty much the same machinery which makes those bottle scrubbers.
Can they remake one about the ones we put in our house (sometimes)
Merry Xmas 2019
Awesome
I'd like to see a tree for home use being made. Please do that.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
If I had to take this out my garage every year I’d be making more the Christmas trees !
Interesting to see ...Thanks thatwascoool.
what is the name of the productor of this tree??
For these guys the holiday season is every season except the holiday season.
Very inTREEging
I love this documentary!
Christmas 🎄..... mind blown 🤯
Mooie kleurcombinatie.
Now we need to see the smaller home ones.
This tree is a bit more industrial than I had anticipated “How It’s Made” would talk about.
That looks beautiful and no tree had to be killed to get it.
Was expecting the cheap one you find at Big Lot.
Cool tree
AMAZING. WOW
This is the way to go every Christmas year. It is such a waste of natural resource and energy to buy a real tree just to sit in a house for a month then to throw it away. It takes at least 10 years for a tree to grow 6 to 8 feet tall. It's also crazy how corporations are fully able to grow enough trees for millions of people to buy but not able to just let them grow to replenish the Earth's trees that have been cut down for thousands of years and to help the environment.
Brooks T. Moore, please narrate my life!
I remember when I was a kid we would get a tree from Ontario. I can still remember it’s good smell
Nahhh, I want to see the trees everyone has, that come out of the box perfectly once, MAYBE twice, before the box disintegrates from trying to shove the tree back into it to put back into storage.
Very interesting :D
4:26 what happened to the lights and ornaments
Fascinating...thanks...🎄🇦🇺
I always feel guilty about having a fake Christmas tree... Until I hear a fire truck go by...
Why are there multiple versions of this exact video exact script but different channels with different speakers?
