Well I predict for Apocalypse we will get two maps for the Canadians: Vimy Ridge and the underground combat of the battle of Arras. The others maps are the Somme, Caporetto and two maps to add Bulgaria in as the final Central powers faction
Super excited for naval combat, boats, islands, boats as capture points, submarines, dingys, grapling hook to board a tall battleship. The beheamouth could be a capture point. I’m sure dice won’t disappoint!
They should add the Canadian Ross mk3 rifle because it would offer something different because of the strait pull bolt and amazing long range accuracy, also the ross rifle played a big part in the war as it was the Canadian standard issue riffle until 1916 but was still widely used as a sniper rifle
It was a carbine length rifle with only a flip iron sight zeroed for 150m so scooching in that sweet spot or making it closer to the Gew.85 would be more mechanically accurate... Also the Italians learned the value of light infantry hit and run warfare during the mountain fights very quickly and the Carcano reflected this.
Tom Stark the Carcano should be a free DLC rifle. It should be an alternative to the Winchester for the cavalry class too since there were cavalry carbines configurations
this is beautiful! I'd also love to see the Frommer M.17, maybe as a pilot class gun; and also Beretta OVP as competition for the automatico. sniper rifles are truly aren't going to run out of options any soon, though
I want to see the Arisaka Type 44 Calvary Rifle added to the Calvary Class. The Arisaka Type 38 Rifle could be added to the Scout Class. These are Japanese Weapons and I wanted to see the Japanese Army in this DLC. Sadly that won't happen.
Literally DICE pisses me off so much. "We want to tell the cool and unknown stories". Give me a break, actually do it or don't tell us that is your intention.
Destroyer Gamer I could actually see the Arisaka making it into this DLC. I mean the Chinese General Liu Rifle made it in the Russian DLC, but you don't get to play as the Chinese. You never know...
I think they should add the Ross Rifle. It's a Canadian straight-pull bolt action rifle (Like the Mannlicher M1895) and the Huot automatic rifle is a conversion of the Ross. So it will be interesting to see another straight-pull bolt gun.
1.) Colt M1917 Revolver in .45 ACP (first time having a revolver firing a pistol cartridge in BF1) 2.) 1886 Lever Action 12G Shotgun (unique lever action) 3.) M1917 Browning Machine Gun (similarities with the Perino LMG, but higher muzzle velocity and different damage dropoffs) 4.) (Possibly as stationary ?) M2 Browning .50 BMG Heavy Machine Gun (not entirely sure if this made it into WW1, correct me if i am wrong) 5.) Nambu Pistol (similar performance to P08, if it was used in WW1 at all) 6.) M1917 Enfield Rifle .30-06 (5 rounds as a normal reload with 5 round stripper clip, ability to top it off to 6 if reloaded fully, similar performance to M1903) And no 7.) as suggested by a user here, a new Cavalry class rifle, the Arisaka Type 44 Carbine, for some cavalry variety (i hate the Winchester 1895 piece of sh*t xD) And for the love of God, DICE, let us customize the zoom level, sights and skins on the cavalry weapons too.... Like if you agree with any additions guys ! :D
They should've given the Pieper to Cavalry, it even says in the codex how the Mexican Rurales used them on horseback. And while the Nambu pistol heavily resembled the P08, it performed more like the C96.
well im sure dice doesnt realy care when it was put to service, for example, there is almost no detail on the hellriegel smg but it is in the game :D and the nambu has to be the worst sidearm in the game
The Real Potato Dragon yeah, maybe the scout will be themed as ANZAC similar to how Tsar's scout is themed as the women's battalion, and his French assault is hellfighters
Alex West What about the Gurka's? they are undoubtedly one of the fiercest fighting units in the world. They aren't given military rations, they are instead given live chickens to kill for themselves. There's also the fact we have their melee weapon in the game
Meunier a6 for the medic/ Type 30 arisaka for the scout/ Remington model 1912 for the assault/ 1917 Burton LMR for the support/ Bayard m1910 as all kit Sidearm
The russians bought a metric butt-ton of arisaka rifles along with millions of rounds for them (these were used to feed the fedorov rifles) so that could ba a justification for them being in turning tides
Hey Westie, here are my list of weapons for all classes that I suggest All Class Handguns - 1.) Webley & Scott Mk.1 Pistol 2.) Colt M1917 Revolver Assault Class - 1.) Fosbery M1891 Shotgun 2.) Greener GP-12 Shotgun 3.) Thompson Annihilator M1919A1 SMG 4.) William Andrews WWI Prototype M1918 SMG Medic Class - 1.) Farquhar-Hill M1918 Automatic Rifle 2.) Lewis Assault Automatic Rifle Support Class - 1.) Burton Light Machine Rifle 2.) Vickers-Bertheir Light Machine Gun Scout Class - 1.) Enfield Pattern 14 Bolt-Action Rifle (Britain's Version of the M1917 Enfield) 2.) Ross Mk.3B Straight-Pull Bolt-Action Rifle Pilot/Tanker Class - 1.) Arisaka Type 38 Carbine Bolt-Action Rifle I hope these weapons that I pick that should be added in the Turning Tides DLC when it releases in December so guys leave a comment on what you've think about my list.
Only rifle I'd love to see; The Norwegian Krag-Jørgensen bolt-action rifle. As far as I'm aware, it has never been in any video-game before and features some pretty interesting and unique mechanical traits. It was used from the 1880's all the way through World War 2, and saw use in WW1 as well.
My plausible List Assault -Annihilator (Trench and Storm) -Winchester Model 1901 (Hunter and factory) Medic -Farqhuar Hill (factory and extended magazine) Support -MG08/18 (Factory and defensive) Scout -Ross Rifle (factory and sniper) Wishful thinking additions Medic -Howell 1916 Support -Darne Scout -Gewehr 88 Tanker/Pilot -Steyr M1912 Machine Pistol Handguns -Webley Self-Loading
For another bolt action rifle, the Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889. It was a rifle adopted by the swiss and featured a 12 round magazine, straight pull bolt, and fired GP90 ammunition which was slightly less powerful then 303 brit. It would be a direct competitor to the Lee-Enfield and M95 as well as be a great rifle for more aggressive scout players.
We should really have less prototype weapons, Westie. We should lean towards putting in more common weaponry that's been overlooked tremendously. Also, I strongly believe DICE should have the ability for every class to have a standard issue faction bolt-action as an option. Assault: Walther 1918 shotgun Becker shotgun (you've already listed that) J.P. Sauer & Son shotgun (double-barreled) Beretta OVP Officine Villar Perosa (single mag significance) Frommer Stop automatic (with infantry stock) Winchester Model 1917 Machine Rifle Medic: (all self-loading) Meunier A6 Madsen-Rasmussen 1896 Mannlicher 1905 Support: Vickers (infantry?) Lewis Experimental Model (you've already listed) German Converted CSRG Chauchat (German captured) Scout: (MORE INFANTRTY RIFLES, DAMNIT!) G98 (with trench magazine!) Karabiner 1898AZ Karabiner 1888 Gewehr 1888 Gewehr 1889 (Belgian made) Mannlicher 1889 SMLE sawn (short barrel) SMLE MK I or II M1914 Pattern Enfield Ross M1910/1915 Berthier (series)/ Mosqueton Carcano M1890 Tanks/Pilots: Steyr Hahn 1912/1916 Luger Machinepistole (experimental machine pistol)
It will likely not fire at 700 and will have the 19 round drum. Many guns in bf1 fire faster or slower than their r counterparts. It could be balanced as an alternative to the avtomat.
Not sure what you mean by this but from what little is available, it seemed to have 20 round sticks and what is essentially a pseudo belt fed drum of 180 rounds. The drum magazine design in BF1 doesn't seem to have existed and some have called it a logical development that never actually happened. The Rigotti 900RPM [*according to wiki], game 300. 1907 Sweeper @ 700RPM, in game 300 Chauchat is 240 irl and in game its 360. Madsen 450, in game 540. Some are correct, like the MG15 at 500 and 14/17 at 700. Altering the Hill's fire rate wouldn't be too outlandish. But I seriously doubt we will be seeing a medic gun firing at 700RPM as the way that will have to be balanced would likely result in a damage drop off similar to an SMG.
Even if it's grinding the gears of History buffs (which I am also), this game is truly a blessing for gun-nuts. So many weapons I never heard of! Thanks for sharing those six, I definitely wish to see them in the game now.
Medic BSA-Howell m1916 semi-auto Support Johnston D-1918 machine gun All class hand gun Browning model 1900 Colt model 1917 Colt peacemaker Assault Winchester model 1873( because it could be balanced as I fast fire medium range rifle that would really shake up the assault class) Scout Carcano m1891 Love your vids keep up the good work
Since Battlefield 1 not historically accurate, then I wouldn't mind having a Thompson Prototype to be honest. We already have many guns that weren't used in WW1, so why not give us a thompson?
Moonstone Knight i cld give 2 shits about the historical accuracy in a game let alone bf1 which is already far from it. Martini henry were used in ww1 but for shooting down lookouts with special incendiary ammo. They were far from standard infantry use anymore. Still tho with how bf1 looks i wld love to see a beatiful 1860 henry ingame with the apocalypse dlc. Yea i know they werent used anymore but still tho with how beautiful bf1 graphics are i wld wanna see it. I doubt itll happen but i can dream huh.
1. Springfield Infantary version 2. 1917 Revolver in 45 acp. 3. Carcano infantary version and marksman version 4. Webley 455 revolver. 5. C96 cabine for cavalry class 6. 1914/17 pattern Enfield infantary version.
Actually, in terms of amphibious work and naval work they did. They took German colonies and islands in the pacific as well as escorting British shipping and protecting allied interests. The zeebrugge raid is comparable to the Siege of Tsingtao in terms of casualties. The Siege of Tsingtao actually had a lot of Japanese soldiers involved, but they invaded so quickly and gained the upper hand over the German and Austrians guarding to colony so quickly the defenders surrendered so less of them would die.
Sitting on Ceilings They only lost a few hundred men because their invasion was so successful. They surrounded the Germans and Austro-Hungarians so well they had to surrender or face total destruction, that's why they didn't take many casualties. Furthermore, Japan, being an island nation, had a wealth of experience and special training for their military with naval invasions.
The Turkish Mauser could be its own unique weapon. Change up the looks of it a bit, maybe change up the reloading a bit. Add a more beefier firing weapon sound. And boom. You have a new weapon.
I don't think it'll happen, considering they just changed the Ottoman SIR to the Gewehr 98 in this last patch...if they were going to include the Turkish Mauser, I assume they would rather have just waited until the DLC to swap their SIR from the Martini-Henry
You could add the following -Colt Browning M1895 aka the potato digger -Gast-Maschinengewehr Modell 1917 -Nambu type 14 -Ross rifle -Lee Metford rifle -Steyr model 1907 -Madsen Rasmussen rifle 1896 -Berthier automatic rifle -Burton 1917 light machine rifle -Chauchat 1916 and 17 smg variants (the ones pre ribeyrolles 1918) These are all the ones that I can come up with that spice up BF1 a little and in general just some interesting weapons.
Winchester 1892 carbine, im pretty sure at least one was used in the Zeebrugge Raid, a return of the mares leg? A Full auto Po8 Luger Artillery version could be added to the assault class the Germans experimented with the idea for stormtroopers before the mp18 came about.
For the Scout class, we could see the Winchester M1894. It was used by French, British, and American forces, and could offer another "close" range option for the Scout class. Since it has an underbarrel tube magazine, it could have a higher RoF to balance its' slow reload. And since it fires the 30.-30 roundnose cartridge, it could have a lower velocity and closer sweet-spot, say 30-55 metres.
Cyka Blyat all shottys are pretty much gettin a buff... Atleast with their consistency, all shottys will now fire the same amount of pellets & those pellets will always be more or less at center of ur reticle.
Jananese arisaka type 35 naval rifle(三十五年式海軍銃). Developed to substitute martini-henry rifle, this rifle was the first arisaka to have dust cover. It have different sight compared to other arisaka in order to be used in amphibious warfare. The most important thing is that it's 'naval' rifle, and it will perfectly fit the turning tides.
Its a pipedream, but it would be cool to see an entirely new class for this DLC, called a marine or expeditionary class, that would have access to the lighter weapons in the game, like the pilot class weapons, standard rifles, and shotguns, and access to certain gadgets like picking either medical or ammo crates, dynamite, spot flare, anti tank grenades, the new grappling hook, and smoke grenade launcher for the rifles, as that would fit with historically accurate loadouts for marines of the time, make for a very unique playing class, and add another level of depth to customization and use of otherwise rarely used weapons in the game. I would really like to see what the community would think of this if it was brought to the forefront in one of your vids, thank you Westie for continually good reporting on Battlefield.
Personally as a support player and a fan of heavy machine guns, there's 3 weapons I'd love to see make it in, I've written them up in order of personal preference. 1.) MG08/15. Technically this is already in the game as the sentry's primary and I know a lot of people will argue that the sentry will be nullified if we give the MG08/15 to the support class but I'd argue that it's the raw killing potential and ability to tank damage from enemy rounds that make the sentry, not just the weapon. The support class MG08/15 could easily be balanced as well so that it wasn't absolutely lethal like the sentries' one. I feel like this is such an iconic weapon that it needs to be added and it's kind of a bummer that DICE just bunged it in for the sentry and left it at that. Considering a lot of the maps we have in the game are set around the 1917-1918 period it feels right too since at this point there were 4 times as many MG08/15's in service than there were any other German machine guns like the Parabellum mg14/17, the MG 15 N.A. and the Madsen. as a little bonus feature too there's some really cool examples of MG08/15's with camouflaged water jackets and awesome looking engravings which would make for some really nice legendary skins. If people are really against the idea, there's always the MG08/18 which is a later version which had the water jacket removed but from what I can tell they saw limited service at the end of WW1 and to be honest the thing just looks a little too similar to the MG 15 N.A. for my liking but that's just my opinion. A lot of people might cite the weight as being a reason not to add it too but the MG08/15 weighed a maximum of 18kg whereas the Perino 1908 weighed a maximum of 27kg, the MG08/15 was also meant to be carried around whereas the Perino 1908 was designed to be a stationary weapon (though there are pictures of a modified one meant for mobile use). 2.) Browning M1917. This one's a little dubious since the full weight of this thing was 47kg, not exactly portable or easy to carry especially when you're running through uneven trenches and foxholes. As I said earlier though, the Perino was bloody heavy and was not meant for being lugged around so it's not as if it's not been done before. Other than that, not much more to say on this one, very iconic weapon that saw just as much service with the Americans as all the other weapons in the game and an interesting addition to the game and if it were added along with the MG08/15 it'd make a nice alternative to that weapon or the Perino 1908. 3.) Skoda M1909. This is a bit of an obscure one and not a widely distributed weapon, it's an Austro-Hungarian heavy machine gun that saw limited service compared to it's rival the Schwarzlose, I personally would've preferred to see a usable Schwarzlose but from what I can tell the trigger is a bit too odd and tricky to comfortably fire on the move since it was intended to be use as an emplaced heavy machine gun. The Skoda however has a very convenient firing mechanism and stock and technically could be fired on the move, it's also a damn sight more compact in terms of overall size than the Schwarzlose so I suppose that'd make it more suitable to carry around. The thing weighs a little bit less than the Browning M1917 at about 41kg so again, not desperately portable but again DICE allowed the Perino 1908. I personally would like to see this one specifically just because I feel the Austro-Hungarians could do with some more toys to play with in the support class, the only weapon they really ever used from the support weapons we have was the Madsen. Not expecting DICE to add all of these if any but it'd be cool to see at least some of them.
We need The turkish mauser 1903 and the carcano Yes we have the gewehr 98,But the Turkish-mauser use 7.65mm argentine (or 8x57mm rimless) which is different caliber, and should be there because Gewehr 98's were given to ottoman empire at the end of the war.
I was thinking of a new gaget for the scout class it works the same way as a k bullet in that it is separate from you standered ammo but fires a spray of bullets like a shotgun as soilders split rifle rounds to increase their effectiveness in trenches
Got the P14 Rifle, or even the P17 (more American troops had this over a springfield), Arisaka was used by the Royal Navy, even the Ross Rifle. The Mk. I Webley Automatic, adopted by the Royal Navy in 1913, the first british self loading pistol
Scout: Hanyang 1888 (Chinese 5-round bolt action rifle with en-bloc clip), Lee-Navy (American straight-pull rifle, 5-round stripper clip) Medic: Fedorov M1912 (Russian SLR), Meunier A6 (French SLR) Support: Taisho 14 (Japanese MG), Lewis Aircraft LMG (British LMG found on airplanes in-game, 97-round drum magazine, higher rate of fire than standard Lewis, but no stock and overheats more quickly on the ground due to no water shroud) Assault: Murata Shotgun (Japanese single-shot bolt-action shotgun), Walther M1918 (German semi-auto or automatic shotgun, 6-round tube magazine), Chauchat-Ribeyrolles M1918 (French SMG, 20-round magazine, same ammo and magazine as the Chauchat) Pilot/Tanker: Nambu Type 14 Carbine (15-round magazine, stock), Chauchat-Ribeyrolles M1917 (French SMG designed for tanker use, 8-round en-bloc clip, uses same ammunition as Lebel and Chauchat) Cavalry: RSC-1918 (French semi-auto carbine, 5-round en-bloc clip), Arisaka Type 44 (Japanese bolt-action carbine, 5-round stripper clip) Pistols: Hino-Komura 1908 (Japanese semi-auto pistol, relatively weak but used an 8 or 15-round magazine), Webley & Scott (British semi-auto pistol, 7-round magazine with 1 in the chamber, similar to M1911 in caliber and capacity) New Elite Class: Gast Gun M1917 (experimental German double-barreled LMG, combined 1,600 RPM, each drum held 180 to 192 rounds for 360 to 384 rounds total)
Exxonayr Which is not even the emergency service rifle, the 1870 Vetterli-Vitali were in service until 1891, but around 1916 the Italian started having shortages of Carcanos, so they rebarreled, rechambered, and added new mags to old 1870 Vetterli-Vitali and created the M1916 variant.
Canadian Ross rifle. British Navy Webeley self loading pistol. Also the British ordered a lot of Winchester 1892s for guards. It’s pistol caliber so could be a fun cross between an smg and bolt action rifle for the assault
Westie wtf about arisaka ???? Its not that slow. Don’t read evrething one Wikipedia it is not slower then the mauser 98. Look at Tfb channels run and Gun video. Bye the way it would be realy cool if they could ad the Sia model 1918 lightmachiengun that were used bye italy at the end of the war or the french darn model 1918 light machinegun though the darn model 1918 machinegun were to late to see use in ww 1, but i was use ww 2
List of rifles to add to bf: the ross rifle, the krag jorgenson, the carcano, the berthier, the arisaka type 38, springfield infantry, p14/17 american enfield.
Thinking of the Lee Metford or the Long Lees. It was in one of the concept arts and could spice up the Scout class a bit. They both fire a 210 - 215 grain bullet. The older fatter type of .303 round. With a bit of artistic license maybe DICE could make the chunky bullet a fragmenting round or explosion or incendiary or something of the sort. Plus that magazine cut off. Would be cool to have a feature to swap between magazine fire with lower damage or single loading for higher damage. Would be cool.
For the Apocalypse dlc you could think about the Gras m1874 which was used by the French army in ww1 and actually used the same round as the level rifle.
What could be interesting would be the M1915 Howell a semi auto conversion of the SMLE that never really was used, but it just looks pretty stupidly amazing and honestly could just be fun
oh the Webley Self-Loading Pistol Mk. 1 yes that is a nice gun. i just think its silly that the standard-issue revolver of the United Kingdom isn't in the game.
Thompson Annihilator and keep in mind Westie it was also used by the British military during World War II post operation Dynamo 1940 as the Thompson submachine gun but in game it would have given assault players another Hellrigel like weapon due to its 60 rounds capacity. Correction for the Lewis phase assault rifle is that the .30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge is used for M1903 Springfield rifle M1918 BAR & M1909 Benet-Mercie
You're right about some of them being more fitting for the Apocalypse dlc but I also think the farquah hill rifle could be added to that list and replaced in this dlc by the Turner semi auto conversion for the SMLE, also for the assault class the Stevens m520 may be a better option than the Becker, finally for a sidearm the Colt 1898 New Service in .45lc and/or Webley-Scott m1913 would be good additions.
Howell Automatic Rifle, a modified SMLE MKIII* that automatically runs the action. It would give the scout a second semi auto rifle, but unlike the 1903 experimental it would be slower firing and high damage dealing, maybe on par with the RSC. Also whilst talking about the 1903 Springfield, we still are yet to see an infantry version
Possible weapons:M1917 Smith and Wesson revolverM1898 Krag Jorgensen rifle M1917/P14 Enfield rifleU.S. Lee Navy rifle (standard rifle of the US marines during the Spanish American war and the conflict in Peking)M91 Carcano rifleCanadian Ross mkIII rifleAny number of early Austro-Hungarian automatic pistolsBurton M1917 LMRSavage automatic pistol (went up against the 1911 in us pistol trials in early 1900s)
I'd like to see the Canadian Ross rifle as a super accurate long range sniper rifle, with a high rate of fire because of the straight pull action, but without a sweet spot, like the Gewehr M.95
The Gurkha's would be a great addition as they are badass and undoubtedly one of the fiercest fighting units. An idea for firearms: 1. Webley Model 1910 2. Steyr M1905 3. Lebel Modèle 1892 4. Smith and Wesson M1917 5. Colt New Service 6. Enfield Pattern 1914 that came with a 20-round removable magazine 7. Springfield Model 1903 with a 25-round removable magazine 8. Nambu Taisho 14 9. Winchester Model 1887 under-lever shotgun; which would be interesting for calvary 10. Calvary Carbine Modello 1891 TS 11. Schmidt-Rubin M1889 12. Steyr M1893 Calvary Carbine I would like to see more options for the calvary class and faster reloading revolvers
THE ANNIHILATOR! I have been predicting this for a while now, i think they'll add it, it's too badass for them to drop it, although it might come in the next DLC
The Canadian Ross Rifle. It was not as bad as people say it was. The constant jamming that was occurring was caused by the British ammo being a tad bit different than the Canadian ammo. If it had the Canadian ammo then it would be amazing to work with in fact famous Canadian sharpshooters used this rifle and admired it. It was considered more accurate then what the British had.
Turning Tides DLC will come to the CTE for pc ps4 and Xbone *at the same time!* what a time to be alive!!! :D
TBAG [Epic Gaming], totally agreed bro! Good to see you here!:)
JP they are still trying to get approved last I heard. So they can roll out the CTE update at the same time:D
Pieter Tijs Nijsen what's up bro! :)
TBAG [Epic Gaming] , how are you man? Im good, waiting for the next stream of you;) last time was gooood
TBAG [Epic Gaming] Is it known when the new maps will be available in the CTE?
Kolibri extended
matysteven kolibri with a nuke launcher and 100× scope
dead inside 100 % REAL NO FAKE
Kolibri Extended Bipod
Liam Ambrose that the point Sargent
What are you talking about kolibri needs to be nerferd it's like the most powerful gun in the game not to mention it's an lmg
I think they should add the pattern 1917 enfield
Is anyone else freaking out over a destroyer, seaplane and Coastal airship being added?
What about the submarine? ;)
Jutland ftw
Joey Kevorkian i want submarines
Ya
Italian Carcano rifle?
Agreed
MR H Productions I think it's a little too similar to the gewehr M95 to be added.
Wolfoe 3604 how is it similar to tge M95
Wolfoe 3604 the gewehr 98, the SMLE, the 1903 and the Nagant are almost the same, i'd like something similar to the Gewehr 95
It's is in the files I think.
Kolibri with a bipod, scope and a 400 round box magazine
ThatOneDevastatingLeek "we're taking some creative liberties"
That is just insane but I would make some crazy memes
i like to see dice add the webley mk vi revolver as an all-kit sidearm
camrebori
Isn't the fosbery a variant of it ?
(the "automatic revolver for the medic class.)
camrebori isn't it already a Developer weapon?
Diabetic Muffins
No, those are the C96 (same, just for all kits) and the howda/shotgun variant.
The Webley MK IV is a lot different from the Webley in BF1. For example, the weapon can have a bayonet, and is much smaller.
They should really put a Canadian dlc or put the ross rifle
Shaheer Khan maybe in apocalypse I'm hoping to see vimy
ya
Well I predict for Apocalypse we will get two maps for the Canadians: Vimy Ridge and the underground combat of the battle of Arras. The others maps are the Somme, Caporetto and two maps to add Bulgaria in as the final Central powers faction
Body Counter these are just all predictions right?
You know the hout is a automatic conversion of the ross rifle, right?
Super excited for naval combat, boats, islands, boats as capture points, submarines, dingys, grapling hook to board a tall battleship. The beheamouth could be a capture point. I’m sure dice won’t disappoint!
They should add the Canadian Ross mk3 rifle because it would offer something different because of the strait pull bolt and amazing long range accuracy, also the ross rifle played a big part in the war as it was the Canadian standard issue riffle until 1916 but was still widely used as a sniper rifle
It is not related to the video, but any one else notice the "frontlines back to basics" mod?! it's fell so authentic and fun
Italian carcano rifle 4 the scout maybe a sweet spot of 150 - 200 metres?
Tom Stark Thats quite a long range rifle them I would assume
Tom Stark Hell no, too many hill humpers in the game rn. Better make it 60-110
It was a carbine length rifle with only a flip iron sight zeroed for 150m so scooching in that sweet spot or making it closer to the Gew.85 would be more mechanically accurate...
DarkInfernape65 agreed it could also then become the Italian standard issue in back to basics
periscope rifle should be a gadget
It is a gadget
Lol what you on about?
adzie 557 When wasn't it a gadget?
I meant periscope rifle sorry
Nudel Schnitzel no it was made a Gallipoli look it up
this is beautiful!
Destroyer Gamer Sadly japanese army will not be added
Literally DICE pisses me off so much. "We want to tell the cool and unknown stories". Give me a break, actually do it or don't tell us that is your intention.
Destroyer Gamer I could actually see the Arisaka making it into this DLC. I mean the Chinese General Liu Rifle made it in the Russian DLC, but you don't get to play as the Chinese. You never know...
Well Tannenberg devs have confirmed that Tannenberg will have an Arisaka rifle.
Destroyer Gamer I did 2
I think they should add the Ross Rifle. It's a Canadian straight-pull bolt action rifle (Like the Mannlicher M1895) and the Huot automatic rifle is a conversion of the Ross. So it will be interesting to see another straight-pull bolt gun.
1.) Colt M1917 Revolver in .45 ACP (first time having a revolver firing a pistol cartridge in BF1)
2.) 1886 Lever Action 12G Shotgun (unique lever action)
3.) M1917 Browning Machine Gun (similarities with the Perino LMG, but higher muzzle velocity and different damage dropoffs)
4.) (Possibly as stationary ?) M2 Browning .50 BMG Heavy Machine Gun (not entirely sure if this made it into WW1, correct me if i am wrong)
5.) Nambu Pistol (similar performance to P08, if it was used in WW1 at all)
6.) M1917 Enfield Rifle .30-06 (5 rounds as a normal reload with 5 round stripper clip, ability to top it off to 6 if reloaded fully, similar performance to M1903)
And no 7.) as suggested by a user here, a new Cavalry class rifle, the Arisaka Type 44 Carbine, for some cavalry variety (i hate the Winchester 1895 piece of sh*t xD)
And for the love of God, DICE, let us customize the zoom level, sights and skins on the cavalry weapons too....
Like if you agree with any additions guys ! :D
Chris S. I don't think the M2 was invented yet
I'm afraid the M2 Browning was only put into service in 1933.
They should've given the Pieper to Cavalry, it even says in the codex how the Mexican Rurales used them on horseback.
And while the Nambu pistol heavily resembled the P08, it performed more like the C96.
You nailed it Chris!
well im sure dice doesnt realy care when it was put to service, for example, there is almost no detail on the hellriegel smg but it is in the game :D
and the nambu has to be the worst sidearm in the game
What about the Anzacs ? They are weapons in themselves. I just want to play as the Anzacs.....
we all do
Alex West get over all i hear is anzac this anzac that just play the dam game
The Real Potato Dragon yeah, maybe the scout will be themed as ANZAC similar to how Tsar's scout is themed as the women's battalion, and his French assault is hellfighters
Alex West What about the Gurka's? they are undoubtedly one of the fiercest fighting units in the world. They aren't given military rations, they are instead given live chickens to kill for themselves. There's also the fact we have their melee weapon in the game
Laurence Chapman it would be amazing to have them in the game and yes we have the kukri in game. Maybe we'll get them in apocalypse
They should add the Krag Jørgensen
Meunier a6 for the medic/ Type 30 arisaka for the scout/ Remington model 1912 for the assault/ 1917 Burton LMR for the support/ Bayard m1910 as all kit Sidearm
The russians bought a metric butt-ton of arisaka rifles along with millions of rounds for them (these were used to feed the fedorov rifles) so that could ba a justification for them being in turning tides
Hey Westie, here are my list of weapons for all classes that I suggest
All Class Handguns - 1.) Webley & Scott Mk.1 Pistol 2.) Colt M1917 Revolver
Assault Class - 1.) Fosbery M1891 Shotgun 2.) Greener GP-12 Shotgun 3.) Thompson Annihilator M1919A1 SMG 4.) William Andrews WWI Prototype M1918 SMG
Medic Class - 1.) Farquhar-Hill M1918 Automatic Rifle 2.) Lewis Assault Automatic Rifle
Support Class - 1.) Burton Light Machine Rifle 2.) Vickers-Bertheir Light Machine Gun
Scout Class - 1.) Enfield Pattern 14 Bolt-Action Rifle (Britain's Version of the M1917 Enfield) 2.) Ross Mk.3B Straight-Pull Bolt-Action Rifle
Pilot/Tanker Class - 1.) Arisaka Type 38 Carbine Bolt-Action Rifle
I hope these weapons that I pick that should be added in the Turning Tides DLC when it releases in December so guys leave a comment on what you've think about my list.
i want to see a kar98AZ, fond memories of sniping players in other trench in verdun
DeathVulture lol that thing is deadly in verdun. I like the Bertiher
I want the Farquhar Hill rifle.
My plausible List
Assault
-Annihilator (Trench and Storm)
-Winchester Model 1901 (Hunter and factory)
Medic
-Farqhuar Hill (factory and extended magazine)
Support
-MG08/18 (Factory and defensive)
Scout
-Ross Rifle (factory and sniper)
Wishful thinking additions
Medic
-Howell 1916
Support
-Darne
Scout
-Gewehr 88
Tanker/Pilot
-Steyr M1912 Machine Pistol
Handguns
-Webley Self-Loading
For another bolt action rifle, the Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889. It was a rifle adopted by the swiss and featured a 12 round magazine, straight pull bolt, and fired GP90 ammunition which was slightly less powerful then 303 brit. It would be a direct competitor to the Lee-Enfield and M95 as well as be a great rifle for more aggressive scout players.
Paul Theodosis Γιατι οχι το Manlicher- Schnaüer μας;
Im sure any Greek would want to see that in the game haha
Παντως εχει αρχισει να μου την σπαει η ΕΑ.Και καλα ξεχασμενα μετωπα και δεν εχουν βαλει καν τα Βαλκανια...Ουτε καν την Σερβια...
We should really have less prototype weapons, Westie. We should lean towards putting in more common weaponry that's been overlooked tremendously. Also, I strongly believe DICE should have the ability for every class to have a standard issue faction bolt-action as an option.
Assault:
Walther 1918 shotgun
Becker shotgun (you've already listed that)
J.P. Sauer & Son shotgun (double-barreled)
Beretta OVP Officine Villar Perosa (single mag significance)
Frommer Stop automatic (with infantry stock)
Winchester Model 1917 Machine Rifle
Medic: (all self-loading)
Meunier A6
Madsen-Rasmussen 1896
Mannlicher 1905
Support:
Vickers (infantry?)
Lewis Experimental Model (you've already listed)
German Converted CSRG Chauchat (German captured)
Scout: (MORE INFANTRTY RIFLES, DAMNIT!)
G98 (with trench magazine!)
Karabiner 1898AZ
Karabiner 1888
Gewehr 1888
Gewehr 1889 (Belgian made)
Mannlicher 1889
SMLE sawn (short barrel)
SMLE MK I or II
M1914 Pattern Enfield
Ross M1910/1915
Berthier (series)/ Mosqueton
Carcano M1890
Tanks/Pilots:
Steyr Hahn 1912/1916
Luger Machinepistole (experimental machine pistol)
Farquar hill rifle,60 rounds,700 rpm,new medic hellriegel
BlackShadow652 I can feel the cancer already😂😂
the Thompson prototype would get spammed just as much as the hellrigel.
It will likely not fire at 700 and will have the 19 round drum. Many guns in bf1 fire faster or slower than their r counterparts. It could be balanced as an alternative to the avtomat.
DanMinigun MushroomCloudGaming if that is the case, why doesnt the hellriegel have the 30 round mag?
Not sure what you mean by this but from what little is available, it seemed to have 20 round sticks and what is essentially a pseudo belt fed drum of 180 rounds. The drum magazine design in BF1 doesn't seem to have existed and some have called it a logical development that never actually happened.
The Rigotti 900RPM [*according to wiki], game 300.
1907 Sweeper @ 700RPM, in game 300
Chauchat is 240 irl and in game its 360.
I would love to see the 1887 Lever Action shotgun in the game.
Anthony H even the shotty that as a falling block like the martini henry...i beleive its called the greener gp (cant remember the year)
Medic
BSA-Howell m1916 semi-auto
Support
Johnston D-1918 machine gun
All class hand gun
Browning model 1900
Colt model 1917
Colt peacemaker
Assault
Winchester model 1873( because it could be balanced as I fast fire medium range rifle that would really shake up the assault class)
Scout
Carcano m1891
Love your vids keep up the good work
Maybe the American Version of the Chauchat, they modified the Chauchat while they waited for the BAR shipments it shot the Springfield Rounds.
Westie really really enjoy your vids. Always enjoy when an upload hits to enjoy
Since Battlefield 1 not historically accurate, then I wouldn't mind having a Thompson Prototype to be honest. We already have many guns that weren't used in WW1, so why not give us a thompson?
Fuhrer Parodies I think the Thompson will be added with the Apocalypse dlc
I think so as well. I'm also hoping to see the Ross rifle in the Apocalypse DLC, along with the Battle of Vimmy Ridge
While theyre at it why not add the 1860 henry rifle, another single shot rifle or eveb a muzzle loader??
Moonstone Knight i cld give 2 shits about the historical accuracy in a game let alone bf1 which is already far from it.
Martini henry were used in ww1 but for shooting down lookouts with special incendiary ammo. They were far from standard infantry use anymore.
Still tho with how bf1 looks i wld love to see a beatiful 1860 henry ingame with the apocalypse dlc. Yea i know they werent used anymore but still tho with how beautiful bf1 graphics are i wld wanna see it. I doubt itll happen but i can dream huh.
1. Springfield Infantary version
2. 1917 Revolver in 45 acp.
3. Carcano infantary version and marksman version
4. Webley 455 revolver.
5. C96 cabine for cavalry class
6. 1914/17 pattern Enfield infantary version.
"They [The Japanese] played a big role in amphibious warfare in WW1" That's why they're not in the DLC.
Jacob Byers they didn't play a very big role tho
TheArklyte was that supposed to be a joke??
Battlefield has a bigger scene in Europe than anywhere else in the world.
I want a Winchester Model 1887 shotgun coming in a Sweeper and Backbored variants. Also a Cavalry variant for another option for the Cavalry class.
The Turkish mauser will probably be added also.
sounds good.
Turkish mauser = gewehr 98
The Turkish Mauser could be its own unique weapon.
Change up the looks of it a bit, maybe change up the reloading a bit.
Add a more beefier firing weapon sound.
And boom. You have a new weapon.
M1877
I don't think it'll happen, considering they just changed the Ottoman SIR to the Gewehr 98 in this last patch...if they were going to include the Turkish Mauser, I assume they would rather have just waited until the DLC to swap their SIR from the Martini-Henry
I think that the Webley Automatic Pistol might make for an interesting pseudo-skill cannon, or at least make CQC even more intense.
They got found it the CTE game files,
We've got
Browning M1917
Carcano M1891
Farquhar Hill
Mauser 1917 Trench
Arisaka Type 38
Martini Grenade Launcher
Really,
You could add the following
-Colt Browning M1895 aka the potato digger
-Gast-Maschinengewehr Modell 1917
-Nambu type 14
-Ross rifle
-Lee Metford rifle
-Steyr model 1907
-Madsen Rasmussen rifle 1896
-Berthier automatic rifle
-Burton 1917 light machine rifle
-Chauchat 1916 and 17 smg variants (the ones pre ribeyrolles 1918)
These are all the ones that I can come up with that spice up BF1 a little and in general just some interesting weapons.
Browning m1917. colt browning m1895/14
It could be used as a handheld Machine gun, after all John Basilone proved that in World War II.
Winchester 1892 carbine, im pretty sure at least one was used in the Zeebrugge Raid, a return of the mares leg?
A Full auto Po8 Luger Artillery version could be added to the assault class the Germans experimented with the idea for stormtroopers before the mp18 came about.
Beretta ovp
Other Ideas for Turning Tides and Apocalypse.
Assault- Furrer SMG
Medic- Madsen-Rasmussen 1896, Howell Automatic Rifle, Hagen Rifle
Support- Burton M1917 LMR, Dreyse M1918, Berthier Automatic
Scout- Model 1867 Krnka, Fusil MLE 07/15, Comblain M1870, Gewher 71, 1893/1903 Mauser, Carcano Rifle
Sidearms- Cochran Turret Revolver, Sawed-Off SMLE MKIII, C78
Pilots and Tankers- Doppelpistole m.12
Melee- Rock, Plank, Chunk of Metal, Fascine Knife, Push Dagger, Fist
Type 38, not 39. Sorry, Gun Nerd
Been waiting for this for weeks thanks westie
Do you guys think dice will realese the turning tides dlc by december?
+Capttully2363 It's due to be released in December :)
Westie oh, i thought it would be late.
I think the 12g automatic should be buffed
Cyka Blyat all shottys are pretty much gettin a buff... Atleast with their consistency, all shottys will now fire the same amount of pellets & those pellets will always be more or less at center of ur reticle.
Jananese arisaka type 35 naval rifle(三十五年式海軍銃). Developed to substitute martini-henry rifle, this rifle was the first arisaka to have dust cover. It have different sight compared to other arisaka in order to be used in amphibious warfare. The most important thing is that it's 'naval' rifle, and it will perfectly fit the turning tides.
give us the galipoli map from campaign
CARCANO Mod 91!!!
Ovviamente!
We need The turkish mauser 1903 and the carcano
Yes we have the gewehr 98,But the Turkish-mauser use 7.65mm argentine (or 8x57mm rimless) which is different caliber, and should be there because Gewehr 98's were given to ottoman empire at the end of the war.
Would really like to see a Norwegian Krag Jørgensen rifle for the scout.
Fedorov Avtomat according to google "four-dour of after matt"
Soviet Onion true haahah
I was thinking of a new gaget for the scout class it works the same way as a k bullet in that it is separate from you standered ammo but fires a spray of bullets like a shotgun as soilders split rifle rounds to increase their effectiveness in trenches
So dinosaur mode hype has completely died of in BF1?
Got the P14 Rifle, or even the P17 (more American troops had this over a springfield), Arisaka was used by the Royal Navy, even the Ross Rifle. The Mk. I Webley Automatic, adopted by the Royal Navy in 1913, the first british self loading pistol
I heard about the Barr with a Belt fed magazine.
Scott Wiltse same for the Benet-Mercie 1909
Belt-fed Benet-Mercie was only used in vehicles IIRC
How would it feed....
Scout: Hanyang 1888 (Chinese 5-round bolt action rifle with en-bloc clip), Lee-Navy (American straight-pull rifle, 5-round stripper clip)
Medic: Fedorov M1912 (Russian SLR), Meunier A6 (French SLR)
Support: Taisho 14 (Japanese MG), Lewis Aircraft LMG (British LMG found on airplanes in-game, 97-round drum magazine, higher rate of fire than standard Lewis, but no stock and overheats more quickly on the ground due to no water shroud)
Assault: Murata Shotgun (Japanese single-shot bolt-action shotgun), Walther M1918 (German semi-auto or automatic shotgun, 6-round tube magazine), Chauchat-Ribeyrolles M1918 (French SMG, 20-round magazine, same ammo and magazine as the Chauchat)
Pilot/Tanker: Nambu Type 14 Carbine (15-round magazine, stock), Chauchat-Ribeyrolles M1917 (French SMG designed for tanker use, 8-round en-bloc clip, uses same ammunition as Lebel and Chauchat)
Cavalry: RSC-1918 (French semi-auto carbine, 5-round en-bloc clip), Arisaka Type 44 (Japanese bolt-action carbine, 5-round stripper clip)
Pistols: Hino-Komura 1908 (Japanese semi-auto pistol, relatively weak but used an 8 or 15-round magazine), Webley & Scott (British semi-auto pistol, 7-round magazine with 1 in the chamber, similar to M1911 in caliber and capacity)
New Elite Class: Gast Gun M1917 (experimental German double-barreled LMG, combined 1,600 RPM, each drum held 180 to 192 rounds for 360 to 384 rounds total)
What about the Carcano 1891 ???? I WANT THAT GUN IN THE GAME FOR THE ITALIANS !! DAIIIII
Maurizio Naldi should've been in the base game
Exxonayr
Which is not even the emergency service rifle, the 1870 Vetterli-Vitali were in service until 1891, but around 1916 the Italian started having shortages of Carcanos, so they rebarreled, rechambered, and added new mags to old 1870 Vetterli-Vitali and created the M1916 variant.
Stiamo pretendendo troppo secondo me lo metteranno in bf apocalypse dove secondo me metteranno Caporetto e il Piave
Nonotom 2015 Minchia sarebbe qualcosa ! Ma secondo me non andranno mai così nel dettaglio...anche se la speranza è l'ultima a morire hahaha
Maurizio Naldi si lo so mica ci vogliono dei geni per creare un fucile in un videogioco
Canadian Ross rifle. British Navy Webeley self loading pistol. Also the British ordered a lot of Winchester 1892s for guards. It’s pistol caliber so could be a fun cross between an smg and bolt action rifle for the assault
You think dice would surprise us by adding the ANZACS like they did by adding the Russian revolution with the red army?
Bobafett 3820 nah, probably won't happen
Bobafett 3820 let's hope so a lot of Aussies and Kiwis will be pissed otherwise
I would REALLY REALLY also like to see some GHOST WAR PVP! Awesome, love your work Westie!
:)
Calle B by*
Westie has already played the dlc. Definitely. And he has never been wrong about what guns will be in a dlc. It's likely these guns will be included.
I hate glitches in bf1 they should be gone
selimcan dulkadir like every video games ever lol
You'll have to name specific glitches on a case-by-case basis. Programmers can't fix everything in 1 go!
Easier said than done.
List of rifles to add to bf: the ross rifle, the krag jorgenson, the carcano, the berthier, the arisaka type 38, springfield infantry, p14/17 american enfield.
RIP FOR UNPREMIUM PLAYER :(
Danny Dircio What is standalone?
MrAbds when the turning tides dlc is available to buy separately without buying premium
I was at tesco, (Wallmart, for the Americans.) I was looking for a headset. And then I saw BF1, with the season pass. For £30.
Would be cool.
hey westie can you please do more battlepack openings?
For the Apocalypse dlc you could think about the Gras m1874 which was used by the French army in ww1 and actually used the same round as the level rifle.
I’m a auzzie I wanna play as the ANZACs and all my friends overseas wants to play As them too DICE PLEESE YOUR JUST AS BAD AS 2015SWBF
Acidic Rain I know I wanna play as a Anzac not some bloody pommel I wanna storm the the beach like the real anzacs did
Acidic Rain does it really matter that much? I don't really care
We won't get them sadly but I feel they will feature one or two of Royal British Marines as ANZACs
David Cooke but why?
1887 shotgun, lewis automatic rifle, winchester 1917 machine rifle, police special revolver, steyr m1912 machine pistol. These are a few good ones.
I like turtles
toothpastaduck I like whales
i like horses
What could be interesting would be the M1915 Howell a semi auto conversion of the SMLE that never really was used, but it just looks pretty stupidly amazing and honestly could just be fun
I'd like to see the Webley MK1 as a new pistol. It fits in with the theme since the British will probably be involved.
I think you mean the Webley Mk 6
daniel whitehead I'm talking about the Webley MK1 that isn't a revolver. I think we have enough revolvers in this game as is.
oh the Webley Self-Loading Pistol Mk. 1 yes that is a nice gun. i just think its silly that the standard-issue revolver of the United Kingdom isn't in the game.
daniel whitehead That might've been the auto Revolver, but you're right if it's not.
What if the grappling hook isn't for climbing up things? What if it's for transferring from one boat to another by ziplining??
Thompson Annihilator and keep in mind Westie it was also used by the British military during World War II post operation Dynamo 1940 as the Thompson submachine gun but in game it would have given assault players another Hellrigel like weapon due to its 60 rounds capacity. Correction for the Lewis phase assault rifle is that the .30-06 Springfield rifle cartridge is used for M1903 Springfield rifle M1918 BAR & M1909 Benet-Mercie
Personally I'd love to see the Kommission Gewehr of 1888 in the game, albeit in it's re-chambered 1905 form that used 7.92x57mm spitzer ammunition.
6 weapons I feel like could be in Turning Tides:
Assault:
Winchester 1887
Medic:
Winchester 1910
Meunier A6
Support:
Chauchat 1913
Scout:
Carcano
You're right about some of them being more fitting for the Apocalypse dlc but I also think the farquah hill rifle could be added to that list and replaced in this dlc by the Turner semi auto conversion for the SMLE, also for the assault class the Stevens m520 may be a better option than the Becker, finally for a sidearm the Colt 1898 New Service in .45lc and/or Webley-Scott m1913 would be good additions.
Since the British Royal Marines and possibly the ANZACS, a possible all class sidearm would be the 1913 Webley & Scott SL pistol.
Finally! I've been waiting aaaaaaages for this video
Ross rifle with 250 meter sweetspot, and 40x optioned scope, as well as a cycle option for 450 meters
Lee Navy rifle (standard rifle of the US marines during the Spanish American war and the conflict in Peking)M91 Carcano rifleCanadian Ross mkIII rifleAny number of early Austro-Hungarian automatic pistolsBurton M1917 LMRSavage automatic pistol (went up against the 1911 in us pistol trials in early 1900s)
i suggest meunier a6 rifle,Hagen rifle, walther 1918 shotgun, Winchester Model 1901, howell automatic rifle,Burton 1917 LMR,webley revolver mk6, nambu pistol (and with stock for tanker class) steyr hahn machine pistol,Burgess Folding Shotgun, and arisaka type 38 folding carbine.
The Jorgensen Rifle would be nice. The US Army used it in small numbers in WW1. It's kinda unique because of its reload.
An idea for firearms:
1. Webley Model 1910
2. Steyr M1905
3. Lebel Modèle 1892
4. Smith and Wesson M1917
5. Colt New Service
6. Enfield Pattern 1914 that came with a 20-round removable magazine
7. Springfield Model 1903 with a 25-round removable magazine
8. Nambu Taisho 14
9. Winchester Model 1887 under-lever shotgun; which would be interesting for calvary
10. Calvary Carbine Modello 1891 TS
11. Schmidt-Rubin M1889
12. Steyr M1893 Calvary Carbine
I would like to see more options for the calvary class and faster reloading revolvers
THE ANNIHILATOR! I have been predicting this for a while now, i think they'll add it, it's too badass for them to drop it, although it might come in the next DLC
carcano rifle-scout
farqua rifle- medic
webley fosbery automatic revolver-sidearm
skoda m1893 or m1902-lmg
assault-?
The first shotgun reminds me of the Pieper for the tanker class. I think it could come as the pieper shotgun
With the royal navy coming I was thinking about the Webley Self-Loading Pistol since they adopted it if I'm not mistaken
