NaNoWriMo Begins! | NaNoWriMo Day 1 | Vlog 111 2023

OPEN ME!: NaNoWriMo has officially begun! Day 1 got off to a solid start. I had a bit of other book work to do, but then dove right into my NaNo project and I'm so excited! I ended the day with a lovely sunset hike, where I continued thinking about my project and getting even more ideas. I hope you enjoy! :) xx

Im happy Im managing to reach the word goal for the day set by the Nano page, some days Ive managed to write over the 1667 which is great for the days Im under and hope I can keep being a bit over for those days that are super hard for me to find the time to sit. Glad I made myself sit at my desk to work today instead of letting tiredness and youtube hold me from it 😅

I'm so glad writing is going so well for you so far! That's awesome that you've managed to write more than 1667 some days. Having that bit of surplus really helps on the days you just need to write a little less. :)

Love watching your vloggs and following along on your journey. It's such a refreshing take on approaching things in a way that isn't to stressful and oh man do I need it as well lol. Working on my first Nanowrimo and working full time as a tacher as well and balancing chronic illness XD it's good to not be alone

Working full time with a chronic illness is a challenge on its own. When you add in doing something like NaNo it's a lot. I knew I needed a different approach this year, so I'm glad you enjoyed the vlog and seeing me start NaNo. :) Thanks for watching!

I started off well with my official during the first couple of days of NaNoWriMo, writing like the wind. Then I got distracted by my spooky island short story collection that I hadn't touched in months!
So I added it to the Nano website so I could at least track my progress. My moment of magic: Finishing the final draft of short story #1. This is a huge feat for me as I've never written a short story in my life! Yay me :)
Gonna finish a few more final drafts before I start sending to betas for feedback. There are 13 short stories in the collection and I've drafted all except the final story which is halfway done.

Things have been a little rough here lately. Ed was diagnosed with MS recently and it’s kinda thrown everything on its ear.
I’m doing NANO this month but more for finishing revisions. It’s been good to keep my mind busy.
I can’t wait to hear about that new series. Sounds right up my alley!
Proof copies are new to Canada publishing on Amazon. Would have loved that option last time i published.

I feel like I'd be even more self-conscious talking out loud walking around my neighborhood. I should maybe try while I'm doing chores at home, or getting ready in the morning.

Again, late to the party but my first few days weren't the best. I got a lot done the first day, but then I trailed off, got back on track without getting caught up, and then proceeded to write just enough that I could update the count. I'm going for that 30 day badge. Hit my stride again two days ago, so hopefully I can make it to 50K. If I don't, I don't.

This NaNo has been a very different experience for me, so I related to trailing off and trying to get back on track. I think focusing on writing every day and getting the 30 day badge even if you don't hit 50k is a great idea. :)
