I love how this shows even this far back, the tholians are not to be trifled with. Even when outnumbered 3 to 1 by the suliban, they barely took any damage from their ships.
what dalage?!
That poor NX was so badly outgunned. Love that ship though.
T'Pol's butt really did work overtime on this show. Truly a work of art!
Her bumpers were myTfine also.
How "RUDE", Not even a "THAK-YOU", from the Tholians.
They are just lucky the Tholians didn't use the web weapon and get netted, and carved up like a holiday ham.
Nice to see the Tholians again.
@@johnbockelie3899 it looks like tholians only use the web if they deem you a real threat. if not they'll just shoot their disruptors at you only
@@joeswanson733 in "The Tholian web" episode, the U.S.S. Defiant was in their area of space slowly disappearing .
When Kirk vanished with that ship, the Enterprise was hanging out too long and that's when the Tholians had had enough and used the web device, after one of their ships was crippled by the Enterprise.
U.S.S.Defiant, NCC - 1764.
@@johnbockelie3899 also the Enterprise one shorted a tholian ship
@@johnbockelie3899, But canonically, we know why it was disappearing, don't you agree?
Yeah, they're disengaging to go bother my STO captain.
Fun fact, you can play this mission in STO except you are trying to find the pilot and the ship.
Just a heads up folks, this was the episode story line that was originally going to be used for the early RTD DW series and enterrpise crossover episodes. No, thats not made up, google it. This episode is actually so fun to watch when you realize the time"box" was originally meant to be the Tardis.
Nitpick but how can't they not target two guns enterprise has. We have better fire control now. Let alone hundreds of years from now
Tholians vs Suliban is the Trek equivalent of a wrestling match between Hulk Hogan and Steven Hawking.
And in the match, Steven Hawking strikes first by bumping into Hogan with his wheelchair which angers Hogan who goes postal on him.
One of the most import episodes for the future of star trek
wow a mission in Star Trek Online makes a lot more sense now.
Yep, that mission pretty much explained the origin of that timeship and what happened to it. It even had a mission when Daniels tagged along on that mission to retrieve that same timeship and you can see the same battle between the Enterprise NX01, Tholians and the Sullivan. Daniels constantly reminds you of not get too close to the NX01 sensor grid.
I was supprised that the tholians were able to damage the vulcan ship to the point where it was sitting ducks.
Tholians back then were no laughing matter
I miss this series, enjoyed almost more than the original Next generation...
Goddam i hate tholians… Those tetryon webs trap you in star trek online… Then they lock you in place with all of them using tractor beams… Its cool they’re named after spiders… Orb Weaver, Recluse, Tarantula
What's going on in the back ground? The most planets ever seen in one shot!😂
This needs to be remastered in 4k!!!
You could also argue that when in a situation, if the Captain of a vessel feels that there is a threat to him or his crew. That person will take every necessary to protect his/her crew.
Terran Empire knew better how to deal with Tholians🙃
I'll have to keep that in mind.
The Tholians are obviously a boss level species, how did we not get more of them?
Hey I was fighting a Vorlon ship about 5K kilometers from this battle…
THe idiocy of constantly waiting for them to fire first when you already know they're going to shoot you. So many probs could have been dealt with earlier if they'd just fucking SHOOT
0:22 I know it's probably not but sounds a lot like gul dukat there
The video title is misleading, as it looked more like the Suliban attacked the Tholians. Still I liked the video some good action, and overall I really like your videos in any case.
"The vessel with the pestle?"
No, The chalice with a Palace.
@@Apollyon67 No, they broke the chalice from the palace.
It's now in the flagon with the dragon! 🍷
The Suliban: A race that genetically engineered itself into F. Murray Abraham for some reason
what season? what episode???
Kudos to your editing!
Good luck Profesor
To me, the best star trek series
Tholians are nice, and their ships look like they could fly through the moon...
Archer what are you doing to get everyone so pissed off at you?
That ship! It’s the Shofixti!
confuse
this what happens if you skip all the game's important dialogs and cutscene
What episode is this from?
The Tholians didn't actually get the future capsule. It dematerialized, taken by its owner race from the future. Those Sulibans (as other factions) were Filipinos or became Filipinos who stayed and lived here in the Philippines. Star Trek wars and Star Wars happened here in the Philippines in the 1970s Cold War.
what season and episode is it?
This capitan is gorgeous!.
it explains how the Tholians got involved at the planets of the Lukari people and the Na'kuhl cause of Kal Dano's ship to cause the Cold War and other Events Detailing in the Star Trek Online game.
Don't make us bust out the Web!
0:43 What are those little streaks of light flying past?
Stars. This was the 1986-2005 series warp speed effect. Close stars were shown to be streaking by because of the velocity.
@@TromboneConductor767 Too small to be stars. Stars are huge. For example the Sun's diameter is 864,000 miles. Warp speed effect (length dilation) might squeeze them longitudinally but not vertically.
Stars are really far away. If we were to travel past our closest star which is 4 light years away at light speed, we would be turning our heads at a whopping 0.4degrees a day looking at the star.
Stars (stationary in the background) and irradiated particles streaking by.
@@Pavel_M_Mihalik Can't be stars. Stars are really big, like hundreds of thousands of miles diameter, and really far away, like light years away.
Irradiated particles. Please provide a link from a reputable source of science for the explanation.
@@georgeemil3618 Yeah…that’s why they’re far in the background and don’t move.

Uh, phasers don’t work very well at warp. Should have been a torpedo volley to start with.
If you think about it, tholian silk really is tholian silk.
Tholians..... damn punk rockers.......
The Suliban had their A$$'s kicked by the Tholians, The Tholians are Bad A$$'s.
Which episode is this clip from?
2x16 (Episode 042) "Future Tense"
Why does his ship look like Hallucigenia

Some of these cuts :/

Phasers don't work at warp speed!
No web though

Thanks 😊 🖖🖖🖖🖖🧨🧨the sulaban need to eat 🍪🧇☕🌨🌨🌨🌨🧨🥂lol 😆
5 Tholians ships could knockout a Valcan heavy battle ship 😯😮😲
Four.
If Star Trek Discovery Writers wanted to do something cool they could show us where that pod came from.
I believe it was mentioned somewhere that the pilot was in fact Kal Dano, who was mentioned in the TNG Episode, where Picard traveld to Risa, met Vash and was going after the Tox Utaht

This would be the last good Star Trek...it had memorable crew with strong personalities, everybody got the chance to develop their character, ship followed standard star trek ship development and interesting story where we had the oportunity to see how people react in tough conditions, learn and correct their mistakes.
This is why Enterprise failed. They should have went with species like the Tholians, Gorn etc.
I'd never make it as a Starfleet Captain because I'd be running shields up and guns powered 24/7/365 and work out better tech to keep them on at all times. Any intercept course by non-Federation craft means I beam over an atomic before you have a chance to state your business. Word will get around...even in the vacuum of space. Don't fuck with Captain DAVAD. 2 light years personal space at all times. Ya know? Develop a space rep. I would have used Jordi's Borg killing computer virus NFT without hesitation. Are you kidding me? You can kill the Borg? Hisnock those fuckers. Don't start no shit, don't take no shit, gonna sure as shit finish your lunch for you if you come at me. Suliban? Sulidead. My entire crew would be working with Malcom 24 hours a day to create a phaser array that makes the Enterprise NCC 1701-J, 'J' for Jealous.'
it's not thatt you won't make it in starfleet is that you won't make it in any starfleet other than a militarized one probably during the dominion war.
i doubt any real life military officer would be accepted in to starfleet acadmy. lol
Junky ship
I always laugh at how idiotic the writers of space sci-fi are when they show a space ship BANKING into a turn. And the "Federation" must be the lamest force out there as it seems 80% of alien spaceships kick their asses. I mean, for goodness sakes, they STILL don't have cloaking technology of their own? Or the ability to stop male pattern baldness apparently.
They didn’t even know that hostile aliens existed on Earth, inhabiting comment threads.
