Very nice demo video. No big deal, but since you mentioned the possible imprint of the tracks on grass, it would have been interesting to see how each one would have done on a lawn. What a stroke of luck that guy brought the Wacker for you to demo. Him doing that was impressive, he wanted his dog in the fight. 😀
I own the Kubota SCL 1000 and i own two Vermeer 925s and they are good machines. I run these in my landscape and grading company as well as renting them to people in my rental business. The Kubota is good for lifting and moving material but they are very narrow and pretty easy to tip them over. The Vermeers in my opinion are the best on the market as far as the pushing power and the hydraulic power that it sends to attachments. My guys would rather run the Vermeers over the Kubota due to the stability, ergonomics and the power. Vermeer runs a V1505 Kubota Diesel that they lower the rpms to keep it under 25 hp and it can move around and run the hydraulics without bogging down.
Great feedback. Honestly, it’s been shocking to me how many people like Vermeer. I really wish I would have given their product a try. I didn’t even know they existed at the time of this video.
Mike Morgan- Outdoors with the Morgans, is a Kubota guy through and through. He has a Kubota KX57, SVL97 and a LX4020… he bought the Vermeer Miniskid because of how powerful and stable it is. However it is one step up from the size you tested. I wish you had the Vermeer to test too. Great video!
1st off Wide Track is 100% the way to go unless you absolutely need the narrow. Which rules out the Kubota in my mind. I have lots of time on a Vermeer S925TX and I own a Bobcat MT100. Both come in wide track and they are so similar. I chose Bobcat because of local dealer presence and have grown to prefer it slightly. The Vermeer has the dual hydraulics which could be a plus for you. That is my experience, love both of these machines!!
And both machines I have experience using were stacked with all of the counterweights which definitely has an impact on lift capacity. Wouldn’t own one without those…. Good video content, good topic!
They are wide tracked it’s the stance that’s narrow but yeah I get what you are saying but for tree care the Kubota is perfect except the poly/fiberglass hood.
It’s more than just the wide track too. Wider stance is way more stable unless you absolutely need that little bit more clearance in my opinion. Bobcat & Vermeer wide tracks are pretty stable.
I have the MT100 wide track model. One thing about it is the track wheels are self lubing. I think they’re one of the only companies that offer them. I’ve had it for about a year and it’s been a great machine. Very easy to maintain. One thing I saw that I did like about some of the other machines that you previewed was having an external fill tank for the fuel tank. I have to lift the hood on mine to get to the gas station, which is a pain at the pump.
I have owned a Wacker Neuson Sm-100 for a year and a half now. Super fast and about 5-10k less than a dingo and Ditch Witch. I mostly use it to run buckets of dirt and gravel. I use a 54 inch bulk material bucket. I have no problems using it in this area. I have found it to be a little underpowered if you are using attachments all day long. It does have a wide track but the tread is very aggressive. So it rates a 7 out of 10 in this area. The Dingo and Ditch Witch turn a lot smoother also. But overall I love my Sm-100
I have the Wacker Sm 100. It's a literal beast out there. I love sprinting back and forth from trailer to dirt/concrete piles, and just makes the job easy and FAST!
i cant say much about all those brands but afther more than 20 years using the mts bobcats from the mt50 to the mt100 i can tell you that they are phenomenal..
My dad and I have looked at all sorts of mini skid loaders and ended up choosing the Kubota because of the keyless start and wide tracks. I’ve driven the bobcat and a Vermeer. Each preformed about as expected but overall I did like the smoothness of the Kubota best. The controls of the Vermeer are similar to the wacker and felt nice but unfortunately the Vermeer dealer nearby didn’t respond to any pricing requests 😂
Vermeer is probably the best but way expensive just got a quote last week for a ctx100 55k now it's 40hp but 55k is nuts. The sm100 is 34 36k . Controls are right on the vermeer and sm100 for sure.
@51:23 One small error on the Kubota SCL1000 is that the hydraulics are pilot-operated loader and drive control valves (meaning not electric over hydraulic - this is from their website and typically Kubota is well known for this style of setup on many of their machines). I own an SCL1000 and love the T-drive handle and right joystick for loader and bucket movement. I haven't had the opportunity to try out the others. I've only seen the Bobcat in person and to me I think you're right on the assessment on it, I also think that Bobcat needs to update the operator platform/station. It just seems heavily dated. Overall, nice review! Was nice seeing of all of the mini's together. I haven't caught any other videos with so many all being compared fairly. Would love seeing more reviews!!! 😃
Thank you so much for watching. Your comment is very insightful and clearly you have some good experience with these machines. Honestly, the Kubota is a great machine and I really have nothing to say negative about it at all. Thank you for watching, it was really fun experience getting to demo these machines .
@@capitalasphalt Also the delay in steering is from the rubber boot rubbing on the base of the handle. Not the hydraulics. I've been wrenching on Kubota for almost 5 years as a advanced certified tech. SCL1000 is a good machine but there are things I wish Kubota would change.
One plus to the bobcat mt100 is the ability to use stardard ssqa attachments. While the it is narrower by a few inches, the locking pins still line up with the holes on the attachment.
I would make sure that your dealer you bought your wacker from has performed all of its service bulletins from the wacker. I bought a brand new sm100 last fall, and with less than 150 hours on it, I had to have all the hydralic components flushed and replaced. My dealer didn't perform the service bulletins, and it caused me to be without a machine for the first half of my season. Main hydralic pump both drive motors and all hydralic components replaced and the reservoir Flushed.
@@capitalasphalt I hadn’t either but once I ran one and saw the price plus the components they use. I was sold. Self leveling loader. Bucket is included. Very torquey wheel motors. The joysticks are so smooth and have great ergonomics.
you can get a single joystick for the ditchwitch for the drive, i demoed the wacker and found in the winder the throttle and the key would freeze not allowing it to throttle up. Also was not a fan of the wackers parking break pins that slide in the sprockets, ice/ frozen material in there can cause issues just what I found when looking. As for the ditchwitch platform honestly we liked how it was open not slamming off the sides constantly, went with the sk950 ditchwitch with the weight kit and love it. Just my opinion but something to think of
Good to know and it’s nice to hear your opinion. I based my opinions on the very short demo time we had. I’ll be sure to make a 1 year review on the Wacker to see if we made the right decision. The Ditch which I will say you could tell was built very well. Can’t argue that
Great comparison on the minis. I thought the Kubota had it until the last test where the Wacker just took over all of them and apart from that it's quite nimble. Only concern I would have is the size of the bucket; that's where I thought the Kubota had it all over the rest. As you said they are all great machines but with discussions with your team, you need the easiest effective machine and service and parts come into play as well. Enjoy your new toy BUT does it come in BLACK!!???? hahaha
It’s cool you say that, I’m actually trying one out this week. One of the dealers that sells them, saw this video and asked me if I could demo their machine.
Vermeer CTX100/160 is the best mini on the market imho. Fast ground speed, solid build and heavy lift capacity. Hydraulics are more than enough for any high or low flow attachments. The bobcat is too underpowered. I love bobcat as a company too but they need to up the specs on the power. Trying to multi function is terrible. Just bogs way down. The CTX 100 can handle pretty much whatever you throw at it. Ditch which would be my second choice. They use powerful engines and hydraulics. At the end of the day it all comes down to dealer support but it helps if the machine is capable of producing. Just my 2 cents
Great video, i wouldnt normally sit through an hour long demo like this, but i did. I feel like you missed some details though-- this was a great demo as an operator but also missed a lot of details as an owner, like servicability (oil filter/hydro filter lcoation and fill etc), transport tie down locations, hyrdraulic releif valves for the attachment hoses, programable parameter adjustments (as on the kubota operator interface) etc etc. I personally own the scl1000 and feel like even though the sm100 might have performed better- theres a few details on the kubota (and possibly others) that could change the decion potentially
The issue with me with the wider track version is ultimately I don’t want the machine with any wider than it currently is. The cool thing actually about the Kubota is it has the widest tracks while still maintaining its narrow overall with.
The Wacker Neuson dealer seems pretty solid. Id be looking for the best dealer support and parts/ service support. They are all great machines but what dealer will be there to support you the best when you need parts, service, attachments etc…

We do have a cat next Gen 255, honestly the machine is really cool. It looks really nice on the outside. The cab is beautiful. But I’m really not enjoying some of the day today features and visibility that new machine offers. ( not a fan of the 255)
I don’t think it was a fair comparison because the wacker sm 100 had a lift kit and the other ones didn’t, also the ditch witch sk1050 should be the one in there and not the sk900. Also I did not see the mt100 picking up the heavy pallets neither the case, what happened there ?
The Wacker wasn’t the only machine that had weights. But, it wasn’t a weight issues, it was a power issue for some of the other machines. The Kabota was the only other machine that had good lifting ability. The bobcat wasn’t bad either. The sales reps for Case and Bobcat were not able to provide forks for the demo unfortunately.
Vermeer has the smoothest controls, but could be faster. Wacker has the speed, and fast lift and dup speed, however it is bad on turning and fine tune steering while at higher speed. The kubuta, wacker, case, and ctx vermeer all have over backward balance issues, and cant drive up trailer ramps forward without front load. So far none have smooth easy controls, good balance, and speed, all in one package.
That's what I was wondering the Toro dingo is like the OG tx-1000 is a solid machine I've run a tx1300 telescoping arms comes in handy when grading around pipes and
In Michigan all the Vermeer dealers are also Yanmar dealers. I would have guessed they would be trying a Vermeer because they have the Yanmar excavator.

I love all the information and feed back you have! Clearly you have some good knowledge and or experience on or with these machines.
Nice
Thank you
Price difference?
There is a price difference, but nothing significant. I didn’t look at the price before demoing. Just wanted the machine I felt was best for us.

Suprised your not trying out the Canadian manufacturer ramrod (leon) You'll find out that the yanmar is going to save you money on fuel.
Yanmar motors are great! We have three of them now. I have never heard of “ Leon”
Is the toro no go? Considering it is the original mini?
Great question, couldn’t get my hands on one unfortunately.
Narrow tracks are a no-no
Where's the Dingo baby?
That's what I was wondering the Toro dingo is like the OG tx-1000 is a solid machine I've run a tx1300 telescoping arms comes in handy when grading around pipes and
Wasn’t able to demo one unfortunately
You left out toro and Vermeer
Everyone keeps saying Vermeer is the way to go. Crazy, wish I tried one
everything is cheap in america but europe is way too expensive
I don’t know about Cheap. Maybe built cheap lol all these machines are 10-15K over price in my opinion.

I keep getting told that
me own case
And where is RED Engineering?
Not sure who that is ?
@@capitalasphalt @red-engineering
I cant believe your not testing vermeer (would be the clear winner) all these brands are inferior, the mt is TRASH
In Michigan all the Vermeer dealers are also Yanmar dealers. I would have guessed they would be trying a Vermeer because they have the Yanmar excavator.
Funny enough, the Wacker has a Yanmar engine. So you’re not wrong.
You are prb the 20th person who has told me Vermeer is the way to go. Wish I had my hands on one.
The wacker Neuson SM-100 would have smoked all of them machines as far as speed is concerned
all those hydraulic outlets near the bucket are a dreadful design--- the first time a piece or rock or concrete falls over the bucket, and it will, they will be stuffed
ill keep my Kanga loader thanks
I guess it’s something to be mindful of for sure.
Don't EVER walk under a bucket
Safety first
