What an amazing story about an amazing little girl and her family! I literally shed ounces of tears watching this Documentary. It is my hope that everyone will join me and pray for Meryland, to keep her safe, healthy and always have faith in God as she pursues her dream.
Top class cinematography and editing! A fine story of the power of family life to create greatness in everyone involved, including a young girl. And I don't mean boxing.
The production, editing, writing, directing, etc., that went into making this superb video is every bit as worthy of award-winning as Meryland Gonzales herself, and I can imagine that similar stories of persistent struggle and overcoming adversity must exist in each and every one of those who worked so hard to tell this story. It makes me both proud and hopeful to be part of a nation where this could not only happen to first-generation immigrants, but also be so well told by others who no doubt share similar stories of courage and determination. - j q t -
THE DESIRE AND PASSION TO FULFILL HER DESTINY AND HER LEGACY WILL BE FELT FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS OF WOMAN BOXERS🥊🥊🥊❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 TE MIRAMOS EN PARIS MERYLAND🏅🏅🏅
What 6 year old girl picks up boxiing gloves and cries to her parents to take her to a boxing gym? Shame on her father. Shame on the USA for allowing children to take on such injury. What an embarrassment.
@@its_ezralol I know you may have a smooth brain but you can learn how to box without sparring until their reach a certain age. Read that a couple of times before you reply. I know you are slow, but this isn’t rocket science.
@@djknucklez1 no I actually gave it a thumbs up. I appreciate the doc cuz it’s well made, but can’t help but feel a certain way, knowing what I know about CTE.
Beautiful story about an amazing girl and her family; very well done The New Yorker!!

Amazing girl and an amazing family. This is what the American dream is about.
Meryland Gonzales. Remember this name.
I’ll keep my eyes open. Hopefully see her in the Olympics
I don't see her as an entertainment object for my future enjoyment. I presume you don't mean just that, but it is worth saying.
YOU GO GIRL!!!

Hello 👋 how are you doing
TOO young to have her pretty head absorb hits.
Too young.

Kids shouldn’t be taking blows to the head. I get it’s a sport but she will be paying the price when she’s older. 😞
Can’t do boxing without getting hit in the head can you?
