I feel like she never stopped thinking Leonard was a great guy, she just felt it wasn't the right situation (which, right or wrong, is a perfectly reasonable thing to do)... and often times when someone finds new qualities they really like about a gf/bf and it ends badly often the knee jerk reaction is to revert to what you're used to...

If a father is ever like this towards a potential son-in-law, either the son-in-law is akin to the lottery or babygirl is dumb as bricks.

My ex’s mom loved me and I loved her. She was a wonderful woman. She would secretly tell me that she wanted her daughter and I to get married. My ex ended up cheating on me. Her mom has reached out to me several times afterwards over the years. What a shame, I really liked both her parents, they were wonderful people.
Even Penny's father appreciates what a catch Leonard is. Something Penny took years to realise and even after getting back together and getting married she still takes him for granted.
This is why father's are important in people's lives. But "no" we want to demonize them and praise the stupid "single mothers" that tell their children "follow your heart ♥️ ". 🙄
@@younglove3362 Actually, I feel like in many TV shows of recent years, it's often the mothers that are portraying the role of "being conservative" or "controlling everything the kids should do" and the fathers are the ones giving advices such as "follow your heart". At least that is the case for Young Sheldon.
That’s because the last four seasons of TBBT are GARBAGE. Penny became a TERRIBLE woman/person/wife…not unlike her actress. The one episode that made me want to punch both Penny and the writers (for being on drugs), was the stupid episode where she accuses him of taking her for granted, and in the end, the dumbass solution is a shitty relationship agreement that is never brought up again. Like, WTF? Sheldon’s stupid habits and traits are annoying as hell, and him being the solution pissed me off a lot. Also like I said, what kind of solution was that!? They don’t even mention it ever AGAIN!
Can I recommend something to you that I think you’ll like because unlike in the show, Penny ACTUALLY loves Leonard in it, and also, Leonard does something that makes an impact on both her and her family’s life?

Wyatt's hope was to see Penny move up the ladder and he got that when she and Leonard got married. By the end he was going to see his great wish come true. It's actually really satisfying to think about.

This is one of the few moments that actually show the reality of this relationship, Leonard is not lucky to have someone like penny in his life, Penny is lucky to have someone like Leonard in her life. He has a high decently paid job, he is nice, no criminal record, educated and her dad knows it, his kids were all college drop outs and idiots, who would not make in life past their prime. He needs Leonard to help keep penny and more importantly his later years stable. SO yeah like i keep saying even up to the end of the big bang theory, Leonard was too good for penny.

I love that Penny’s Dad liked Leonard. Leonard didn’t need to like sport or fishing or cars to impress him.
