I saw these games so differently when I was younger. Seeing them now I'm getting sensations of how I used to see things as a child. It makes me wonder if I should embrace it or try to move past it.
These games had a massive impact on people, thanks to their peculiar vision, and I see nothing wrong with embracing that which you once possessed. After all - there's no need to become Lost In It!
feeling the same here. We used to play this on school computers when I was 7 or 8. Not having a clue of the next step, we had to complete the game through many test and trials. In the end of the part that putt-putt saves the zoo, one of our teachers print out all the pictures putt-putt takes from animals on these small stickers ... gosh I miss those days so much!
Putt-Putt, Pajama Sam, Spy Fox, Freddi Fish, oh how I'd play those games over and over again as a kid. Which TV studio would I have to suck up to for them to make shows of these games?
Oh my god , it’s putt putt !! Lol I was watching some lost media/ old video game ice burgs and one of the cut screens reminded me of this for some reason . I honestly wasn’t even sure if this was a real memory or not it’s been so long . I’ve had the disc to this game somewhere over the course of 12-15 plus years & 3 Moves . I used to play this on our terrible dusty old dell desktop that ran on the cheapest phone line dial up in our section 8 projects apartment back in like 07 lol . As a 21 year old guy now , seeing this almost made me cry from the overwhelming nostalgia and feeling of lost innocence over the years. Seeing this Makes me wanna play again and actually be able to complete the game and know what to do lol
I totally remember all of putt-putt joins the parade up until that cow. I can imagine I never figured the horn out. I don't blame myself though. We had a lot of demos on my father's computer, and I could not understand one word of english. I probably thought that, well, that's the end of this game. The apple tree was fun though.
I had like every Putt Putt game that game out, but I just remember playing the circus one, and the birthday one repeatedly because they were so good and enjoyable. Peps birthday surprise always held a special place in my heart too though, because of the dog I had at the time passed away and I remember asking my parents if he was ever coming back because they didn’t want to tell me he actually passed away. I would always play that one because it reminded me of him.
Putt putt joins the parade was my fav game during 3 and 4yo and daycare days... damn... I miss it and amazing Im remembering things from that times seeing this now 13 or 14 years later here I am
Yet another memory that is triggered by specific words. 2003 pirates of the Caribbean for Xbox reminds me of the word “Loan shark”, Barbie adventures riding club reminds me of the word dusk lol
(Putt Putt travels through time crossover) (Crossover with Sonic and friends) Putt Putt: Pep… Pep… Me: Wake up, Peppy boy! Putt Putt: Samuel’s right, and besides, I promised Mr. Firebird we’d come over this morning so I could show him my history report! My calculator, and my Smokey the fire engine lunchbox! Funshine: Yeah, so wake up, Pepsters! Ryder: Yeah, and the same goes for you, Marshall! So please, wake up! Marshall: (groans) Ryder, please! Just 5 more minutes left! (Goes back to sleep) (Putt Putt tries to wake up, Pep, but fails as Pep yawns and then goes back to sleep) Me: That isn’t gonna work! Any other ideas? Frankie: I got an idea, even for you, Ryder! (Gets out a pup treat for Marshall) (As for Putt Putt, he gets out a pup treat for Pep and Pep sniffs it and wakes up) Frankie: Come and get it, silly goose! Marshall: (Sniffs it and wakes up) What? Is it breakfast already? (Eats it) (Putt Putt tries to lure Pep into his backseat and Pep grabs it, jumps in and barks) Me: I can’t believe that worked! Grumpy: Uh, Putt Putt, aren’t you forgetting something? Putt Putt: Oh uh, right! Here’s my coin! I better not leave home without it! (Grabs his coin) (Later) Mr. Firebird: Holy gas can! This shouldn’t be happening! (Time portal opens and a time tube comes out) Martain Kratt: That’s not what I meant! (The time portal then sucks up Putt Putt’s stuff in it, including Pep, Marshall and Oopsy Bear) Putt Putt: Pep, nooooooo! Ryder: Marshall, noooooo! Funshine: OOPSY BEAR!!! Marshall: Ryder! Help! Oopsy: Funshine! Help me! Chris Kratt: Nooooo!
So I looked at Steam one day and noticed that this game pop up there. I searched for it to try and remember what it was like back in the days, man, that some long old memories. The strangest thing is how different this game looks back then to now.
I was 3 years old when I played putt-putt saves the zoo, holy moly I can still remember I only played putt putt saves the zoo, putt putt joins the circus, and peps birthday surprise, super deep memories from a simpler time
God I had no idea this was a entire series, I only ever played the race one, and could never finish it because I could only play it at the library and they limited you to a hour on the computer. There was just no way that game was getting done in a hour by the underage kids that part of the library was dedicated towards. I think I actually got to the race part a few times but never won because of how hard it was even getting there in an hour, so great to actually see what the ending for that game was.
Great idea to give task to a random kid you met mr BJ sweeney, what could go wrong? He is lucky Putt putt is a nice car or else, the kid would probably stole everything or find a way to burn the circus 😂
Which game has the part in the mountain where some abominable snow dog pokes it’s head out of a cave/crevice in the mountain and someone’s voice says “Henry? Henry! You get back in here!”
That awkward moment when you realise that Outback Al is from the same part of New Zealand as all the characters in the Australian episode of The Simpsons.
Pep's birhday surprise is like Fatty bear's game but instead of a cute reference to Toy story, it's long and really boring; the voice acting is terrible, Putt putt has less energy than before and sounds like a girl, the song is not memorable. It's not a big adventure on the moon or exploring the Zoo. He's not awful but dissapoiting and not as fun as the others 😐
*what enclosed part of my brain have you opened*
Ah, I think they opened your childhood by chance
They literally found my brain’s landfill
My childhood right here

3:18:28 And none of Putt-Putt's classmates noticed that he left 1 minute and he's purple, then comes back and he's yellow.
Could this be a paradox?

just gotta ask - did you add the subtitles to the gameplay? Because if you didn't... *boy* did they mess up
No I didn't, it was automatically generated in ScummVM at the time (recorded back in 2015 I believe).
this is life
Putt-Putt for a future Smash game?
