Chex Quest did the same thing, and that's a now infamously nostalgic Doom-clone. Cracker Jack snack was also still putting semi-cool toys into their packages. Y'all remember collecting boxtops and sending them in for like, rudimentary audio devices? I got a thing called like BitClip, and that thing worked by playing... 30 second clips of a popular song, stored on a cartridge. I think it was like 20 bucks even with the boxtops.
I played this game religiously at the public library. And yet, even with the help of my parents, we couldn't finish Pajama Sam 3. Something about it was ridiculously difficult

Never managed to beat the game cuz I was stuck at THIS specific area- 2:20:21 Here, it just froze up for no reason and wouldn’t work at all after that. I never had the chance to fully finish it… Until today where I can finally watch a playthrough of it for the first time. Thanks ToughGamingGuy!

I remember playing this game with my cousin we both had the same copy and when he lived with me we both had computers hooked up and we both played the same game plus I also got the demo from another game I had pretty much every humongous entertainment game that they made

Play it off like the kid doesn't recognize their own parent, but Pajama Man is a mysterious character who shows up to lend help in various scenarios.
