its amazing how you can forget for so long the stuff that you grew up on. and then you randomly stumble upon it and remember it like it was yesterday. Such important moments in life, and I didn't even know I experienced it...
I had no idea this was nancy cartwright as putt putt in this one and the circus! As a kid, i loved this game and damn how come i didn't notice nancy voice
Best game in the Putt-Putt series and also the best mini song. Even though I haven't played it in years I still remember it. I used to have a lot of fun painting Putt-Putt as well.
Although I'm pretty sure Pixar doesn't know of this game (or they probably do but never paid attention to it), there are a lot of similarities between Putt-Putt and Cars, though they're all possibly coincidence, including a yellow car that is Italian (Mr. Baldini in Putt-Putt, Luigi in Cars), a car that got trapped on the moon (Rover in Putt-Putt, Impala 13 from Mater's Tall Tales) a tire shop (which is owned by a tow truck instead of the Italian car in Putt-Putt's case, while the Italian car runs the tire shop in Cars), a fire engine (Smokey in Putt-Putt, "Red" in Cars), a paint shop (self-service in Putt-Putt, run by the lowriding Ramone in Cars), and if you look up the unmade Mater's Tall Tales episode "Backwards to the Forwards" (included on the DVD), I can honestly tell you that it was almost exactly like "Putt-Putt Travels Through Time", with a few changes to the time periods (I got the information on the Pixar Wikia, so I have yet to see it for myself).
I love how all these games, Putt putt, Pj Sam, Freddie fish, were all about a goal for themselves but helping so many “people” along the way! Always so kind and ready to help wherever, whenever! Teaching us to be compassionate and helpful, to WANT to help. Ugh it feels like I played this to late last night and I’m going to be tired for 2nd grade shanagians
Oh my gosh I was reminded of these games and was searching for which one I played, and the music and sound effects of this one shook themselves loose as soon as I heard them 😭
Wouldn't it be cool if the H.E. all-stars had their own animated series? I can see it now... Putt-Putt's Adventures; Freddi Fish Mysteries; Fatty Bear and Friends; Spy Fox On the Case; Outback Al's Wild Safari (documentary). Any other cool titles?
It almost happened, actually. Lancit Media, the team behind Reading Rainbow and The Puzzle Place, had planned TV adaptations of these games, but for some reason they only ever got mentioned one time in the press and nothing else ever came up of them.
I wish H E would have made a game with Freddi fish, putt putt, spy fox, and pajama Sam all in it and they all had to work together and solve a mystery. If you had to go underwater for part of the mystery you would use Freddi fish. And somewhere in the game it would eventually change to all the worlds of everyone.
Wow this was put up 12 years ago. How I wish I could go back! This is saddening to think that gaming will never be as good as it was back then on our old parents PC using old versions of Windows.
Peanut Butter Gamer: (pretending to be Putt Putt) Wow thanks a lot! I like to thank Cartown for getting me all the things I needed. And Outback Al (flips the bird) good luck with all the baby animals. I'll see you all next time and don't forget it's not if you win or lose. It's how you race around the TRACK!!!!
2023 anyone? Working a full time job, post-college graduation and still remembering every little quest in this game like it was yesterday? Really didn’t know how good I had it as a kid…
This was the first Put-Put game I played so I see it as the first one somehow as well, I think it's the second best in the series behind Goes to the Moon, the setting and overall gameplay and puzzles were pretty awesomne and I just really loved it! Very nostalgic and masterpiece!
I remember playing this game when I was 6 or 7 and my mom gave me a plate of cheese and crackers. I’m eating cheese and crackers now, at 28, and watching this video. Such a strange feeling of deja vu.
I played Humongous Classics Collection, Putt-Putt Travels Through Time, Putt-Putt Enters the Race, Putt-Putt Joins the Circus and Putt-Putt Saves the Zoo (1999 Rerelease Version) for last time in the future!
It was from playing this game that I first heard of Nancy Cartwright. It was after then that I found out she was the second person to voice Chuckie in "Rugrats" and Bart Simpson.
I remember a lot of scenes from this game from the farm to digging the bones in the backyard even the car wash and getting new tires and reading in the Library how could I ever forget that race. and how long had Rover been on the Moon?
I always loved playing this I loved all of them 1 Spy Fox 2 Pajama Sam 3 Putt Putt 4 Freddi Fish Those were the ones I played. My childhood best friend got me into them when we were kids.
This game has good continuity: characters from Joins the Parade and Goes to the Moon appear here, layout of the town is similar to Joins the Parade but with a fresh coat.
I've been thinking about how Putt-Putt's parents are never shown, and how he always seems to live by himself (apart from Pep). I first thought that maybe his parents live out-of-sight behind his house, since they aren't necessary to the game, but even so you'd think there'd be some mention (like at least a comment about Putt-Putt getting permission to join in the race or visit Mr. Firebird). Now I'm wondering if maybe Putt-Putt is an orphan who was adopted by the rest of Cartown, with Smokey as his main guardian, due to his parents having been friends with everyone (maybe they're even the cars that make up the statue in the center of Cartown). And maybe Putt-Putt only lives by himself because he was able to learn how to take care of himself quickly and it wasn't safe for him to live in the firehouse due to all the firefighting equipment.
its amazing how you can forget for so long the stuff that you grew up on. and then you randomly stumble upon it and remember it like it was yesterday. Such important moments in life, and I didn't even know I experienced it...
My first videogame, when i saw it, i remebered everything

Ahhhh!! The nostalgia!!!

For a kid's game made in the 90's, this was REALLY inovative and creative for its time.
I thought it was the early 2000's
@@marcusblackwell2372this game was released in January 1999.
Best game in the Putt-Putt series and also the best mini song. Even though I haven't played it in years I still remember it. I used to have a lot of fun painting Putt-Putt as well.
I remember as a kid I loved the carwash, and did it over and over again
I'm experiencing some serious nostalgia right now.
Know how you feel

After that high octane gasoline, he looked like he just did a line or something man!
Man i feel old

mdief999 same here. I'm so happy the person who made this channel made gameplay...
I was in 1st grade 😧
Holy shit, talk about throwback.
This was my favorite out of all of them. I'm 16 right now, and it's been a 10 years since I pick up that old CD, man.

Cars probably got a lot of ideas from this game
Such an underrated game
It IS like "Cars." Also, I think Putt-Putt looked like Lightning McQueen when he got repainted red.
It's almost like Brum also.

This was such a sunny, happy game. Makes you feel good inside

"I don't poke cows! I just honk at them!"
Well, Putt-Putt hate to be the one to tell you this....but...
He made the hammer game look easy. I cant tell you, as a kid, how many nails i bent and how many hammer marks i left in the wood.
I’m so happy this and most of the other Humongous Entertainment games are available on Steam. They don’t make good kids games like this anymore :\
God this brings back so many memories..
Glad to find this again 💖
Coming back after god knows hoa many years. This game looked so fun when I was little just watching. Nostalgia and smiles all the way
I have this game. It is fantastic!
But fire truck can talk
I like the scene with Putt Putt in the car wash. Not only does he looks cute covered in bubbles, but it's amusing when he sings those song parodies.
Picking the vegetables is probably my favourite part of this game.
"It's not if you win or lose, it's how you race around the track!" - After attempting to kill two contenders on the racetrack
in 1998, putt putt entered a race, the 8 years later in 2006 pixar made a movie about talking cars, and racing.

How about Buzzy's Travelogues and Pajama Sam's Heroic Escapades?
Probably...
Pajama Sam: Helping Those in Need
This was my favorite PC game as a child. All was good in the world in 2000
The only putt putt game I never got to play as a kid, I should pick it up looks fun! Love to show my kids these games some day

The noise of the antenna and the background music is seriously hitting me with nostalgia like crazy
This is the first time Putt-Putt was performed by Bart Simpson.
Or Todd Flanders
Klook6950 “Aye, carumba!”
And Chuckie Finster's second voice actor.
You mean, Nancy Cartwright?
@@DennisTamayo yes it is Nancy Cartwright the voice of bart

18:08: He's enjoying the paint job soooo much...
Putt Putt was voiced by Nancy Cartwright, who also voices Bart Simpson.

This game was my childhood thanks for the memories :')
Not the pinball machine giving you hell 😂 I could never do it as a kid.
Anyone else find it amusing that Humongous Entertainment did a race game featuring living cars long before Pixar made Cars?
Yes I do.
Disney had talking cars in the 80s in "The Brave Little Toaster"
Yeah and they also did the cartoon Susie the Little Blue Coupe, but neither one actually focuses on racing cars.
Cars just stole the plot to the movie Doc Hollywood
@@DickFarmer21 and then Thor copied Cars

Considering Putt Putt's OG Voice actor couldn't play the character anymore. Nancy Cartwright is pretty much the best go-to actress to take over.
