  • Quincy Wilson is a standout 17-year-old athlete who has been making waves in the track and field world, and he just kicked off his 2025 season with an incredible performance at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix in Boston on February 2. Wilson, who is a rising star in the 400m, has already made a name for himself by holding the high school national record in the event.
At the Grand Prix, Wilson competed in a pro 400m race, and despite being behind a strong field that included 2022 World Indoor champion Jereem Richards and South Africa's Zakithi Nene at the 200m mark, he surged ahead over the final 200m to take the win in an impressive 45.66 seconds. His closing speed was remarkable, and he looked head and shoulders above the competition as he powered through the final bend and left the others in his dust. This time also shaved more off his own high school national record, further solidifying his status as one of the brightest young talents in the sport.
