Respected Sir @growhigher, #growhigher I really appreciated the way you explained the terms in this video. I have been searching for months, but your detailed explanation of each and every terminology while performing the analysis is outstanding. It feels as if I am learning from my college professor, bringing back memories of my undergraduate days. My guide took a month to get me to this point and still did not give me a proper understanding of things. I know I am not at a very advanced level and am very much a beginner, but I got the necessary idea I needed for my project. Thank you, Sir.
In seismic analysis, floors are acting as a rigid diaphragm. It distribute the loads among the frames. So, the normal slab or flat slab we are not defining the nonlinear properties (Hinges). Hinges are defined only for the frame elements near the ends.

Hello sir it so helpful and thanks a lot.
nice explanation sir.
Could you also make a video on displacement coefficient method analysis sir?
How about for the case of flat slab,
how to define the locations of the Plastic hinge.

But how can we do push over by only considering shear failure for beam and column (shear hinge)..???
You want to address shear failure? Then assigned only shear hinges, force controlled hinge
Please i have a question in sap 2000.How can we modelize confined columns(FRP) and define hinges ?
Could be possible through section designer. Redimade hing is not available, go for user defined hinges
Hi what is your opinion about analysis and design Slanted or Inclined column concrete in SAP soft ware ?
Its a concrete column, its analysis and design is possible. Correct modelling of inclined column is only a challenging part.
You haven't gone through AK. Chopra, my friend ! It has clearly outlined the differences of when Should mode shapes be used I😅😅
Please send me ur mail id i have doubt. Regarding p-delta effect
