Beautiful and powerful performance with amazing music. Feels like a beautiful dream. Smiling at the end. Grateful they have given this performance. AND THEN commentators with there..... that was so out of sync..... that was not a good performance .... How many ways can they turn a dream into a nightmare? By opening their mouths. At least the performance was talk-free. Would love to see any of the commentators even try to pull this off - or anything close to the talent, practice and dedication these skaters have given. Had to mark the spot where they start talking so I can watch this again and again without them.

Gooneyella, they split up, and Artur got a new partner and returned to the 1998 Olympics where he won another gold medal. I agree, Artur and Natalia were a magnificent pair. I loved their passion out on the ice.
In spite of the criticism by Bezic, I like this performance.

This is what I was looking for. Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini. It should have been a perfect choice, fitting for Katarina Witt's beautiful skating.
This tune reminds me of the movie 'Somewhere in Time' starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour. Oh and yes, I absolutely adored this pair.

@1manclcarter, I know it's been a while since you posted, but I agree with all your assessments. I do feel this program is a little flat, and I think Natalia assumes some rather ungainly positions. But they got their groove back for the 1994 Olympics. Saw them live in '97. IIRC they did highlights from both Olympic LPs. Very fortunate to be on the 2nd row. Just magical to hear their blades and watch them perform that death spiral sequence.
Did they do a reunion in 1997?
