It's only $100 if you trade in the flip 3. Slightly better camera and battery. Plus they are offering the 256g upgrade at the 128g price.
I have the s22 ultra lol but I rarely use all it's features the camera is not all that for me cause I barely take pictures I think I'm trading mine in for one 🤷🏽♂️ might seem like a downgrade to most but to me it will be something new and refreshing with the folding capabilities. also I hate how bulky this ultra is at times with certain clothing I wear.
Plus the upgraded processor is more efficient for longer battery life. There is a battery test on RUclips showing it outlast an S22 Ultra.
Don’t forget you get a case aswell along with 4 months RUclips premium and Spotify premium

If you want to keep your Fold 3 or Flip 3 but are jealous the Fold 4 and Flip 4 owners will have longer battery life, just get a magnetic or portable/wireless powerbank for it.
That's the new thing these days instead of awkward battery cases. Can even install wireless charging docks in cars. You'll never really run of battery life by charging it multiple times per day. And battery life cycles can last longer from shallow charges.
If my Flip 3 goes from 85% to 60%, I'll charge it back up. Topping them off with 20% recharges is better than if it's 20% back to 100%. Deep charges and even fast charging (due to the heat) are bad. I turn off fast charging on mine.
When you see the Flip 4 getting 25W instead of the 15W fast charging the Flip 3 gets, that's not exactly a good thing. Slow charging, keep it at 85% limit, and keep the charges shallow. Those tips will help slow down battery degradation.
All that you said is true. However I'm not convinced if it's worth it. Sometimes I was taking care of the battery in various devices, but sometimes I was a little bit harsh. The degradation in both cases is not noticeable, unless you are going to keep the same phone for years. During the 2 year cycle of owning a phone i simply cannot make a noticeable difference in battery condition even after regularly frying it with fast charge and keeping it at 100% for a night. Yes, it matters, but not with my device life cycle. 10 minutes more of battery life after 2 years is not worth additional effort and lack of fast charging. Its like keeping the factory plastic foil on a car seats. Yeah it will protect the seats for longer but come on...
I think it depends where you’re located bc in the US they’re giving $900 for trading in the z flip 3 and giving away credit and stuff so they’re only paying around $250

"Samsung added a protective cover" (2:08): Is this "addition" any different than the factory installed screen protector/cover that comes on the Flip3 (or is it not really anything "added" to the 4 vs the 3?)? You go on to say this cover is for "80% better resistance on the display." -- Better than what (better than the Flip3 cover or better than no cover at all)? Bottom line, this makes the screen protector sound like something new & different, although the 3 has this... And since this is supposed to be a comparison 4 vs 3, are these specific items that are described as "better than" actually improvements over the 3's pre-installed screen protector?
Please read the fine print. The $99 upgrade is only if you trade in a Flip 3 with 256gb. The base version 128bg only gets you a $700 trade in and the new Flip 4 will cost you $299.

Trading a Flip 3 for the Flip 4 with double the storage, better cameras, bigger battery for $100 is definitely worth it. If you think about it it’s less than $10 a month for this amazing upgrade

If you can't afford a phone from your own money and even have an active credit for your current phone, you just shouldn't upgrade. First pay off your debt

I feel like:
If you have gen 3 then no real reason to upgrade to gen 4 unless you live in US and can do the trade in program. If you dont have a flip/fold and want to get one I think gen 4 is the one to get since it is better than gen 3.
I've had my flip 3 a year and it still feels brand new to me. I don't see a point in wasting my time getting a 4 when it's not all that different to the 3.
Do spigen cases for z flip 3 fit on z flip 4?

Yeah, they do...I checked in the Samsung store. The only thing is with Z flip 3 cases, the flash hole doesn't line up perfectly with the Flip 4. But they do fit.

No major reason to upgrade from Flip3 as the specs are just iterate upgrades. The only reason would be that in the US they are offering good trade-ins to try and move stock, without these I suspect the Flip4 would be a PR disaster for sales. In their relentless target of making foldable’s mainstream, Samsung has to keep moving units even if they reduce the margins. Otherwise, it could be that foldable’s never really take off.
Def not worth upgrading outside the US, but deals in America make it a bit more nuanced. If you are interested in trying a Flip, they have awful resale value, and a good secondhand one is now under £300 in the UK. So a cheap way of seeing what all the fuss is about. That is what I did and having found the hype to be OTT, I resold and only lost a little compared if I had bought it new. Very niche and quite annoying for me, but well built.
@@chy.0190 Yes, for those that need it. When I used it I found that the Flip3 got me through the day with no worries, but I am not a power-user, like most Flip users I suspect. My need is 4 hours, though extra for future-proofing is nice.
Not gonna lie the upgrades are underwelming. Could have have better cameras and tried to reduce the 'gap' of when folded. The main feature i would have liked would have been a larger external screen

Got flip3, i like the phone but software sometimes bugs, especially google maps.
Would be perfect if cover screen was size of Motorola's. Camera is a joke aswell.

Yeah well not everyone uses every drop of storage in their phone. I never even ran out of storage on my 64gb phone I had. Hell, I have 128gb and I’ve only used 40.5gb of storage and I’ve had my phone for close to a year now.
