Amazing, and they went the extra mile to have a display back to show the tourbillon. Piaget making masterpieces after masterpieces such a wonderful maison
Monsieur Georges Piaget motto lives on... "Always do better than necessary." The reissue of the Polo 79 and now the Altiplano Ultimate Concept with Tourbillion, what could be better to commemorate Piaget's 150 year anniversary! As a watch enthusiast for over 55 years, once you own a Piaget ultra thin, no other watch comes close! Congrats and bravo! 303 components? Now that is beyond belief!
Well, well. first of all big congrats to Piaget! 👍👍 And then, one would be sure to hear some follow up news about Bvlgari coming out of something to beat it by 0.01mm! 😆😆
@@BobbyDazzler888 Yes and no. The one you referred to is announced yesterday. New world record for a mechanical watch. But tourbillon is a different story here.
@@alexp3752 In this respect, don't forget mentioning that the new record setting Bvlgari also has a separate dial for the second. But why consider it cheating anyway? How about the regulator which has existed for hundred of years in the mechanical watch history?
RM UP 01 beat every ultra-thin timepiece in 2023. Already in 2024, two watches beat that, and are world record holders in three categories: - Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC 1.70mm thick Thinnest timepiece in existence (at the time of this post). Also, THE thinnest chronometric certified (by COSC) timepiece, in horological history! - Piaget Altiplano Ultra Concept Tourbillon 2.0 mm Thinnest tourbillon timepiece in existence (at the time of this post).
The Bulgari thin watch is not attractive. Because of that awful huge QR code that literally is the largest design element on that watch! How can they do that?! It’s a really bad idea. It overtakes everything on the watch so that you end up looking at that QR code! Why this new Piaget is SO much better. The best one now of all the super thin watches.

Bvlgari watch has 2 separate hour and minute hands, not integrated. Sorry, no cheating!

is this automatic or manual wind?
Manual winding
don't show how to wind / set the time?
But isnt the Richard Mille RM UP 01 thinner at 1.75 mm?
RM does not have a Tourbillon....

fabulous. knocks out bulgari by a mile, which is still comically large
Bulgari just released world’s thinnest mechanical overtaking RM. 😊
@@BobbyDazzler888 both of which are comically large. when i say large, i mean LxW, not T. piaget nailed all 3. far better than the other 2.
Bulgari is actually smaller....40 mil
@@donjuan150 oh yeah! just looked it up. anw, tried on the octo some time ago, very uncomfy, imo. lugs dug in too hard. piaget more subtle.
@@dbsurtanicolorsnscent386 Yes much more subtle in case design.
Just make a good watch that people can afford. I have been collecting watches for 30 years and I doubt I will ever see anyone wearing this watch.
