GS is great but it has gotten too expensive over time. With 9-10K, id rather get a solid Omega Speedmaster or Seamaster. Add 1-2K more and you can get a Rolex Submariner or a Yachtmaster
@@mysterio5837 As they say, you get what you pay for. The way I look at it is GS represents value which savvy collectors can benefit from. Rolex and Omega make solid watches, but they are what they are because of their immense marketing budgets not because they are innovating. GS however is at a different technological and artistic level and being such might not be for everyone. It is intriguing though that the brand attracts a very strong following which makes it a commercial success. When people vote with their wallets it is hard to argue. A large part of the watch enthusiast community looks at Grand Seiko as a brand of the future.
@@mysterio5837Their prices reflect the increase in quality as well unlike other brands. You shouldn't compare an Evo9 (9SA5, 9R31, 9RA2 etc.) Grand Seiko to any Rolex or omega. Their movements rival JLC, Glashutte Original, AP (their finishing sucks) and much more. If you're talking masterpieces, they go to the stratosphere in quality and rival Duffour, Laurant Ferrier and Debithune.
Grand Seiko is manned by passionate human beings. Rolex is manned by a accountants, wealth managers and technicians tuning robots. Very efficient robots, mind you.
Naito-san, this year I turn 50 and I am gifting myself a Grand Seiko which I know will be proudly worn by me, my children and hopefully my grandchildren. Please thank your team for the incredible work they do.
This video reinforced why I love the brand so much and made me feel proud in owning my GS watches. I have the utmost respect to GS and there is no other brand like it. GS leaves everyone behind including Patek and all those giants who might be more complicated but don’t invest even 10% of the attention and commitment of GS. Is just miraculous.
A few years ago I sold my Nautilus as it was becoming uncomfortable to wear (a status symbol and way overpriced on the secondary market). And I discovered Grand Seiko after having collected Seiko divers for years. I will never go back. I own 5 modern GS and a few vintage ones. With these releases I’m afraid I won’t be able to stop, especially as I visited the Shizukuishi studio last week. Congratulations for keeping the genuine pursuit of horological perfection alive, and for an outstanding, very Japanese, perfect video.
This is INCREDIBLE. The romance and the elegant presentation of their natural inspiration blending into the design of the watch to put us into the designers mind?!?! WHAT?!?!?! This format NEEDS to be a mainstay in the Grand Seiko marketing strategy. It turns their nicknames and descriptions from cheesy overused stories to a beautiful ribbon of horological poetry that you can see and feel. I desperately want to make the pilgrimage to Japan to buy a 9SA4 watch from their flagship store now.
Thank you for this amazing presentation, Naito-San. I really appreciate Grand Seiko's attention to detail and commitment to quality. I'm motivated to respect the time, spend the time wisely, and do well to earn a GS soon.
The mix of the GS44 cases and the 9S movement is truly next level stuff. Combined with nature-based dials (and now wag-tail movements), Grand Seiko is once again leaving European horology in the dust. This presentation by Naito is very impressive, as are the new design choices. Birch bark reads better than birch forests and many of us welcome the less amputated E9 hour hand. Grand Seiko does not always hit the mark the first time -- but they iterate much faster than most Swiss brands can.
Even though GS are trying new technology and new things, all the time, their foundations with links to nature, craftsmanship and objects having more than just function, it's awe inspiring.
Grand Seiko is the greatest watch-brand. The technological innovations & unique aesthetic beauty is second to none. I had the privilege of visiting Wako Ginza and purchasing the SBGA375 last year. Every morning, there is a huge sense of pride and honour when I wear it on my wrist. Naito-san sir, congratulations on the outstanding 2024 releases
Thank you very much for this presentation! In 2023 I was lucky enough to visit this horological landmark, the Seiko House Ginza in Tokyo, myself! There are some great new achievements for Grand Seiko as the most elegant handwound pieces always lacked a bit of refinement due to their case thickness. The new 9SA4 calibre will be a game changer for future Seiko dress watch releases! The new SLGW003G is only 10.0mm thick!
I knew I made the right decision on purchasing my 1st GS, then followed by a second. I enjoy the quality and value every time I look at it on my wrist and hope to one day acquire my grail GS model. Keep it up and keep improving.
I went to the Seiko building featured here, in January. I wish on the floor with the more historic GS stuff shown in this video, that we were allowed to take photos. It was a really cool place that I would like to look back on. Maybe in the future.
Congratulations President Naito-san, and your colleagues. The watches look fantastic. I hope to own a traditional Japanese watch to complement my Japanese fountain pens.
Exactly what I predicted and what I wanted .... But that Kodo was certainly a surprise! So stunning I might cry. Please put the 9sa4 in a grand Seiko first case. That's an instant buy for me.
hand wind birch - a winner! The color changing GMT chrono is fantastic - love to see on more watches. Also hope Kodo is made in greater numbers and lower prices soon!
Way, way more thrilling than what Rolex is introducing. Not even close. Grand Seiko is becoming the new benchmark in watch design and innovation!

I love GS, but I dont understand the need to constantly validate what Seiko is doing by shitting on Rolex or saying it's better.....
Incredible releases again, and what a phenomenal presentation by Mr. Naito! Love the wagtail bird in the winding mechanism❤

Please thank your team for the incredible work they do.
Congrats! 🥳🥳🥳🙏
Year it proudly and share a picture on your wrist when you have time. Best of luck.
One day, when I'm successful, I will own a seiko, and if I do really well, a grand seiko
Me too, I want a Grand Seiko someday
Excellent goals. Wish you great success!
Skip the seiko. My watch gains a minute a day in less than 4 mths of owning it
@louislaw85 get it regulated? Or leave the watch on its side (crown facing up) overnight which should slow it right down
@@iain772 thanks for the tip, I'll try that out!
Congratulations to the team at Grand Seiko. Beautifully executed watches.

Love the bird like part inside the watch. Well done!

From Marseille France, Thank for this great presentation..Wonderful Garde -temps from Seikosha.".Domo arigato" President Akio Naîto and your team.🙏🍾🥂
The changing red dial is amazing ❤
Grand Seiko is the company that got me into watches in 2019.
Thank you, President Akio Naito and Grand Seiko, for showing us the Grand Seiko story and the latest superlative creations from Grand Seiko.
9SA4 is ridiculous, that is the coolest winding mechanism I’ve seen in a watch.
The color changing red dial in a heritage style, time only watch would be magnificent.
One of the best watch presentations ever.
So proud to be a GS owner, what an amazing brand to be apart of!
Amazing. The story behind them is what always makes me fall in love with the pieces.
Respect from sudan, africa for your relatively affordable masterpieces .

Patiently waiting for my Lion to come in. It’s going to be amazing to stare at that dial.
Congratulations to the team and Mr. Naito on the beautiful watches and presentation. Keep up the excellent work! Regards from Vancouver Canada.
Another superb presentation of the new Grand Seiko lineup for 2024. Many thanks!

GS really has become the Lexus of watches ⌚. And I mean that in the best way possible.
The bird brought me to tears. What an incredible company.

I'll never be able to afford a Grand Seiko, but I am so happy they are there for me to appreciate
GS wins the best release presentation. Simply outstanding.

This video is charming AF!
That click spring ❤😍
kodo is truly masterpiece!!!
Amazing. I cannot wait until I get my first GS piece.
Beautiful presentation! I can’t wait to finally buy my first GS once I get more than enough money left over to spend.
The strap on the new Constant Force looks like a toasted tortilla.
Outstanding. All of it.
This is beautiful… Thank you 🙏
Some brands don't NEED to promote themselves, it's a mere formality. Grand Seiko is one of them.
I went to the Seiko building featured here, in January. I wish on the floor with the more historic GS stuff shown in this video, that we were allowed to take photos. It was a really cool place that I would like to look back on. Maybe in the future.
The click spring on the 9SA4 is awesome. Its one of those perpetual pecking birds, really cool touch. Fantastic video.
I hold a grand seiko in city for a while it was sale teddy b learning how it works here in RUclips must say Bravissimo ☆☆☆☆☆
Fantastic video. Amazing brand.
Wow! I was enamored with GS before but now I'm in love the new designs. Home run!
Wow, I cannot wait for the color change dial with the manual wind 9S movement. I’ll be first in line for that one.
That new Kodo is amazing
Thank you for the SBGJ273. I love it!!
Stunning watches, i have a handful of seiko 5’s but hope to own one of the GS eventually….

Congratulations President Naito-san, and your colleagues. The watches look fantastic. I hope to own a traditional Japanese watch to complement my Japanese fountain pens.
Proud owner of a GS SBGA415. My first purchase into the world of luxury watches.
Perfection 💎
Bravo!
I'm looking forward to owning a GS timepiece.
They're so beautiful
Buy a Rolex to impress others, buy a GS to impress yourself. I am a proud GS owner.
that tourbillon piece is a work of art. if i had the means, i'd choose that over any other high end watch in its category.
most under rated quality craftsmanship on earth
Beautiful watches
Unmatched quality
Amazing new watches. GS at its best.
Exactly what I predicted and what I wanted .... But that Kodo was certainly a surprise! So stunning I might cry. Please put the 9sa4 in a grand Seiko first case. That's an instant buy for me.
Incredible releases, I feel SLGW003 is going to be very popular with those who wanted the Birch / Lake Suwa models but found them a tad too big.
Way better than Rolex releases
Yea idk what they were thinking lol
@@Unlucky1776 true, they should just have release vintage design with modern aesthetics. The Deepsea Blue Gold looks like an Invicta homage. 😂
@@kta_0187 yea unironically too lmao. It's actually kinda sad
Fantastic watches, love to get one someday.
Really amazing
New history of Grand Seiko is opened. Japanese people are glad to see this moment.
Seiko will always be number 1. Change my mind.
Que simpático el señor Naito. Son relojes que no voy a poder comprar en mi vida pero siempre son bonitos de ver.
hand wind birch - a winner! The color changing GMT chrono is fantastic - love to see on more watches. Also hope Kodo is made in greater numbers and lower prices soon!
Wish one day can buy grande seiko
I’m going to get one of these.
