I have been visiting San Jose for 27 yrs and lived on the East Cape for almost 8 yrs and never knew Jorge's was there. It is now a must visit but the tasting will have to wait until my daughter in law comes to visit. She is a Tequilaholic.

OMGOSH love margaritas! I'm into the Blue Zones of longevity so I only drink one a day, nooo I don't but they suggest only one for women 2 for men per day at most.....
Alcohol drinks, I'm talking about. Check out the blue Zones!!

The tour sounds so great! Will add it to my Mexico list. What did happen to the factory? I know you have mentioned aguachile a few times, but it finally sunk in it isn’t a spicy water but a food dish. Looked it up, seems yummy.
You walked right in front of my house in the last part of this video. Made me feel nostalgic. I think you would enjoy Las Cazuelas del Don (magisterial neighborhood, 5-minute drive from downtown SJ). They do cooking classes too and their food is inexpensive and delicious. Must also try El Marinero Borracho by the San Jose Marina, before getting to El Ganzo. Delicious ceviches and seafood. i love this place, it´s so Baja.
I think this is next to Malachi Cuervo's place (Chato's)... I believe the same family!
We did not get to visit this year because of covid, but Chato's is a regular place for us!!
We cant wait to get back this year!

I drank Hornito and Jose Cuervo in California for decades but here in Mexico Centanario is the greatest every occasion, respectable tequila- Everything I love is better in Mexico- corn, chocolate, melons, beans, tequila....!
I had centenarian for the first time a couple months ago and it is amazing, a great tequila!

Looks delicious, How long was the tasting? It seemed like a lot of food, I was getting full just watching 😲
We had a meal afterwards, that wasn't part of the tasting. The tasting itself is about an hour and includes three small snacks.
I got a beef with Jose. Because of him I have gotten alcohol poisoning, countless blackouts, and a facial scar.
Like, dude, I never even met him. Why does he hate me?
What was the name of the tequila liquor you had at the end?

Jose Cuervo Labastida died and left Tequila Cuervo to his Widow Ana Gonzalez Rubio after her death in 1934, inherited the Estare to her nice Guadalupe Gallardo who died in 1966, and left the Estato to her sister Virgina Gallardo one of her sons Juan Domingo Beckman Gallardo and his son inherited the Estate. of Tequila Cuervo, Now days the Beckmnan family owns 70% of the Company, which is one of the few Tequila Destileries still own by Mexicans.
Having tequila in your veins for many generations is very tough on the liver.
