It is mind boggling that no lessons were learned from Katrina: don't use stadiums for shelters & provide buses to evacuate lower income residents.
The stadium was full of first responders, not regular people. Calm down.
@@NottyAriesit’s still people
@@NottyAriestelling people to calm down, always works 🙄
It's a Republican state. They could care less about the lives of lower-income residents.
@@carbine090909 calm down
Why would they put a cloth type roof on a stadium, in an area frequented by hurricanes?
And even worse, put first responders there!
Insurance fraud 😂
Useful for the rain. If it tears up later, the few hours of protection it gave is a win.
That stadium was built in 1993 by the city of St. Petersburg with the hopes of attracting a professional sports team. While we can say it certainly wasn't the finest idea for a roof, Tropicana Field's roof held up for over thirty years, and has survived numerous hurricanes, tropical storms, tropical depressions, thunder and lightning storms. It just couldn't hold up to the winds that strong... All in all, that roof did it's job for a long time.
Omg 😭I'm praying for y'all Florida sending y'all love 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
GOD BLESS the doctors and nurses and workers in the HOSPITAL. THEY have to stay and help people. Blessings to all of them.
The heroes of the heroes.
Prayers going out for the families that's loss homes and family members this morning
God Bless you all.
Prayers for Florida, damage is minimal.Homes and buildings are still standing. Keep an honest perception...North Carolina was devastating...whole cities wiped off the earth. Dead are still laying around over a week later...the living there so not have water, food, or shelter. Turn your attention and prayers to those from Helene who lost everything.
How about prayers for everyone. I suspect there's enough for all.
I'm in the heart of Tampa and it was intense. No power and wind sound on the windows like they were going to explode. We were not able to sleep. The rain was out of this world. Never seen this amount of rain in my life.
the amount of lightning strikes showing in that storms leading arm, incredible. but paradise has hung on and survived.
Assets were not in that stadium during the hurricane. They were moved before the storm hit.
Prayers 🙏🙏🙏 goes out ❤️❤️❤️ from jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲
😢God is good ! Amen, Amen ! People " my area is flooded out, houses and businesses have flooded out " flooded cars, and people wading in waist high water " it's heart breaking to see this ,
I am on high side and no flood on our property but our neighbors across the street ,lost everything " thank God no lives , that we know of, thanks for all the prayers and thoughts during this storm" 😔❤
All in all, it could have been much worse.
Thoughts & Prayers to all those affected 🙏❤
Oh praise it has drop down to 1. Instead of 5
I thinks it’s 1 now, but not when it dropped…prayers to all🙏🏾
They predicted it would drop down over land. Water is where it gets its strength.
This isn't God, it's just science
It hit as a category 3 not a 1
As bad as this was it seems to me that it wasn't nearly as bad as predicted. They were saying there would be storm surge 12 to 15-foot high - I think he said the max surge was 5-foot. Predictions were apocalyptic. They need to be careful not to make such dire predictions and overstate the danger lest people start ignoring their warning in the future. Yeah, it's a big mess and their were fatalities (from tornadoes, from what I've heard).
RIP Florida
They were better off staying home😢
I think all the people that are sending prayers should have prayed to god no damage to begin with but we all know how that would work
Exactly
They did, but they'll just get told by other religious zealots that they didn't pray hard enough and it's their fault. Religion is such a scam 🤦♂️
yup
God is not there to remove the problems but to help us get through them without tearing each other apart.
God helps us get through it - he doesn't stop bad things from happening
Downtown Tampa , destroyed , if anyone have relatives in the area of" 12202 n. 15 st. That's the area of reference"❤
Many folks in the mountains of NC are still in need of help. I've been listening to the local news in the area and person after person talks about how FEMA has not been very helpful. One women was bringing a truckload of chainsaws up to the mountains and FEMA tried to confiscate them. She thought h*ll no, left, and went another way. FEMA is parked in areas where many people can't get to them. Folks are also saying that the red tape involved applying for the $750 is ridiculous, and many in dire straits are being denied. I remember watching illegalls arriving in NYC years ago, and they were being handed cell phones and debit cards without any application process. Shameful that Americans are below illegals when help is needed.
Facts. I hate to hear that.
Stop with the misinformation already .
Where is FEMA
Doesn't FEMA come after a storm???
Does hurricane passed ?
Yep, the eye is in the Atlantic Ocean now, outside Florida. But the whole circle of the hurricane still over part of florida
Everyone in florida should receive a stimulis check😢😢😢😢we need it now 😢😢😢stop sending money to isreal and ukraine😢😢😢

😮
IKR
You are not floridian, arent u? 😂
My ceiling fan has more power than this hurricane.
It hit central florida at the west coast at winds of 145 mph. Downtown Tampa is gone. Say less stupid things.

Turn a blind eye to this, Zelensky needs a few more BILLION $$$$$
These storms are man made Geo Storms adgenda 2030 right on time.
Please give links to what would lead you to that conclusion. Big claims require big evidence.
Really? How did they make it?
Troll account spewing nonsense.
Margerie Trailer Queen, is that you? 🤦🤡

No worries, they will get 750$ and Kamala will drink a good beer on talkshows as support.

That's ridiculous, a lot of
scandals and warnings for
a hurricane category 1,😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
Please delete your comment because it's lacking intelligence and facts.
It made landfall as a Cat 3, crossing FL it dropped to Cat 1. I'm not going to be upset about storm surges being MUCH lower than what it could have been.
You're a little dense, aren't you, friend?
Do you understand how weather works?
Downtown Tampa is gone and it hit as a category 3. I know your kind is uneducated but geezus
