Thank you for this!! I currently have a dslr booth but I am definitely doing ipad for my next booth! How do the pictures come out with the ring light in different environment/light settings? Are they always well lit, clear pictures?
The pictures come out good but a dslr is always going to look better. Also it depends on how you adjust the camera settings in whatever app you use. I also use some extra lighting when necessary.
Thanks! I used heavy duty Velcro on the iPad case to hold it in place. This allows me to swap out iPads easily. I am using the iPad air, but it can handle any iPad other than the Pro.

Hi. I have been using my ipad photobooth for my own wedding and events. I don't have a case though. I am interested in purchasing the base that you create. I am in Stockbridge. How can I contact you?
So far I've done it both ways but I think cutting the hole gives a cleaner look. The toilet flanges have these odd parts cut out in addition to the screw holes. These cutouts make it easily recognizable as a toilet flange. When I drill the hole then screw in from the bottom the toilet flange isn't as recognizable. The only time I just screw the flange to the top of the base is when I am using 4 inch pipe instead of 3 inch. The 4inch pipe fits around the flange and you get more support when you mount it on top.

I love USB battery packs :) Good ideas you share - not really into paying monthly for something I can do myself (take pictures, make templates, foramtting...) ? what are you paying for with that app exactly?
The app has a lot of features. It allows the guests to email, text,airdrop or print the pictures. It automated the process. While you can do most of that on your own, it would take too much time when you are live at an event and have 20 people waiting in line. Also the app can be set to virtual attendant mode so you can drop off the PhotoBooth and not need a live attendant. It also allows the client to get access to the pictures.

You can use kneeling pads which you can buy at Walmart or any auto parts store for about $15

What size ipad do you recommend?
For the booths I build, anything other than the Pro. The Pro will not fit in this 18" ring light.
