- This was not my favorite area to travel through. I was frustrated and not enjoying my time through this part of Peru. I try to show a little bit of the reality of travelling like I am, in this video. It isn't always fun and instagram moments. Sometimes it is dirty, unpleasant and frustrating.
I'm riding my Honda CRF250L Rally on a tour of South America on my way south the ride to Argentina.
About Me:
I am a motovlogger out of Portland, OR who does scenic rides and vlogs about the ride and the places I visit. I do motorcycle trips, adventure riding and moto camping along with day rides to scenic and memorable destinations on some of the best motorcycle roads in the country. I'm currently doing a multi year long ride from the US to the southern tip of South America and beyond, on a Honda CRF250 Rally.

Good journey warrior ✌️😎👊
Thanks!
You said what I was thinking when you first got to Peru. I was like wow what a welcoming mat they have there. When you get frustrated all you can do is laugh about it or let it keep getting worse and usually when you choose the later it doesn't turn out that well.
Ya. I had to lean to just be ok with how the other country worked and try to make the best of it. I think if I got used to knowing what to look for and when each thing is open, it would be fine.
Can definitely hear the frustration in your voice. It’s kind of funny how one frustration leads to others, and it piles up. I’m glad you were able to find some positive!!!
Ya. I was just tired of always having trouble finding things, and people in general were not all that helpful or friendly. But there were some very very kind people I did interact with.
Wow, thanks for sharing your trip! Looks like some beautiful areas…but also desolate. It’s interesting to see there’s not a lot of breakfast spots and coffee. I love learning the cultural differences and things that make us unique. Buena suerte! 😊 #supportbikers
Its different for sure, and a lot to get used to. This day was just several days of frustration built up.
Sad about the trash, but that won't change until the people who live there want it to. I glad you found the positive moments to offset the negative feelings.
You are right, it won't. It just made me sad, to see it in such a condition. But, yes, just a little thing, helped me a lot that morning.
Hangry man. That was a lot of trash. I’ve done the same stopped at a gas station to get something than 10 miles later restaurants.
It was a normal occurrence to not find any open restaurants, it wasn't the first time, that was part of it. If it had been isolated, I might not have been so bothered by it.
You just didn't search long enough 😂😂😂
I'm sure Peru gets much better after this
Hahah. Ya, if I had ridden a 1/4 mile further. There are some fun things in Peru coming up. I still don't suggest the coastal/desert route, the slower route through the mountains I suspect is much better.
@@DeweyRides only one way to find out!
Exactly!
Wow, that's a lot of trash - and hard to find COFFEE?? I'm out. At least you're able to laugh about it :D
Ya. The no coffee or anything was getting to me. Clearly.
@@DeweyRides Hey, a man's gotta have caffeine! :D
heard northern Peru and the coast is not the best ti look at
Ya, it wasn't so great, I want to see the mountains, and hopefully take a good experience away from Peru.
Looks like a desert wasteland
It desert like that for 3000 miles, it's amazing the size of the area that is just sand.
Hmmm, that trash was terrible.
Ya. And there were places even worse. It was everywhere.
@@DeweyRides so sad
Indeed. As bad as it was to ride through. I feel so bad for the people who live in that, every day. I can't imagine.
@@DeweyRides exactly. I see some trash here and get disgusted, I can’t imagine it being the norm
