I don't believe for a second they put out the wrong verison of the beta. EA said the same thing about Battlefield 2042 and look how that turned out.

I don't think it's AI. The AI always go single file into turn 6 on Qatar (as you can see in this). But the person driving goes for the undercut under braking which is what most players do vs AI on that track. One of the easy overtake spots vs AI. The footage in cockpit view looks like someone who is fairly decent. There's a lot of human micro corrections on the wheel and the use of overtake is quite tactical.

My main problem with the raw gameplay of F1 23 and presuming F1 24 is that the cars are just way too quick. For example the esports pole around Austria was about 1.5 seconds faster than real life which is crazy like I’d understand maybe 5 tenths but 1.5 is way too much, then like you mentioned in the wet it’s even worse but still I have high hopes for this game
I don’t think it’s that unrealistic for them to be faster by a fairly large margin, because they get literally thousands of hours of practice for the game, whereas in real life you get maybe 3
@@jamnchips yeah understandable but like I said it would be ok if it’s maybe 5 tenths to a second but like more than that I find a bit too far like yes they do practice for thousands of hours but still if they’re top of simracing surely it should somewhat match the top of real life even if they’re up to a second faster that’s fine
@@JensenR12 tbf its also down to the physics of the game not being entirely realistic. esports drivers are able to harrass the kerbs on corner entry, which f1 drivers for the most part can't. also corners don't rlly vary much in the game in terms of the grip they yield, so that's another factor...

They need to bring back classic circuits and classic cars
There is a hint in the career deep dive (I think it's career) that Hockenheim is back. The evidence is the Hockenheim trophy in the background with other circuit trophies of the 2/24 season there.
classic cars will make a comeback at some point and they'll call it a new feature. Classic sports game tactic: take away a feature for a couple years then bring it back and call it new.
Normally at Silverstone, it's C1, 2 and 3. Hardest set basically. And they have the highest temperature tolerance. So 108 109 won't touch the limits of temps.
I'm seeing a lot, A LOT of people complaining about the smallest things.
I mean rightly so. EA release the same game titles every year and charge the same price, £60 for the exact same game as last year, same with call of duty. Rather than just adding new things to the current title, they make a new game with all the same stuff!
Sainz AI had a 3 sec pen. Track limits for AI would be awesome

@Niggaihate Not me, but I know people that do. It's not just the 3rd person camera but the fixed "flyby" cam, too, where the audio sucks.

suspension and tyre temps looks good, also if the camera moves with the suspension it should not be that much, because real life cameras do move but only a little, also, who plays on chase cam? it looks so wierd, chase cam is for need for speed not f1 or any other simcade or sim

The alleviation was already significant in F1 23. You just had to enter cockpit cam.
from the deep dive, i see that although they may have not changed anything to do with the engines yet, but if they have then they've still got the mercedes gear ratios fucked.
edit: also tom you might see this, you might not but when you talked about the different tyre temps and compared them to f1 23, depending on the track if you was at a track with c5 tyres as the soft they would overheat about when you said at 105 but at tracks where the c3 is the soft the softs (c3) wont actually overheat until i think 109 degrees
The gear ratios werent fucked. The revlimiter was set too low. Looks like they’ve raised it to 14000
@@anonymousfuck9320 no the gear ratios was fucked. if the rev limiter was fucked why was the mclaren even though it had a merc engine, had different gear rations than the merc, williams and aston martin, and why did the ferrari,haas and alfa romeo have different gear ratios than the merc engines and why ddi the red bull engines have different gear ratios? also if the rev limiter was fucked then why tf could the alpine get to 372 kph but no other car with a different engine could?
The teams can actually set their oen gear ratios, which they may change I believe in the off season and only once mid season. However I agree that it’s a bit weird that the Merc just has a disadvantage like that at Monza or Vegas
@Alex_49_YT i know that they can set their own gear ratios for their gearbox's but they arent actually allowed to change them mid season anymore, not even once, and in real life im pretty sure the mercedes gear ratio means to shift into 8th where all the shift lights on the wheel are showing is about 290kph not 278 or whatever it is in game

For me there are two points that need to be fixed in F1 24. Ultrawide no 16:9 REPLAYS, but in 21:9. The new physics behave in slow corners, and in acceleration out of corners. I hope you can testing this, for us. Greets mike

you can edit it and make it smaller in 23 so I assume you can do the same in 24.

sometimes it seems that people want to see it more than play it given the usual complaints about the graphics etc......when you race do you have time to look at the trees, the lights etc...? having said that if the race management tires and suspension work on ps5 is a great job.....
honestly I would gladly welcome the camera being affected by vibrations
the biggest downside in recent F1 games to me is that the car looks still, because of the camera being too steady
but I admit I'm not much into simcade etc. I prefer sims.
Chase cam at spa and chase cam at qatar looks like 2 different games, also the chase cam is awful. The incar thought looks mucb better, and qatar looks amazing with all the extra detail.

why are new tires not glossy when fitted in pits? Still no water spray visible in rear view mirrors, engine sounds are still to soft and not realistic

Around Qatar it definitely seems a lot slower with all the downforce on the car

Codie doesn't Plan on having a new game engine. They said in an interview that they can do whatever they want with the ego engine (made by them) and if they want to modify things (graphics or physics) they can develop that to include it to the engine.

bruh. they could have left the hud from 2020 and had that in these games, even the f1 2021 hud which i think was better than f1 2020. both of them are far superior than f1 22, f1 23 and now f1 24's hud.

my biggest gripe with the HUD is the rev lights, so much worse than what we had and will be weird to use.

Ferrari engine sounds as if the revs were way too too low even though the upshifts were just under 12.000.

See alot of the same as F1 23 , but the handling is what makes or brakes the game and so far i am not convinced its great. still holding of pre-buying this game.
I think it's just change that will take some getting used to. Suddenly there's more "sim" elements like more detailed suspension and aero effects like dirty air.
I'm very, very hopeful but hope people give it an honest go.

Yearly release sports game by default isn't worth the full price. It's an update/DLC they're charging $70 for. I'd love to know the psychology behind sports game yearly releases and why people still buy them.

I want the option to get rid of that bar, it's a video game!!!!!!!! Not an F1 Driver Sim. Let them make there own race Sim, you want to sell more copies, make it player friendly like setups for each track and controller friendly things, also give us more choice in TRACKS and cars like classics.

Love the amount of spray in wet.... thinking that instead of water its raining the glue that sticks to the circuit. Poor, poor, poor. Another step back at different part of the game. It seems like they play with the players. "Oh look in two years we have managed to redesign two corners in SPA and changed the kerbs width. Oh please pay 70 cmon!
Always putting out unfinished games . I don’t know how because it’s been the same game for the last 4 years . Bought it from 2009 - 2022 . Won’t buy again until they change the game engine .
Do not pre-oder ANY EA game please. Just wait. It's not worth the frustration for the first month while they try not to listen to player feedback and waste your time. EA has proven it's track record with these releases.
