- In this video, I show you some of my home studio hacks for DIY backdrops. In my 1 bedroom apartment, I have to work with what I have and this DIY Home Studio setup has saved me so much time. This video is so simple because use free natural light to light my backdrop!

Watching in Aug 2019 and this was SUPER helpful since I commute and work full time. I don’t have time for extensive set up and breakdown. Genius!
FANTASTIC!!!!! Just a quick tip. Drywall can take some weight but for rigidity, aim for studs in the wall so it will be 100x stronger and less likely to accidently pull the sheet wrong or some weird thing. That roll can get heavy. Just a tip and will be so sturdy that you can get bigger rolls or even viynl rolls for design backdrops and will hold with no problem.
I love that you did this. Don’t have to go out of the way to create your back drops. Yes, make it work with what you have.
I’m a professor that’s preparing for the fall and I’ve been trying to find ways to make my zoom sessions look more professional. Thanks so much for this!! And it also confirmed that I want a yellow backdrop.

FYI for anyone wondering - You can get a curtain rod at IKEA for like $3-5 with the basic ends, and the brackets are only like $0.50 😊

You know what this just gave me a great idea for my home office which is small because I already have a desk, sewing machine, vanity, bookshelf, etc taking up space. Also, I'm a teacher so I get rolls of colorful bulletin board paper at the teacher supply store for a discount so now I can just hang it on a curtain rod instead of cutting and taping it as you mentioned. Thanks for the tip mam!
