@6:20 it always gets me wondering how much your average Firenation Citizen knew about Zuko’s banishment. Clearly Hire ups in the military and Colonials new, especially when the wanted posters popped up in S2. But what about your average Wang Fire? Did they know or were they under the impression he was on a mission from Ozai?
@@wandanemer2630 I think it’s safe to say your average colonial and any deployed military personnel knew about the banishment, at least in S2. S1 this information was likely kept as need to know by the military. Obviously those who worked close with Ozai knew. But besides that group I think you average FN citizen doesn’t know. What’s really telling is no one recognizes Zuko, but especially Azula on Ember Island. Now you can chalk this up to plenty of teens probably style themselves as the royalty, but I don’t think that’s the case. Golden child, pride of the nation Azula almost certainly should be recognized by the average Joe. But she’s not. This has me believe that the royals and their business are kept pretty secret. That way no one can attempt any hostage shenanigans with the Firelord. So your average kid is taught something like “Oh mighty Ozai rules us with goodness. He has a boy who was injured training one day. The brave Prince has taken up the mantle of searching for the nation’s greatest threat like his grandfather before him. The Princess is a prodigy and a stunning beauty” S2 they probably weren’t told squat in the homeland. Hell it’s possible the schools stopped mentioning Zuko at al.
I'm excited for you guys to see "The Avatar and the Firelord" So much good backstory in that episode....UGH This season has so many good moments! Can't wait.
Tbh tho I feel like the reason he didn't tell Azula Aang could possibly be alive is because he doesn't trust her to not share that information with their father. Not cos he's trying to protect the Gaang but more because he was trying to protect himself.
The scene where aangs gliders just gets to me every time. It was one of the last things that remained from the air nomads that aang had and he lost that part of himself. Ugh
You had no reaction to azula’s comment on how mai has been in a strangely good mood after being with Zuko...... on a boat..... for a few weeks.... cuz everyone else did 😂
For a few weeks?...I didn't hear that actually... Also they just didn't notice that probably. Jyst like Mai blushing in her childhood watching Zuko in episode Zuko alone
Finally someone appreciate Azula as a villain. You are the first reactors to do that. You actually hated the one who should be hated- Ozai, who abused both of his kids.
This episode showed the resilience of Avatar Aang. It is very understandable that he feels guilty about the world believing he is dead. Team Avatar have to take time to truly strategize because they are nearing the endgame. Aang was actually gone, I don’t think he will get another chance like that. The Fire Lord comes off as pure evil. His children didn’t have much of a chance. We need Zuko to break free from his family’s tyranny. As always I love your reactions. I cannot wait to see your next reaction. I am a true fan.
Love how much you love the characters and are enjoying the series. Started watching you guys for your 100 reactions and I know how disappointing that was, trust me enjoy this show while you can you can only see it for the first time once and honestly it changes you.
5:42 Okay, can we just talk about how incredibly well done that scene is!? It seriously gives me chills everytime I watch it. It has to be one of the best scenes in this show and that's saying something!
Guys again, Aang can die in or out of the avatar state, but if he dies in the avatar state the reincarnation cycle breaks, the avatar will not be born again, thats the only difference.
I never realized that when Aang's staff falls and the Fire Nation flag falls onto it at 9:14 it foreshadows the staff burning at the end of the episode
Welcome to the beginning of the Magnus Opus of the Avatar The Last Airbender. Season 3 is my favorite. It's a masterpiece of story-telling and animation.
Loved your discussion at the end so much! Your opinions were so great and it was so interesting to hear what you had to say and how on point you were with a lot of things like how the characters were feelings etc. I really can't wait for your reaction to this whole season! I hope you plan on reacting to the spin off The Legend of Korra after you finish this show! There's a lot of mentions of this Avatar and it's really good i'd love to see your reaction to that as well!
Yeah, I really appreciate their thoughts on Aang and his guilt about the end of Book 2. NOBODY should have the responsibility of an entire world on them but that’s the job deemed for the Avatar. And that massive responsibility was placed on a *12 year old,* some years earlier than it was supposed to be revealed. It’s amazing how a goofy kid like Aang holds that weight and I’m glad they didn’t write him off as “stupid” like some reactors have done.
there is an extra promotional episode which shows what happend after aang was hit by the lightning. the episode is also included on the DVDs. Avatar The Last Airbender - Escape From The Spirit World ( ruclips.net/video/F-l4fuwpdHc/видео.html ) it shows aang travelling the spirit world and reconnecting to his past lives to save the avatar cycle after azula hit him.. so it basically takes place between the last episode of season 2 and the first episode of season 3 .... enjoy

So my read on Azula from having watched the show a few times: She wasn't going to have Zuko take the credit and responsibility for killing the Avatar at first, because she knew that him helping was good enough. _And_ she wasn't going to have him take it if he had told her about the spirit water. She did what she did because Zuko lied to her and put her at risk from a danger that he wasn't going to help her deal with, and her pragmatic ass isn't having that. She has a soft side, but it's not a merciful side.
It's been hinted that Zuko & Mai have been together. In a flashback as kids Mai has a crush on Zuko already & Tylee points out Mai will b excited to see Zuko in the episode when they pair up with Azula, Mai blushes. immediately

Azula, in general, should have been the older sister, around ten years older than they portrayed her in canon. Her attitude, ferocity, and capability would have been better portrayed by a 24 year old woman, not a 14 year old girl. I get the draw for bringing Aang in at twelve, and for the rest of the main cast - that is, Katara, Sokka, Zuko, and Toph - to be of similar ages to him, but Azula, and Mai and Ty Lee by extension, are too young for their roles.
Mmm, sounds reasonable, but there's an appeal in showing us a prodigy skilled with words and tactics as well - age wouldn't matter as much when it comes to prodigies.
I think azula being younger than zuko helps with making zuko even more motivated to please his dad since his younger sibling is so much more powerful than he is.
@@rinkusan978 That might be true in some cases, but I don't think that Azula fits this role. She acts with experience, and she is cunning and charismatic enough to turn the secret police of an enemy country against their own leader and city state. It stretches the suspension of disbelief to say that what she pulled with the Dai Li as a fourteen year old would have worked, because that wasn't a matter of prodigy, that was matter of a disciplined military force deciding to defect to the leadership of a young teen. Besides, if you look at the cast, Aang and Toph are already prodigies in their craft - Aang as a master air bender before even learning of his heritage, and Toph a master earth bender, and the first known metal bender. They're also the two youngest members of the cast, and neither of them were ready to lead anyone for a while. Not only that, but the other three aren't far behind either, without going into spoilers. Azula, on the other hand, was introduced as a master - a master fire bender, an experienced tactician, a charismatic leader, and a ruthless fighter. She wasn't given the room to grow like the others were. She wasn't given the same space to make mistakes, and to learn from them, something that even prodigies need. From her introduction, she has carried herself as an experienced adult. It would be one thing if she was introduced as a master fire bender who was still learning the basics of casting lightning, to be mastered over the course of the second season, while directing fire nation soldiers by writ of her father. But her character and experience, by itself, doesn't fit her age. Don't get me wrong, I like her well enough, and I love Avatar as a series. But if there was one character who was deserving of the title of "Mary Sue" in The Last Airbender, it would be Azula. Introducing her as an adult - or even just adding five years to everyone's age - would have mitigated that, or at least would have made it more believable. To be honest, she reminds me of more kid-friendly Cersei Lannister.
@@johns6014 I think Azula should have been older, but not older than Zuko. If it were me, Azula would be 16 and Zuko would be 18. In a way, her not being allowed to "grow" as a character symbolizes the situation she is in. She has always been trapped and used by her father. She was never allowed to show weakness or be normal. She was never even seen as human by her father, but as some sort of war machine. So that's all she does, whereas Zuko HAD to grow because his father abandoned him and didn't have the same amount of control over him as he did over Azula. In a way, her blind following of her father's orders show that she is still a child, incapable of really thinking for herself, whereas Zuko shows maturity by questioning things and making his own choice in the end.
@@mr.malcolmthegreat Personally, I think that it would have been more demanding of Zuko if he'd had an older sister with years of military and political experience, and who set the bar of expectations, rather than a younger sister who just overshadowed him with raw talent and ruthlessness. Both would beget higher expectations of him from their father, but only one affords her with years of experience and activity to back up those expectations, her character and demeanor, and her role within the story.
"shut up he's feeding ducks" finally someone reacts to the important things

"cold from betrayal" 🤧🤣
@6:20 it always gets me wondering how much your average Firenation Citizen knew about Zuko’s banishment. Clearly Hire ups in the military and Colonials new, especially when the wanted posters popped up in S2. But what about your average Wang Fire? Did they know or were they under the impression he was on a mission from Ozai?
That's something I would really like to know! Was that even taught in school or something, too?
Can't wait.
It's the best season for me
One of the best episodessss
Thanks for not cutting out the part where Katara talks to her dad❤️
Mai: I just asked if you were cold. I didnt ask for your whole life s story.
Me: Now that s cold.😂😂😂😂😂
She lucky she dating Zuko, because if she wouldn't she probably be feeding fish after that line
Tbh tho I feel like the reason he didn't tell Azula Aang could possibly be alive is because he doesn't trust her to not share that information with their father. Not cos he's trying to protect the Gaang but more because he was trying to protect himself.
True.
But if hebwasbhonest they would either blame azula or aang and i dint thunk azula would take the chance
The scene where aangs gliders just gets to me every time. It was one of the last things that remained from the air nomads that aang had and he lost that part of himself. Ugh
Lola: who's then teaching you fire?
Zuko: hello, zuko here
You had no reaction to azula’s comment on how mai has been in a strangely good mood after being with Zuko...... on a boat..... for a few weeks.... cuz everyone else did 😂
For a few weeks?...I didn't hear that actually... Also they just didn't notice that probably. Jyst like Mai blushing in her childhood watching Zuko in episode Zuko alone
Nice.
Finally someone appreciate Azula as a villain. You are the first reactors to do that. You actually hated the one who should be hated- Ozai, who abused both of his kids.
"He looks like zuko"
"How fucking dare you"😂😂😂😂😂
I clicked so damn fast. I can't wait for you to see the end. Also every character shines, but you'll notice Katara truly gets some shine.
❤️❤️
Azula was playing mindgames with zuko to see if knew the avatars alive
Katara's voice acting in this apisode is SO GOOD, I feel like I'm gonna cry every time when she talks to her dad. I can feel the pain in her voice.
Love how much you love the characters and are enjoying the series. Started watching you guys for your 100 reactions and I know how disappointing that was, trust me enjoy this show while you can you can only see it for the first time once and honestly it changes you.
"How the fuck dare you!" Gotta remember that line.
That scene between Katara and her dad always absolutely kills me ;-;
5:42 Okay, can we just talk about how incredibly well done that scene is!? It seriously gives me chills everytime I watch it. It has to be one of the best scenes in this show and that's saying something!
Guys again, Aang can die in or out of the avatar state, but if he dies in the avatar state the reincarnation cycle breaks, the avatar will not be born again, thats the only difference.
I never realized that when Aang's staff falls and the Fire Nation flag falls onto it at 9:14 it foreshadows the staff burning at the end of the episode
Super early! I neeeeeed you two to binge and post! You are going to love how well they wrap it all up!
"He looks like Zuko" "how the fuck dare you" lmaaoooo
I haven't seen the vid yet. But I know exactly who they're talking about LoL
Well, he is his father lol hahaha
He looks like young Azulon
But Zuko looking like Ursa his mother
@@Qin_Lee Yet, he has his father's golden eyes (Azula didn't get them, she has her mother's eyes), and I really love that detail!

"Betrayal looks good on you"
What in fucks name!!
These guys and their quotes are on par with this amazing show itself.
there is an extra promotional episode which shows what happend after aang was hit by the lightning. the episode is also included on the DVDs.
Avatar The Last Airbender - Escape From The Spirit World ( ruclips.net/video/F-l4fuwpdHc/видео.html )
it shows aang travelling the spirit world and reconnecting to his past lives to save the avatar cycle after azula hit him..
so it basically takes place between the last episode of season 2 and the first episode of season 3 ....

10:08 funny back and forth.
Oh my, u don't imagine how I wait the 5th episode))
It's been hinted that Zuko & Mai have been together. In a flashback as kids Mai has a crush on Zuko already & Tylee points out Mai will b excited to see Zuko in the episode when they pair up with Azula, Mai blushes. immediately
They just didn't notice that i think

It's not a question, it is the best animated TV series.
The only animation that comes close to this is Star Wars The Clone Wars
@@theunderdog9353 Oh yeah you right I wasn't thinking about that one. EMO KING AND GOTH QUEEN TOGETHER AT LAST

The Beach is another episode I'm looking forward to LM Reactions to seeing.
