Namz Benz tech here …. those are active engine mounts which means there are sensors on each mount make sure the sensor on the mounts are intact and plugged in . From experience those abs sensors are extremely sensitive the minute you touch them the wrong way they go bad … also throttle body connectors are commonly left unplugged check those connectors and make sure everything is plugged in I have a feeling somthing is not plugged in

I think the module is faulty or a wire has been damaged. If you've got someone good with electrics check the modules signals. And I always start with checking grounds and fuses when dealing the electrics before I drive into anything long with electrics

Had same issue with esp lights etc got told it can be either module or you clear it on computer and get lucky and don't go away either way with best guy to sort it
Ive had similar issue in past on a 4matic system, it turned out to be the abs ring on the driveshaft. Worth continuing with live data readings on front wheels, if you find one to be lower, just change the ring out. InshaAllah you fix it quick and cheap.

Mercedes are headache when it comes to diagnosing faults. U normally have to check for software updates. The ABS sensor does look worn but weird to have happened within 4k miles. Keep going though bro you'll succeed. Maybe take it to merc for there diagnostic machine to be plugged in?
Had a similar issue with my C43 with the 4matic system. The steering wheel angle sensor had gone faulty. Had to remove the steering wheel and replace the angle sensor/clock spring assembly. If you put the car in reverse, you can see the direction the car the thinks the steering wheel is pointed. In my case, when the steering wheel was pointed straight, the guide lines on the reverse camera were showing I had the wheels turned, which was obviously incorrect, and I knew the steering wheel angle sensor was giving incorrect feedback.

Hi! Once you will replace the cooling radiator (I don’t remember on which side), you need to bleed (release the air) the system. Once you will bleed it don’t forget to also add coolant to the recipient from the top of the engine (it will cool the transmission -this is a different cooling system just for the transmission, from which you don’t have any sensor to tell you that the cooling circuit is empty.. ), otherwise you will heat the transmission!
Yeah, manufacturers warranty, factory trained technicians with factory software and access to factory level support critical. If this is not available, highly competent, experienced independent required with first rate auto electronic and diagnostician skill set. Shame this car does now not have this and never will again now it has been messed around with by unqualified persons.
@@Dingolfing this car has variable valve timming, what is current timing with camshafts? is it little bit ratling also? if cylinderdecks are too low, it can change the timming also...wiht that case, it will never find right timming...
The wheel speed speed sensor would read those manual rotations you were doing but actually driven rotations it won’t be able to read it, you may have to check the whole sensor that connects from the frame to the wheel or it may be some junk that solidified into the wheel hub that’s possibly blocking the sensor from reading the wheel speed. Hope it helps, I had a similar event like yours
good luck Bro. My old AMG gets its steering learning by turning the wheels left to right full lock a couple of times on the road. Also Mercs can go to limp mode after a battery change especially if no battery for more than 2 days. Most mercs have an additional battery backup either in the boot or under the dash. it's just a small one to keep you losing all your settings. Correct Battery voltage on mercs is very important. modules and sensors hate low voltage. keep the battery fully charged. ALL THE BEST BRO
Hey Namz,did you disconnect the steering shaft to pull the engine ? If you did it could be that the steering wheel was turned & the angle sensor is out of wack,had that on a E63 before,I'm sure you'll work it out either way.
Hi nope we took the engine out from the top so we didn’t disturb the steering rack, however I carried out a SAS learn anyway but it didn’t help definitively will figure it out just a matter of time
Hi namz i know some cars need to be up to a certain temperature before it will do the crank relaern also if you put a new battery in might need to do a BMS reset
Check fuses, if fuses removed possible from dashcam. ESP/ABS/AWD/Valves ect all work together, if one fault then they all turn off. Defiantly figure out what is unplugged instead of clearing the codes.
Mercedes battery was dead and when you changed new battery on these. All sam module units starts messing up and need re programming. Ect brake judder issues is 100% abs/wheel speed sensor related. As i has these issues on my 2006 mercedes s63 w221.
Similar experience here had this issue one time out of completely nowhere. Brought to get my headlights checked and after leaving service had ESP issue and like 30 other codes, nothing was done only a code erased due to headlight issue, the guys used their diagnostics tools similar to what you have. I have a feeling these cars hate other OBD2 tools. What solved my issue was to factory code/re-program every single module with Xentry dealer tool. Although, I can't remember it could have been Vediamo. That's what I did and all issues went away :) nothing was wrong with the car for me atleast. Just reset everything as if it just rolled off the assembly line. Hope this helps!
There's another thing that will come up Namz, you need to vent the coolant of the transmission as well. The dealer pressurised the coolant to vent it. I'm sorry for my English if i said it in the wrong way.
Yes namz Code the battery in first Change the ABS ring If that still doesn’t resolve the 4matic limp mode then relearn steering angle sensor/replace it An if that fails then look into coding the module/repairing it
Try disconnect battery and put plus and minus cable together for 5 mins. Try turn steering full lock left full lock right. Did you put all the sensors back when you removed engine? Try a different scantool maybe autel not picking up a Merc specific code. Reprogramne ECU with original file. When you removed transmission cooler did you fill oil to correct level ? Did you reinstall correct battery ? If I was to make a guess I think u missed a sensor when removed engine. Also check all fuses
all new cars are all about sensors, it could be ABS but it's just a guess the Pulsating brakes normally due to rust on discs but again only guessing best bet contact DiagnoseDan he a RUclipsr I'm sure he will love to help
Check to see if the wheel hub bearing magnetic ring that the Wheel speed sensor reads from when wheel is spinning is clean! I had this before on an A Class & limited it to 20mph …
I had this problem on a car once and it was in lymph mode because of the esp and and system but I took it out and did a emergency brake test and the car sorted itself out also if not that it could be the sensor like you said
Brother! The reason your getting the Traction errors is because you replaced the battery and that is the reason why the car is not going above 5 Kms. It’s todo with the steering angle sensor. All you need to do is take car on the road stop it on the side and turn the steering all the way to the left, hold it for two seconds then turn it all the way to the right, hold it for 2 seconds and then just drive off. After you restart the car this error should disappear and the angle sensors should be calibrated. InshAllah it will fix the traction, speed and jerking issues.

Didn’t you have throttle pedal fault codes ? If you did your whole issues could relate to that. Not seeing correct throttle status will cause ruff engine running and possible traction control faults. I’d say your brake pedal fault is because your brake discs need to be driven may have slight warping from the rust.

Some learning and German manufacturer specific learn ins can be problematic and not work on third party scan tools. Seems weird there is something in DME about a rotor learn in which sounds like it is very much to do with the braking system, which is where you are having the issue. Maybe someone at the auction place or elsewhere has introduced this new issue as I cannot see why this would flare up with what you have done. You did not drive it before you did the engine work so this issue could have likely been there when you bought itZ Could someone have swapped out the DSC unit or another part with a faulty one, or DSc unit now needs coding to vehicle.
With being in diagnostics myself, I reckon the issue as you mentioned implausible signal may relate to the actual control module/ECU itself bro or the wiring to the ECU, possibly even the ABS pump, seems to me as if something isn’t connected in the engine bay (as you mentioned yourself), just a wild guess tbh

Bouncing brake pedal iv known to be fkd discs or faulty abs pump. Whatever it is im sure uv already sorted it as this was filmed over a month ago 😉 Big up

Try switching the traction control off before driving it, the pulsating brake pedal is the abs kicking in as the whole system is going crazy and also why its cutting power
Gear selector on gearbox not in right position?? I had this problem on 2018 c class amg. Or because traction light is flashing it’s telling you the wheels are spinning faster then they actually are. Mercedes are a head ache to work on
Salaam, Why are you clearing faults that are reappearing? There is clearly an issue there that needs to be addressed and thats where your problem lies.
I wouldn't say that the dealership is necessary but even connecting it to a xentry clone would be helpful as some modules have trouble communicating with other brands scanning tools.

You should take it to Mercedes and let them deal with it because they have the up-to-date computers. I can’t see it being expensive because the important work has been done.

From sounds of it, abs sensors should be replaced along with abs pump that should remove most christmas lights

Check the crankshaft sensor for the relearn and rough idle common symptoms
And abs pump for the esp

We had it up to operating temps ie 90 degrees and it still didn’t work
Do the BMS Reset and try crank learn again I need to see this beast moving

Purge the coolant system and some plug or conector is disconected or damage pins some code generate more codes that kind of car is all about sensors
Stones hit this area frequently so I advise you to install extra netting to save you future expenses
Will either be a damaged abs ring or sensor or the steering angle sensor. Also make sure the throttle position sensor or wiring is good

Gear selector on gearbox not in right position?? I had this problem on 2018 c class amg. Or because traction light is flashing it’s telling you the wheels are spinning faster then they actually are. Mercedes are a head ache to work on
Try to get an other ecm(computer) just to be clear that it's working fine
Check for all the ground connections and do the tests to confirm that its grounded properly.

Why are you clearing faults that are reappearing? There is clearly an issue there that needs to be addressed and thats where your problem lies.

I know its a different car but my n63 had all random esp and tc issues then I saw front and rear tires have a diameter difference of more than 1%
Think you ought to take it to the Mercedes dealership for them to scan it with the proper scan tool
Leave it to us, we don’t give up just like that plus it’s not rocket science it’s a matter of time before we figure out the problem
I wouldn't say that the dealership is necessary but even connecting it to a xentry clone would be helpful as some modules have trouble communicating with other brands scanning tools.

Could be the system your using to erase the fault codes. Try using something like Mercedes star system to erase the codes
This is good enough wasn’t cheap either I have used a star machine side by side with mine many times and it matched what it could do 👍🏽

The engine fault code is communicating with the other modules. Until you get the engine light off I doubt the other modules won't stop throwing codes.
@@adamjones7538 the engine codes and the ABS, traction unit aren’t linked, I do however hear what you’re saying when sometimes a fault presents other faults

Replace the ring abs sensor had similar problem with bmw

You should take it to Mercedes and let them deal with it because they have the up-to-date computers. I can’t see it being expensive because the important work has been done.
