Love your enthusiasm for my country -- every year during fire season we see thousands of your countrymen coming to help and we are incredibly appreciative for your efforts to help save our forests and towns -- cheers from Canada

The Canadian Pacific Railway hired some Swiss mountaineers in the 1890s to introduce the pleasures of mountain climbing and skiing to Canadians. They built Swiss chalets for them to live in.

Banff is famous for its Larch trees in the fall, they are coniferous trees as well which makes them even cooler

Beautiful place, but I would recommend going in May or September so you're not squashed by crowds of tourists. The Kettle Chips are usually an option instead of Fries and they more crispy than regular packaged chips.

About your chip comment. They are made in house fresh with their own spices. Yummy and warm. Plus Banff was Canadas First Nation park. My fave place for winter with the skiing.

G'Day Tash! I was born in Calgary, I left when I was 16. Which was a few years ago. lol My mother was born in Nordegg, Ab in 1920. She loved the mountains and we were there all the time. Haven't been up there for a while. Time for a visit. 🥲😍

Great reaction! If you plan on going to Banff, you’ll fly in to my hometown of Calgary! If you can, try to avoid July, August as that’s the peak time and super busy and more expensive! I’m not sure if anyone else has updated you as to the wildfires! Jasper took a major hit, but I don’t think it was as bad as expected! Wildlife seemed to be okay, but unrelated to the wildfire’s a rare white grizzly and her cubs were hit on the highway and the cubs were killed and the mother died later the next day! 😢We had smoke all the way here in Calgary! Jasper is about 4 and half hours from here!

Hi. 👋 my son and family live in Calgary. I been to Banff a couple times. Drove, and such magnificent views along the way. First trip we spent two days. Rented a cabin, with hot tub, pool and sauna. Was amazing. Toured Banff, and ate at some great restaurants. We had a young man, Aussie serve us. Was so friendly, and handsome. Food was delicious. It was june, busy, but I don't mind crowds. Was a horse, carriage, could take you around Banff. Views are breathtaking. Was there in May, this year, a day trip. Weather was rainy, and cool some. Not great. Lake Louise was still froze some. Not great for pictures. And raining. Got to Banff, sunny. Overall I loved it. I think summer is best time to visit. It's warm, great for walking, and touring. Even if crowded. Going again next year. 😊❤️👏🗻 enjoy you and your channel. Whenever you go, you will not be disappointed. 🤗❤️

These are fresh made potato chips. Hot out of the fryer. A lot of restaurants offer them. Just thin round French fries.

When I started school in 1970 my dentist was in Banff. Drove in from Golden BC. That was a drive to remember. They now have a four lane highway through there. Still an iconic drive.

Kettle chips in a restaurant are a lot thicker then the kettle chips you buy in a bag at the store. They are more like round french fries.

You should also look into Waterton Lakes National Park. We spent a week there this summer and it has a lot to offer as well. Where the Prairies meet the Rockies.

I live about 4 hours north of Banff, it's been a weekend vacation spot for my family and friends for decades. I can vouch for The Grizzly House, last time I was there I had the exotic meats platter, it had rattlesnake, alligator, and even some kangaroo.

Guaranteed, at a restaurant like that, the "kettle chips" or crisps were homemade and seasoned in-house and not from a packet.

4:52 $75?!? Did that massively go up in price recently? I lived in Calgary until 2016 and thought it was less than $50 (possibly as low as $30).
Also, there's a tonne of Aussies there on their OE (or at least when I was there).
