This one time I was playing a crit-based gunslinger build, and I’m still not sure how it happened, but it devolved into me exploding everything by slapping anything nasty with a war club.
It was actually pretty overpowered.

Then there's the Better Crits perk.
not the multiplier but the crit damage, the multiplier is still pretty low. what made it strong is that crit damage was at 70 which can be improved by perks, plus a sneak kill always ensures a crit which benefits the unique bb gun greatly because it is by default a silenced weapon.

If you look at the date, its the same day as the beginning of the game, October 19th 2281. therefore this guy just modded a character with this build. he didnt even play to get his guy to this point. what a liar. i bet he didnt even really play this build at all and came up with the idea for a youtube video and just made this modded save to do it.
I use console commands to make these videos in a reasonable amount of time.
I've told everyone who asks or points this out in the comments.
I haven't actually seen any videos regarding "BB gun light armor critical hit stealth" builds but it's not too hard to whip one together when somebody knows the game well enough.
Lastly, I use no gameplay altering mods in any of these videos unless stated otherwise in the description.
You can absolutely recreate any of these videos on a console version using enough time, patience, planning and dedication.

Unironically, with a seriously optimised build. You could make this work for a whole playthrough. It would save you investing anything into Strength and by the time you find the unique BB Gun you should be at Level 14-15 by the time you get to it following the storyline quests so Better Criticals would be just in time once you've cleared Freeeside of quests too.
i dont know how this video ended up in my recommended, but i will not even complain.

I never knew one could be so awesome with NV. Watching this really makes me feel like I don't know how to play NV. I just generally use a powerful gun, powerful ammo, no traits, no drugs and 1-3 weapons. But this guy went in like a boss? Heh. You definitely know how to play Fallout New Vegas.

level 50 in New Vegas where almost 90% perks you can get until that level make late game OP, why not try out with Jsawyer original mod, or the best one Jsawyer Ultimate Edition, it will level cap to 35 with perk every 2 level, going back to the challenge of classic Fallout was supposed to be.
